Day 7.

March 27th, Year 583 A.G.

That morning, Leon felt like he just went through a baptism. His whole body was brimming with energy and excitement.

His ADE density and capacity remained the same, nothing significant changed, he was still an E Rank Mechanist but after last night he felt like the very essence of him changed.

The core of the Mechanist Class has always been knowledge and construction. By assimilating all the knowledge scrolls that Ren Nora provided during the night, Leon felt like he just evolved.

His knowledge about literally everything evolved.

Machine Learning and Deep Learning is the knowledge that enables programmers to develop algorithms that allow systems to learn from data, make predictions, or make decisions without being explicitly programmed.

It’s a core knowledge in A.I programming.

Leon knew a bit of it as instinctive knowledge from his previous life, he implemented basic machine learning algorithms during Davis’s creation.

But with the Advanced Machine Learning language, Leon finally saw more ways to improve his A.I’s overall learning ability.

Not just his A.I, improving Davis would also improve the Machine Learning capabilities of the Doom Rover v0.1 robot.

Leon thought the only time he would be able to upgrade Davis was after he became a D Rank Mechanist, but now he had a quicker path to it.

Paired with the Advanced Artificial Intelligence knowledge scroll, and the Advanced Computer Graphics and Visualization knowledge scroll, Leon no longer slept the moment he got his gift from Ren Nora.

He jumped straight to work.

Around 4:10am, he immediately started working on editing Davis’s lines of codes to upgrade the A.I.

Advanced Computer Graphics and Visualization gave him the knowledge to create realistic images, simulations, and 3D modeling for hyper-realistic virtual projections.

The knowledge scroll on Data Science & Big Data also influenced his decision to immediately start Davis’s upgrade work because with it, he learned to code and improve his A.I’s ability to mine large datasets to extract insights using advanced statistics, data analysis, and visualization.

With this, he would need to increase Davis’s processor power for scalability to be able to use its upgraded capabilities efficiently.

Leon was not worried though.

With the leader of the Freegrid Collective now backing him, it essentially meant he now had access to the riches of the rebel faction.

Advanced Mathematical Foundations also played a big role in his decision to upgrade Davis because it enhanced Leon’s overall grasp on probability knowledge, statistics, and discrete mathematics for AI and algorithm analysis.

If before Leon had the knowledge of a great programmer, he directly skipped past the elite level and felt like a Grandmaster programmer now.

Considering the role that he intended for Davis to play in his plan to trap a C Rank Ascended, he didn’t shy from the challenge of upgrading the A.I system.

As for the other knowledge like Cybersecurity and Cryptography, it taught him more techniques to secure Davis’s information systems and protect the A.I’s network integrity by implementing advanced encryption methods.

This was especially important against NetRunners. By implementing Advanced Cybersecurity and Cryptography, it would become hard for even a D Rank NetRunner to break the A.I’s psionic defenses.

As for the IOT knowledge and Computer Architecture & Embedded Systems, the moment Leon assimilated the knowledge, he got new ideas to optimize the Doom Rover v0.1’s architectural design.

These knowledge plus Human-Computer Interaction also gave Leon the bold idea of creating a mech.

’A mech should be a viable construct for a Mechanist right?’

He had no idea if there were already mechs in this world, but Leon felt that with this knowledge, creating a mech was feasible.

The creation of the Doom Rover v0.1 was a big milestone in his career as a Mechanist, now with the Advanced knowledge on Human-Computer Interaction, his head began floating with ideas on how to take his robot design a step further.

The idea was ambitious and Leon noticed multiple flaws about it already, mostly concerning sabotage from NetRunners but with Advanced Cybersecurity & Cryptography, Leon was no longer defenseless against NetRunners.

With Advanced Cybersecurity, he believed that he could build Davis to be strong enough to at least resist certain D Rank NetRunners that were not threading the Code Phantom Specialization path.

Leon didn’t just get ideas with the knowledge scrolls though, he also got ideas regarding the 2 blueprints that Ren Nora provided.

They were just 2 blueprints but they had specialized usages.

The Vita7 Magnesium Nanite is literally an artificially created member of a nanite storm. With enough Vita7 Magnesium Nanites, Leon believed that he could create an artificial nanite storm!

This alone made the blueprint extremely important.

Leon guessed that the reason why the rebel army didn’t use the tactic of an artificial nanite storm against the Federation Army was because they didn’t have competent Mechanists to create enough magnesium nanites to sustain such a tactic.

Apart from the possibility of creating an artificial nanite storm, the base effect of the Vita7 Magnesium Nanite is the fact that when exposed to air, they ignite non-stop in violent fiery combustions!

It was Leon’s second D Rank Blueprint besides the Doom Rover v0.1.

As for the Mosquito i7 pac 3060 blueprint, it was another D Rank Blueprint. The end result of constructing it is a tiny mosquito that instead of sucking blood injects poison into targets.

They’re versatile enough to inject biological poisons in Geneforms and synthetic poisons in Synths and A.I Constructs.

Their greatest utility was their stealth, and the fact that they could affect even C Rank Ascended!

If a C Rank Ascended was not deliberately alert against their presence, they can disguise as normal mosquitoes to inject poison.

The poison is potent enough to kill an F Rank Ascended in seconds, an E Rank Ascended within 2 minutes, and a D Rank Ascended in less than 10 minutes!

From the note that was attached to the blueprint, experiments by the Freegrid Collective showed that the poison was incapable of killing C Rank Ascended, but it could weaken them if injected successfully.

Leon felt like he was floating in paradise that morning.

’This is what I’m f*cking talking about!’

As a Mechanist though, he looked beyond the normal utility of the blueprints.

For the Mosquito i7 pac 3060, Leon saw potential in a device that could vastly enhance his stealth offensive power in an insidious manner.

With Miniaturization, Leon was confident in making the Mosquito i7 pac 3060 even smaller to a microscopic level!

A C Rank Ascended can’t defend against something that they can’t even see.

In the hands of any other Ascended, the Mosquito i7 pac 3060 was a powerful device but in the hands of a bold and competent Mechanist, it becomes a God-killing device!

Leon also saw it as an alternative to give him more eyes in a battlefield, both the Magnesium Nanite blueprint and the Mosquito i7.

Both blueprints came with vision and motion sensors.

By tweaking their design a bit, Leon believed that he could turn them into tiny drones through which he could expand his vision in a battlefield, giving him even more eyes to see.

Even if he couldn’t control all of them with Drone Control Matrix, Davis could be his eyes, relaying every important information to him.

Leon was excited. ’I can’t wait to upgrade Davis!’

He quickly lost himself in his work.

Later that day, the war continued as General Sylvari Charr led another attack on Iron Reef!
