The reason why they seem unkillable is because a combination of different abilities make their defense abnormally high, making it extremely hard for an enemy, even a high-ranking enemy to overwhelm their defenses and kill them in a single attack.

And so long a high ranking Gene Augur was not killed immediately, he could always regenerate which was why they were deemed unkillable.

For the past few minutes, the D Rank Gene Augur flirted with the idea of death as he recklessly engaged the General in battle, eating attacks that would obliterate any other D Rank Ascended.

Major Murphy didn’t even use a weapon, his fists were his weapons as by manipulating reality constants, he turned them into weapons of mass destruction.

And as he fought, he gradually realized the threshold limit of the defense of the pestering Gene Augur.

He calculated that a punch thrown at speeds reaching 10 times the speed of sound would be what would finally exceed the Gene Augur’s limit, breaking down his body into a bloody mist and literally evaporating him in a brutal death!

The moment General Murphy calculated it, he did it.

To a C Rank Reality Sculptor, a punch reaching 10 times the speed of sound was doable by simply manipulating the reality constant of the speed of light.

General Murphy didn’t even activate his Reality Node ability yet since he didn’t want to use too much ADE, and more importantly because he wanted to enjoy the battle and savor the feeling of slowly and methodically breaking his enemies’ confidence.

Before this, he already deleted Major Garfield from the battlefield as the injured D Rank Pulse Brawler ate a head-on punch from him that decommissioned him from the battle, literally leaving him a cripple.

The Warhammer slammed into General Murphy’s head, breaking through his weak defense and shattering his mechanical skull!

Synthetic oil and internal circuitry erupted like rain in the sky as the others stared in a daze, not believing what they were seeing.

’We did it?’ Major Kai thought as his heart skipped a beat.

And that was when he noticed it.

Even as the General just suffered an attack that should have exceeded his vitality threshold to instantly kill him, he had a taunting smile on his face like he was having the best day of his life.

’What?!’

General Murphy’s white and gold ADE erupted.

Temporal Warden- Time Loop!

GONG!

Major Kai thought he heard a loud gonging sound like in a medieval wall clock, and then time entered a loop!

To Major Kai, time remained normal, flowing normally but as he stared at the Federation General, General Murphy’s physical state suddenly reset like it just hit a loop.

In the blink of an eye, General Murphy’s head returned back to perfect condition like the Knight Exosuit’s Warhammer didn’t just smash his skull open.

’What the...!’ Major Kai’s eyes widened in horror.

Seeing the look on his face, General Murphy ignored the bloody mist still floating in front of him and turned to look at the D Rank NetRunner with a taunting smile on his face.

"You thought you had me?" He grinned. "You thought you had me, right?" His eyes glinted with madness and excitement at his successful prank.

"Muahahahaha, I got you, IT WAS A PRANK!" He roared.

Major Kai’s eyebrows twitched. ’What kind of power is this?’

This was the Core Class Specialization ability of a C Rank Temporal Warden of the Chrono Master Specialization.

Like all other C Rank powerhouses, a C Rank Temporal Warden unlocks only 1 Class Specialization ability- Time Loop.

Time Loop enables a C Rank Temporal Warden to develop short time loops to fit different situations.

A Temporal Warden was no Gene Augur, but with Time Loop, he had the same exaggerated regeneration of a high ranking Gene Augur simply because he could put himself in a loop, returning himself to his peak state with zero injuries.

This essentially makes a Temporal Warden immortal, making them even more broken than the regeneration of a high ranking Gene Augur.

Even if you kill a Temporal Warden, he can just revive by triggering the loop.

Time Loop also enables a Temporal Warden to return to a state where their ADE is at its peak after each loop, making them literally broken!

But the world of ADE is fair.

To put a cap on this overpowered ability, C Rank Temporal Wardens only have a limit of using Time Loop 5 times in a day before it’s locked.

This meant General Murphy could return to his peak state 4 more times in this battle!

Major Lawrence’s life was only worth 1 loop.

In that moment, Major Kai confirmed that they never stood a chance in a battle against this freak of nature.

Seeing the shock and horror on their faces, this General chuckled, clearly enjoying it but then he sighed. "I don’t want Epsilon to yell at me".

He yawned. "It’s time to stop playing".

His white and gold ADE erupted like a tsunami and then, 10 perfect golden clones of General Murphy appeared!
