Reborn As A Doomsday Villainess-Chapter 119: Captured(2)
Chapter 119: Captured(2)
"I don’t think it’s a fair game to expect answers from us while were blindfolded.."
".." fгeewebnovёl.com
Feng Yizhou answered slowly, of course it was easy for them to escape this place but it seems Qingran had something else she was looking for.
"Very well. You there, take off the blindfold.."
The blindfolds were quickly removed , the man eyes widened when he saw Qingran’s face.
He was entranced by her beauty, but that was one thing, the fact that he could see the "Gu Qingran" the scientist that her virus was being use to orchestrated was right in front of him.
"Miss Gu. It’s quite nice to finally meet you. I wonder why a fine lady like yourself..is in a place like this.."
He raised his hands to touch her face but Feng Yizhou spoke up making him freeze.
"Please keep your hands away from my girl. Whatever you want to say, say it at a reasonable distance.."
"..."
The man scoffed as his eyes twitched "The one in the chair is you and you’re telling me what to do? I could just kill you right now..
"You could try, but don’t touch my woman.."
Both men had fallen into a staring contest, but Feng Yizhou gaze was so strong, the man had to look away.
The silence stretched for a second longer before the man chuckled, low and strained.
"You’re quite the bold one," he muttered, shifting back in his chair. "No wonder the two of you caused such a mess downstairs."
Qingran didn’t say anything. Her eyes were steady, watching every twitch of the man’s expression. She was already thinking ten steps ahead, about the cameras in the corner, the layout of the room, the nearest guard’s holster.
The man leaned forward slightly, but this time kept his hands to himself.
"I’ll be honest," he said, voice lighter now. "You’ve caused a bit of a stir. We didn’t expect anyone to breach the lower floors, much less walk out with classified data."
Feng Yizhou smiled faintly. "Then I guess your expectations were a little too high."
The man’s eyes narrowed. He stood up, walking around the table as if to circle them.
"But why?" he asked, his voice curious now.
"Why would someone like you—Miss Gu—come back to the very place that turned your work into a weapon?"
Qingran finally answered, her voice quiet but clear.
"Because I wanted to see which rat was still chewing on my name."
The man’s expression shifted.
Offended, maybe. Or nervous.
She couldn’t tell which and didn’t care.
He stopped behind her chair, tapping the metal lightly with his fingers.
"Well. Now that we’ve all introduced ourselves... why don’t you tell me what you’ve seen. What you took. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll let you walk out of here."
Qingran’s voice was calm.
"No."
He blinked.
"No?"
She tilted her head slightly. "I didn’t see anything..I have nothing to tell you. Besides how can you call it an introduction if we don’t know who you are?"
The man’s jaw clenched for a moment.
He wasn’t used to being spoken to like this—especially not by someone in restraints.
"You don’t need to know who I am," he said slowly, circling back to stand in front of them. "You just need to understand that you’re in no position to ask questions."
Feng Yizhou leaned back slightly in his chair, his tone still smooth. "That’s funny. You’ve got two people in front of you who slipped through, your files, your security... and you think you’re in control?"
"Cute bluff," the man muttered, though his hand twitched slightly at his side.
But Qingran wasn’t bluffing, and she didn’t bother correcting him.
"I think you’re the one who’s nervous," she said, her voice quiet again, measured. "We found what you were hiding. The files, the shipment records. The names. Do you really think we need to walk out of here to make that a problem for you?"
That struck a nerve.
His eyes darkened, and his tone dropped.
"You think you’re untouchable? Just because of your reputation?"
"No" she said simply. "Because of the truth."
The room went still. A faint hum from the lights above buzzed somewhere in the silence.
Then, slowly, he stepped forward again, just enough to lean his hands on the table between them.
"You’re betting on that truth saving you?" he asked. "I’m not sure you understand how little that matters anymore."
"Maybe," Qingran said, unmoved. "But it’ll matter to the people who are about to find out."
The man stared at her, and for the first time, the mask of calm began to crack.
He turned to the guard at the door. "Take them to the isolation block."
"Sir—"
"Now!!"
But Qingran smiled faintly as the guards stepped forward.
The smile was neither smug nor proud; it was cold and quiet, the kind that suggested she had already thought this through.
This time, the guards didn’t hesitate. One of them yanked Qingran up roughly by the arm, while the other moved to Feng Yizhou.
Still cuffed, they were dragged out of the room and down the dim corridor, their footsteps echoing off the concrete walls. The silence between them was oppressive.
Qingran’s eyes scanned every corner, every camera, every flicker of light above their heads, as the air grew thinner with each step.
They were taken deeper underground, past the last checkpoint, where signs and doors gave way to stronger metal walls and more silence.
The procession stopped at a heavy steel door. The guard tapped a code into the panel, and the lock hissed.
The door swung open slowly, revealing a narrow, empty room with nothing but a smooth floor and no visible vents.
The room was empty and spacious.
Feng Yizhou stepped in first then followed by Qingran. The guards removed their cuffs, shoved them both forward, and slammed the door shut behind them with a loud clang.
The sudden quiet was oppressive, pressing into their ears and making their own breaths sound too loud.
There was no airflow, and the lights buzzed faintly above. Feng Yizhou looked at Qingran, but she didn’t speak right away. She walked slowly to the wall, placing her hand on the surface to feel for temperature.
Then she turned, finally looking at him.
"Three minutes," she said softly. "Until the oxygen’s completely gone."
Feng Yizhou raised an eyebrow. "That’s generous."
