Rebirth, Seduce My Ex-husband-Chapter 29: "Let’s Get Married"
Opening her eyes, Vanessa’s body ached slightly. She tried to move, but the pain only increased.
Just then, the bathroom door opened, and stepping out was Rowen, his hair wet, with the only piece of clothing on him being the towel wrapped around his waist.
Seeing her, Rowen instinctively crossed his arms over his chest, bracing himself for her to shout or insult him, but she just stared at him her eyes obviously fixed below his abdomen.
Wait! Don’t tell me she’s still under the effect? He coughed slightly.
But Vanessa was no longer under any effect, yet she couldn’t help but drool. Rowen looked so hot.
This was her first time seeing him shirtless in a long time. She had forgotten how built he was. His suit always covered his toned muscles.
Breaking her awkward stare, Vanessa tried to get up, but as soon as her legs touched the cold ground, she collapsed.
Quickly running to her rescue, Rowen lifted her in a bridal style as she just stared into his eyes.
"Are you alright?" he asked, placing her back on the bed.
"Not really. It really hurts," she admitted softly, her lashes fluttering slightly.
Knowing he was the cause of her pain, Rowen was about to apologize when Vanessa suddenly placed her hand over his mouth, stopping him from speaking.
"I know what you want to say, so save it. I should be thanking you for helping me... You even had to sacrifice your body for me. Thanks a lot."
She smiled slightly as Rowen tilted his head. His wife had truly become an entirely different person.
The Vanessa of yesterday would have thrown a knife at him if he had dared even look at her thighs.
"The doctor is on her way. She’ll check on you and give you some painkillers... And I’m sorry about last night. I didn’t know I would hurt you like this."
Turning red, Vanessa tried covering her face as she responded, "It’s not your fault I’m in so much pain. It’s actually because I-I haven’t done it in a very, very long time... So it hurt just as much as it did the first time."
Hearing this, Rowen was taken aback. "But haven’t you slept with Erin before?" he asked, confused.
"What?! No, of course not," Vanessa denied immediately. "I know that maybe he and I did have a relationship before, but I never once slept with him. I may have hated you back then, but that didn’t mean I would lose my upbringing. I wanted to wait until marriage before I did anything with him."
"Are you still waiting?" Rowen questioned, his eyes fixed solely on her.
Smiling, Vanessa wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close. "Does it still look like I give a damn about that asshole?"
Just then, a knock was heard, followed by the door opening. It was the female doctor. With that, Rowen left to give them some privacy.

Meanwhile, Eunice opened her eyes and sobbed in pain. Trying to stand up, she was immediately met with a sudden pain that made her entire body freeze.
She was confused about where she was and what had happened. Then she remembered how she had been taken away by a masked figure.
Turning her head, she saw a 30-year-old-looking man sleeping beside her, and she immediately let out a loud scream.
But she quickly covered her mouth so she wouldn’t attract unwanted attention.
"No, no, no, no... This can’t be happening." She felt like fainting at this point.
This was the person who was supposed to sleep with Vanessa, so what the hell was going on? Why was she here instead?
Now wasn’t the time to think about it. She had to leave quickly before the paparazzi arrived and caught her instead of Vanessa.
Taking her clothes and shoes, she immediately escaped despite the excessive pain she was feeling.
She would surely get Vanessa back for this. She would.
But she didn’t know one thing Vanessa was always one step ahead.

Stepping into her apartment, Vanessa collapsed softly onto her couch. She was exhausted, even though she had just woken up.
But she blushed slightly as she thought of last night’s activity.
That was her first time doing something with Rowen forced yet willingly.
When they were drugged seven years ago, she couldn’t even remember a thing. All she knew was that she had woken up naked, next to a handsome man.
But last night’s activity was totally stuck in her head. There was no way she would ever forget it.
Smiling, she was just about to relax when the door suddenly burst open, and Erin walked in.
Upon seeing him, Vanessa was taken by surprise, but before she could say anything, he immediately walked toward her and pulled her into a tight hug.
"E-Erin? What are you doing here?" she questioned as she pushed him away slightly.
"I came to apologize to you properly. I’m sorry about what happened last time. And that Rachel, I’ll deal with her, don’t worry!"
"It’s alright. I’ve already forgiven you. It’s not your fault anyway," Vanessa sighed, though she felt like throwing him out of her apartment immediately.
Happy to hear that, Erin laughed. "Good. In that case, why don’t we discuss something more important?"
"Important? What’s that?" she questioned, her voice confused.
"What else but our marriage?" he stated.
Hearing that, Vanessa paused. She remembered how, in her past life, she had begged Erin to marry her almost every single day after her divorce from Rowen, but he had always given her one foolish excuse after another.
It was funny how the tables had turned so easily.
Taking hold of her hands, Erin grinned. "I know I’ve been postponing our wedding for so long, but now I’m fully ready to marry you. In fact, I’ll take you to visit my mother, and we’ll set up our wedding. All I need is for you to get the files."
Hearing that, Vanessa felt like laughing.
He must have sensed that something about her had changed, and now he was trying to speed things up.
Alright. She’d have to play along.
After all, it was the only way she could finally exact her revenge on him.
"Alright then," she said with a sweet smile. "Let’s get married!"
