Rebirth: The Heiress Plans Her Revenge-Chapter 81: Real Mother?
Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Real Mother?
"If that is your decision, then we will stand by it," Mrs. Zhang was ecstatic. At least, there was a chance her surname could be changed, then she had nothing to worry about.
"Master, Mistress, the Young Master is back home," the butler announced and a very, tall, handsome walked in.
One look at him, one would realize that he was Cheng Luiying’s brother. They had the same facial features, resembling their mother.
"Caixuan, you are back home, I was not expecting you to get off work this early," Mrs. Zhang exclaimed, looking at her first son.
Zhang Caixuan’s eyes darted towards Cheng Luiying who was nervous. She was meeting her brother for the first time, and she had no idea as to how she was to react.
"Welcome to your real family, I am happy to have you here," Zhang Caixuan said in a simple tone, but one could hear the underlying happiness in his voice.
"Mom, dad, I am home, where is she? Where is my big sister?" They suddenly heard a loud voice, it belonged to a female and all eyes turned to the source of the noise.
Cheng Luiying was surprised to see who it was.
"Linlin?" She called with a tentative voice as she looked at the familiar lady.
"Boss!" The girl called Linlin exclaimed on seeing Cheng Luiying.
Cheng Luiying folded her arms with her brows raised. She was not expecting Gong Mi’s special disciple and her worker to turn out to be the Zhang family’s youngest daughter and in turn her sister.
"Boss?" Mrs. Zhang questioned with a confused look.
"She is Linlin, she works in my craft shop as the head of the design and crafts," there was a slight twinkle in her eyes as she talked about her shop.
"So that is how it is, is this is the reason you don’t want to go to school for now?" Mr. Zhang asked, and she lowered her head innocently.
"You would rather not attend school?" Cheng Luiying asked with a frown. She had thought that because she was Gong Mi’s disciple, then she might not have the opportunity, it turns out, she was the one who was not willing.
"I have gotten admitted into the Beijing university, but I honestly do not know what the hype is all about," she frowned and one could see the distaste she had for the school.
Zhang Caixuan looked at his little sister who had her brows creased as she took a seat beside his newfound sister, and he shook his head. He turned to look at his mom and seeing the look on her face, he knew what was coming next.
"Xin Yi, can I speak with for a second? I promise it will not take much of your time," he said, and the two men walked away from the living room.
Zhang Caixuan took him to another room which looked like the wine cellar. It was confirmed to be a wine cellar when Zhang Caixuan pulled out a bottle and two glass cups before pouring them drinks.
"Care for some?" He asked as he stretched his hands towards Xin Yi, who graciously accepted it.
"Please, have a seat," Zhang Caixuan gestured towards the sofa, the both of them having their seat.
"I never expected that the child my parents thought they had lost is alive and, she is Cheng Luiying, I am quite intrigued, do you want to know why?" Zhang Caixuan swirled the glass cup in his hand, asking the question.
He looked towards Xin Yi who was pay rapt attention to him and he smiled.
"I think it is a conspiracy, it was all a conspiracy and if I should find the person who separated my mother from her daughter, causing her to shed tears daily, no one should tell me to stop," Xin Yi frowned as he listened to his words.
He could hear the darkness just by listening to him. It was something he also possessed, and it was only made manifest when it included one’s family.
"Well, I did not call you hear to bore you, I just want you to know that my sister has a backing now, she must not suffer as she suffered a lot, if you make her shed tears, I will convince her to divorce you and marry another person," Zhang Caixuan threatened.
Xin Yi raised his eyebrows but inwardly, he felt relieved. His father-in-law had warned him earlier, now, his brother-in-law just threatened him.
It showed what sort of family they were. They might have just met her, but they considered her to be one of them, which he felt was a superb thing.
"You do not have to worry, and your threat is not needed, I love Yingying, and I will not give you the chance to carry out your threat," Xin Yi promised solemnly.
"I will keep your word to that, but nevertheless, I still cannot believe she is my sister, anytime we attended banquets, and she was present, I will feel drawn to her, I had always thought I had a crush on her, but it turns out, she is just my sister...," His voice trailed towards the end as he felt cold.
He looked towards Xin Yi, who was staring at him with a death stare. He nervously rubbed his shoulders, and chuckled.
"I was just joking, okay? She is my sister and your wife, nothing can change that," He said to him, and he was surprised to find that the chilly expression was averted.
He looked towards Xin Yi and the urge to laugh washed over him. He was jealous of his brother-in-law! Now, that was unexpected.
