Chapter 31: Chapter 31: The Norwood Family... Another Member? Editor: Inschain

Selena Kensington watched as the elevator descended layer by layer, ultimately stopping on the tenth floor.

Members of the Norwood Family had their own dedicated elevator at Aethelgard’s Peak. When people in the lobby saw a young couple emerge from the Norwood elevator, they were momentarily taken aback.

The man’s demeanor was cool and distinguished, while the woman was strikingly beautiful.

The Norwood Family... Do they have such people?

But the fact they emerged from the Norwood elevator couldn’t be faked. People could only assume they were less familiar members of some Norwood branch. After all, the Norwood Family has been around for a thousand years, with an extensive lineage and even more relatives.

Encountering a few unfamiliar faces occasionally is quite normal.

Sterling Norwood led Selena to a sofa to sit down.

"What is this place for?"

Selena blinked, observing the opulent lobby.

A lobby of such size, and it was merely a resting area. Pillars as thick as dozens of people stood around, with luxurious and extravagant sofas scattered about.

"It’s a KTV, a bar kind of place," Sterling answered her.

Upon hearing it was a KTV and bar, Selena was instantly eager to move. She used to occasionally go out to party with Vivian Sutton and Clement Luther, sometimes bringing Hugh Kensington along.

However, the places they went to weren’t on the same level as Aethelgard’s Peak. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Selena wanted to experience it.

However, this time, Sterling wasn’t going to let her have her way. "Don’t go, there’s nothing worth seeing."

Sterling knew that Aethelgard’s Peak catered to the nobility, but there was no guarantee that there weren’t a few unsavory characters among them. How could Sterling possibly allow Selena to enter?

Even if someone looked at Selena with greedy, lecherous eyes, the violence simmering within Sterling would be hard to quell.

The violence inside him did calm significantly with Selena’s presence, but conversely, anything related to her could easily trigger those violent tendencies.

Selena pinched the man’s waist somewhat dissatisfied and lightly snorted, "Then I’ll go to the restroom to touch up my makeup."

Sterling gave her a glance and sighed helplessly, "...Don’t take too long."

Selena nodded somewhat perfunctorily, then picked up her bag and asked a server to lead her to the restroom.

Going to touch up her makeup was genuine, but how could Selena possibly just go for that? She wasn’t one to stay put quietly. How could that happen?

When the server brought her to the restroom, she took the chance to ask about the path to the bar.

Fortunately, there were multiple paths to the bar. Considering the vastness of the building, how could there be only one route?

Selena avoided the route where Sterling might see her and snuck inside.

What Selena didn’t know was that after the server left, instead of attending to other guests, he headed in Sterling’s direction.

"Young master Norwood, the lady indeed went inside," the server reported respectfully.

Sterling nodded slightly, and the server then withdrew.

He knew his little wife wouldn’t be so obedient. The interest and challenge in her eyes couldn’t escape his notice. So, after Selena left, he called Herman Norwood.

As expected... she sneaked in.

Sterling didn’t want to spoil Selena’s fun. If he went in to find her now, it would definitely ruin her mood.

Sterling could only discreetly instruct the hotel staff to keep an eye on her.

Meanwhile, after sneaking in, Selena saw a dimly lit space with colorful lights flashing.

But unlike other bars, this one wasn’t as noisy as those outside. In the spacious room, many booths were occupied. There weren’t any men and women crazily dancing in the pit.

Only the DJ played wild and uninhibited songs.

It was elegant, upscale yet had a touch of wildness and indulgence.
