Chapter 21: Revenge Served Hot!! 1

"I can’t swim!" she cried out, her voice trembling.

Without hesitation, Rowen jumped into the pool, his heart pounding. The cold water surrounded him as he swam towards Vanessa, who was struggling to stay afloat. Her panicked movements made it harder for him to reach her, but he pushed forward.

Wrapping his arms around her, he held her close, keeping her above the water.

For a brief moment, panic flickered in Rowen’s eyes what if he wasn’t strong enough? But he shook it off and focused. With a push, he guided her towards the poolside.

He broke through the surface, gasping for air, as he lifted Vanessa out of the water. Rachel tried to step in, but Rowen pushed past her, his gaze locked onto Erin. His intense stare made it clear he knew Erin was behind this.

Without saying a word, Rowen carried Vanessa away, taking her back to the hotel room as some hotel attenders came to help.

Arriving at his suite, He placed Vanessa down carefully, wrapping her in a dry towel. He handed her a bottle of water, watching over her as she shivered.

"You’re safe now," he said softly, his voice steady despite the anger still boiling inside him.

Vanessa barely had time to nod before exhaustion took over, and she passed out.

---

When Vanessa woke up, the room was dimly lit. The soft glow of a few lamps cast gentle shadows around the suite, while the rest of the space remained in darkness.

She sat up slowly, her body still feeling heavy from earlier. Glancing around, she noticed the city lights twinkling outside the window. The night was peaceful, yet there was a strange pull inside her, guiding her forward.

Stepping out of bed, she walked quietly across the room. And there, in the dim light, she saw Rowen. He was sitting alone, deep in thought, his posture relaxed but his mind clearly elsewhere.

Without hesitation, Vanessa moved closer. She didn’t say a word as she settled onto his lap, wrapping her arms around him.

Rowen stiffened slightly, surprised by her sudden closeness. But as her warmth sank into him, he exhaled slowly, his arms instinctively circling her waist.

"You said I couldn’t seduce you right? I’ll prove you wrong!"

Vanessa said as she wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him close for a kiss.

As their lips met, Vanessa pressed herself closer, her fingers tangling in Rowen’s hair as she deepened the kiss. His grip on her waist tightened, pulling her firmly against him, their bodies flush. A low, almost involuntary groan escaped him as he responded, his lips moving with a hunger that sent a shiver down her spine.

Rowen’s hand slid up her back, his touch possessive yet careful, as if trying to memorize every curve beneath his fingers. Vanessa’s heart pounded, heat surging through her veins as she tilted her head, giving in completely to the moment.

Just as the moment grew more intense, a sudden knock echoed through the room, shattering the intimacy between them. They broke apart, both breathing heavily as their eyes met. Before either could react, the door opened, and Rachel stepped inside.

She paused, her gaze flickering between the two of them before she forced a smile. "Vanessa, how are you feeling? I was so worried about you."

Vanessa quickly stood, adjusting the towel around her shoulders. "I’m fine," she replied shortly, her voice guarded.

Rachel nodded, her eyes lingering on Rowen for a moment before she turned back to Vanessa. "That’s good to hear. I wanted to check on you personally."

"I appreciate it," Vanessa said, her tone polite but distant. "But I should head back to my suite now." Without waiting for a response, she walked past Rachel and exited the room.

---

Later that night, Rowen made his way toward Erin, his expression unreadable. Erin stood near the balcony, arms crossed, watching Rowen approach.

"I know it was you," Rowen said, his voice low and cold.

Erin exhaled, his gaze steady. "And?" He tilted his head slightly. "I didn’t mean for things to get out of hand, but let’s be honest Vanessa won’t believe you even if you tell her." His smirk was faint. "She trusts me more than she trusts you."

Rowen clenched his jaw, his fists tightening. He didn’t reply, but his gaze was sharp, filled with silent fury.

---

Meanwhile, Vanessa had stepped out of her suite, craving fresh air. As she walked down the corridor, she spotted Rachel speaking in hushed tones with a waitress. Vanessa quickly hid behind a nearby pillar, watching intently.

Rachel handed the waitress a glass of champagne, pointing discreetly in Rowen’s direction. "Give this to him," she instructed. "Make sure no one else gets it."

Vanessa’s eyes narrowed as she watched Rachel walk away. Without hesitation, she approached the waitress.

"How much did she pay you?" Vanessa asked, her voice calm but firm.

The waitress hesitated before answering. "Two hundred."

Vanessa pulled out a wad of cash and handed it to her. "Here’s five times that amount. Give the drink to Erin instead."

The waitress’ eyes widened, but she nodded quickly, tucking the money away. Vanessa then moved swiftly, switching the room signs between Rowen’s suite and Erin’s before slipping away unnoticed.

Standing back, she smirked to herself, whispering under her breath, "I’ll make sure I teach both you and Erin a big lesson, Rachel. Just wait and see..."
