Rebirth, Seduce My Ex-husband-Chapter 33: Off To Willows
Fiona took on Eunice’s role, and the movie shoot continued. Eunice stayed away, and in less than a week, they were done.
"It’s a wrap!" the director announced, and everyone applauded.
Walking toward Vanessa, the director smiled. "It was wonderful working with you, Miss Owen. You truly live up to your reputation. I hope to work with you again."
He shook Vanessa’s hand as she smiled and nodded.
"Alright, everyone! Tonight, we celebrate. Dinner’s on me!" the director shouted, earning cheers from the crew.
As Fiona approached Vanessa, she could sense her gloominess. It had been this way since they started shooting.
Vanessa checked her phone and turned it back off, only to turn around and see Fiona standing there. "Whoa! You startled me!"
"Are you checking to see if Rowen called or texted?" Fiona asked bluntly.
Vanessa brushed her off. "I’m not. Why would you think that? Besides, if he hasn’t reached out, he’s probably just busy."
"Or maybe he’s upset about something. Try texting him and asking what’s wrong," Fiona suggested.
"You think I haven’t tried? He ignores my calls and sends me straight to voicemail. I can handle anything, but I can’t stand that he won’t even let me see Tara," Vanessa said, folding her arms in frustration.
She didn’t still know why he has been ignoring her these past few days. She thought she had at least earned a little bit of his trust, for crying out loud they even slept together yet he was still this cold and heartless.
Sigh! At this point she didn’t know what to do, she just wanted to give up and go sleep. She was tired of being a good wife.
Just then, Susan appeared. "You girls should get ready. The director is throwing a little dinner party for us. I’ll go get the van ready. See you in five!"
She left, and Vanessa sighed. "I don’t feel like going to the party. I’d rather go home, lie down, and watch Real Housewives of Graceland. That’ll cheer me up."
"Oh, speaking of that, I heard Season Two is premiering today! I’m completely hooked on it," Fiona said excitedly.
Vanessa laughed. "You have to watch it. It’s hilarious! Especially when Natalia used her new Porsche just to take her dog to a spa and rub it in Camilla’s face."
Fiona looked confused. "Really? When did that happen?"
Vanessa paused. She had forgotten that she was in the past there was no way Fiona had seen that episode yet. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Laughing it off, she made up an excuse, but then something clicked in her mind. She remembered watching that exact premiere, but she also remembered that, on the same day, news of Rowen’s attack had spread all over Graceland.
No way! It was today!
Panicking, Vanessa quickly took out her phone and dialed Rowen’s number. It went straight to voicemail again.
Without hesitation, she grabbed her coat and turned to Fiona. "Umm... I have somewhere really important to be right now. Let’s meet up later, okay? And please tell Susan I couldn’t make it."
"W-what?! Where are you going?" Fiona asked, surprised.
"I’m going to Willows, baby!"
---
Rowen was incredibly wealthy, the richest man in Graceland, which naturally attracted enemies.
If she remembered correctly, he had gone to Willows for a two-day business trip, not knowing it was a trap. His life had been at stake, but thankfully, he was saved. A happy ending, right? Wrong!
That was also the day he met her.
If this were a novel, Vanessa would be labeled the villainess, and she would be the heroine.
Stacy Sinclair.
A regular hotel worker who had overheard the conversation of those planning to attack Rowen. Like the heroine she was, she swooped in and saved him at the last minute.
And that’s how they met and fell in love. While Vanessa had been laughing at a reality TV show, another woman had been stealing her man.
But this time, she wasn’t going to let that happen. Stacy or Tracy, whatever her name was would never get the chance to save Rowen. Because this time, Vanessa would save him first.
No matter what she has to find a way to get him not to go for the business trip or rather if necessary save him before Stacy.
---
By 7 PM, Vanessa had booked a taxi and headed straight to the Quinn Mansion.
Thankfully, she arrived just in time to see Rowen and George leaving. They had just entered their car when she sprinted forward, standing in front of it with her arms stretched wide.
The car came to an abrupt stop. Both George and Rowen were shocked by her sudden appearance. Annoyed, Rowen stepped out of the vehicle and marched toward her.
"Vanessa! What the hell? You can’t just jump in front of a moving car! What if George had hit you? You could have—"
Frustrated, Rowen exhaled sharply. "What do you want? Didn’t I tell you to stay away from me? What are you doing here?"
Vanessa folded her arms. "I’m here because I feel wronged by you."
"Wronged?"
"Yes! Out of nowhere, you start treating me horribly, saying mean things, and even stopping me from seeing Tara. Just because I’ve changed doesn’t mean you get to walk all over me. If you don’t tell me why you’ve been acting this way, then I’m not leaving."
Her voice was firm, her stance unwavering.
Rowen scoffed. "I don’t know what game you’re playing, but I don’t have time for this. I have a flight to catch. Now leave and go home."
He turned to get into his car, but before he could, Vanessa dashed to the back seat and hopped in, leaving both him and George stunned.
"You want to get rid of me? Dream on! Either you tell me why you’ve been so cold to me, or you take me with you."
Rowen let out an exasperated sigh. "You want to tag along? Fine. Suit yourself. George, let’s go!"
A triumphant smile appeared on Vanessa’s face.
She was going to fight for her man no matter what.
