Chapter 48 - Crazy Dr with a Satanic witchcraft

"I'll leave after disconnecting the IV drip," Sebastian said out of pity when his Jazmine looked like she was about to cry. He shouldn't push her too far. No matter how much he enjoyed teasing her, she was still recovering. He should be gentle with her.

So, being thoughtful, he decided this was enough.

For today, of course.

He was so kind.

Somehow, Jazmine endured his imposing presence until the IV drip finished. All the while, he kept staring at her as if she were some rare piece of jewel—his jewel. She really wanted to poke something in his eyes.

Luckily, the IV drip finished in ten minutes.

Once the IV drip was finished, the crazy doctor walked to her right side and gently took out the needle. He had to lean over her slightly to do so, and once again, Jazmine's heart rate picked up.

She cursed under her breath.

His faint cologne felt pleasant to her senses. It was intoxicating.

His fingers brushed her skin, leaving a faint, lingering tingling.

What sort of satanic witchcraft was this man using?

How could he make her feel like a hormonal teenager with just his presence?

Jazmine repeatedly pinched herself with her other hand, trying to keep herself from completely losing it.

Just when she felt like she was going to snap, the door flew open, and Frank barged in, his blond hair dishevelled, his eyes groggy.

"Jazmine! You're awake! How are you feeling?"

Never in her entire life had she been happier to see Frank than at this very moment.

The crazy doctor finally left.

She let out a long sigh of relief.

"While you were unconscious, your secretary, Emily Carrol, called. She said there was something important..."

"You didn't tell her I was unconscious?"

"I did... Why?"

Emily would have informed her grandfather.

And the last thing Jazmine wanted was to get an earful from her grandfather.

She picked up her phone and checked her notifications. The screen lit up, and her expression froze.

"What is it, Jazmine?"

"Caroline Anderson. Remember how she said she would get back at me? Looks like she's already set her plans into motion."

She tilted the screen toward Frank.

Thousands of insults flooded her social media account. They traced the source back to several viral photos—doctored images of her and Frank. In one, it looked as if they were kissing. Another picture captured Frank helping her into the hospital.

There were already countless rumors.

"What a slut! How long has it even been since she got married?"

"No. I won't allow this. I won't allow a married woman to defile my Prince!"

"Guys, look closely. What do these photos reveal? They were spotted in a hospital. Think carefully. What else could it be? The slut must have gotten herself pregnant with Frank's child! He must have dragged her there for an abortion!"

"Well, if you think about it logically, it does make sense..."

"Was she not satisfied with one tycoon, so she stole our prince? No. I won't accept this! I won't share my prince with anyone—especially not a married woman! @Jazmine_Harrison, leave our prince alone!"

"@Jazmine_Harrison, go to hell!"

Before they could continue reading more insults, Frank grabbed the phone from her hands.

"Let me call my manager."

New novel 𝓬hapters are published on ƒreewebɳovel.com.

"No need."

"Jazmine, you just recovered. Don't stress over this. Don't read those nasty comments. They're just haters. Trust me, they can be ruthless in their insults—"

But Jazmine was calm.

"The CCTV footage. Where is it?"

"I sent it to your secretary by Rolf's hands."

She frowned slightly.

This wasn't just about social media.

She was sure the news had already spread to media channels and had probably been printed in the morning papers by now.

As President of Tang Enterprises, her reputation was critical. Any scandal involving her would have direct consequences on the company's stocks.

Just then, her phone rang.

Unknown Number.

Jazmine picked up.

"You must have received the news by now."

She immediately recognized the cheerful voice on the other end.

Caroline Anderson.

"Do you regret it now?" Caroline laughed. "This is just a glimpse of what I can do. Did I not warn you that I would get back at you? No one has ever humiliated me like that. But you dared. And now? You'll bear the consequences."

Jazmine remained silent, letting her talk.

"So, what's your plan now? Trying to remove all those scandals? Let me save you the trouble—you'll fail. Unless, of course, you hire a million people to work day and night scrubbing my handiwork from the internet."

Caroline chuckled darkly.

"But don't just focus on this little show. There's a lot worse coming your way. Trust me, I can do far worse than this."

Jazmine let out a soft, dramatic sigh.

Then, in a voice tinged with forced hurt, she said:

"Sister Caroline... I never would have guessed you'd do something like this."

She made sure her tone was just the right amount of wounded.

"But I'm not a coward," she added, her voice growing firmer. "I won't forgive you for what you did at the restaurant."

Caroline scoffed.

"Still so arrogant? Tch. But it doesn't matter. I already wiped all the CCTV footage while you were lying unconscious in the hospital."

She let out a mocking sigh.

"You know my favourite rumour? That you got pregnant by Frank and he forced you to have an abortion? Genius, right? I thought of it myself.

"You have no way out, Jazmine. The truth? No one will ever know it.

"So good luck, darling, trying to prove you're not a coward."

She hung up with a laugh.

Jazmine rolled her eyes.

"Idiot," she muttered.

"You recorded the call, didn't you?" Frank asked, deadpan.

Jazmine smirked. "How do you know me so well?"

Frank cleared his throat before mimicking her earlier voice, raising his pitch dramatically.

"Sister Caroline, I never would have guessed you'd do something like this..."

Jazmine threw a pillow at him.

"I immediately knew you were recording," he said smugly.

Jazmine flipped her hair. "Of course."

Her lips curled into a sharp, knowing smile.

"Now, let's discuss the content of the statement we'll be releasing tomorrow."

She had everything planned out.

One thing was certain. She was not losing out.
