Reborn: Earth Online-Chapter 90 - 91: Inner region
Kaden ventured deeper into the Emberforge Abyss, each step taking him further into the raw, chaotic heart of the volcano. The mana here wasn’t just abundant; it pulsed fiercely, crackling with untamed energy that stirred his blood. But his fire resistance was still working so he continued moving forward.
Within minutes, he spotted another beast—a cluster of molten crabs scuttling aggressively across sizzling rocks. These crabs were bigger than their normal counterparts. Their armored shells glowed red and orange, casting angry shadows across the volcanic terrain.
Without hesitating, Kaden leaped forward, mana swirling around him. He slammed his fist downward, shattering a crab’s hardened shell in a single punch, the heat splashing harmlessly across his skin.
Another charged him from the side, snapping its fiery claws furiously. Kaden sidestepped smoothly, effortlessly grabbing one claw and wrenching it aside before smashing the creature into the obsidian ground. Notifications rang out one after another, a symphony to his ears as experience piled up.

And yet no level up notification. Kaden let out a sigh and continued the grind. Leveling up for him was a little difficult now but he couldn’t complain considering the other benefits his bloodline brought him.
He continued running around the fiery terrain. He came across a few more crabs and salamanders and by the time he was done with the outer region, he ended up grabbing a level.
"Not bad." Kaden clicked his tongue as he eyed the inner region of the volcanic terrain. He was so much more closer to the main volcanic mountain now which shot up like a spire in the distance, a spire spitting out hot molten lava continuously.
In his past life there was a theory that this mountain alone was going to bring the doom of this continent, the unstoppable lava eventually consuming the land around it, transforming fertile plains into an ashen wasteland.
Kaden remembered the debates vividly—mages arguing endlessly about when, not if, the Emberforge Abyss would erupt violently enough to trigger widespread catastrophe. Yet, here he was, willingly stepping closer to the very heart of that potential apocalypse. The irony wasn’t lost on him, and it sparked a grim smile across his face.
As he reached the threshold separating the outer region from the inner volcanic ring, the ground beneath his feet shook violently. Mana surged wildly, and the air itself seemed to distort from the extreme heat radiating from the towering volcanic spire ahead.
Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed outward. A crack appeared on the nearby mountain and it looked like a part of the mountain itself was moving but Kaden was already familiar with this type of monster. A lava-earth mixed golem.
The creature slowly detached itself from the mountainside, its limbs cracking away from layers of molten stone. Streams of glowing lava cascaded down its rugged body, sizzling as they splashed onto the obsidian floor.
The air around it rippled violently, distorting from the immense heat and volatile mana emanating from the golem. Its two eyes, like burning pits of magma, locked onto Kaden with a fierce intensity.
Kaden gulped. Yes, he was familiar with this type of monster but in his last life he had only seen others battle it while he stood at a distance.
The golem lunged forward, moving with shocking agility despite its hulking form, its fist slamming into the ground where Kaden had stood just moments ago. Shards of obsidian exploded upward, molten fragments scattering through the air like burning shrapnel.
Kaden dodged fluidly launching himself behind the monster and punching it in the area where two rocks were connected together. This should be its weakest part.
His fist slammed into the joint with tremendous force, sending cracks spiderwebbing across the golem’s rocky hide. Yet, to his surprise, the creature barely flinched. Instead, it spun around quickly, a fiery arm sweeping toward him in retaliation.
Kaden jumped backward, narrowly evading the blow, but the searing heat washed over him, causing his skin to sting despite his fire resistance. Now that he noticed he was finally starting to feel the heat of the surroundings.
It was not enough to make him lose health but some sort of fatigue was slowly accumulating.

"Damn, tougher than it looks," Kaden muttered, breathing heavily as he reassessed his approach. He’d underestimated how dense and mana-infused the creature’s body was. The lava also seemed capable of instantly healing all the damage and glueing together the parts.
Plus he was pretty sure the damn thing was also getting an environmental boost. This was going to need a lot more than a single punch to take care of.
Kaden dodged around the golem and started raining the stoneman with punches from all sides. In a matter of seconds, the entire thing was cracked on all sides. Its huge rocks became small stone particles held together by lava.
"Almost there." He continued punching the damn thing and ten punches later, it finally collapsed. The entire golem exploded right on his face sending out lava and small molten rocks everywhere but Kaden was fast enough to back the hell away.

Kaden exhaled heavily, adrenaline still thrumming in his veins as he surveyed the molten wreckage scattered around him. The shattered remains of the golem steamed and hissed, slowly cooling into solidified obsidian chunks. He brushed a trail of soot from his face.
His knuckles were glowing slightly, radiating residual heat from the punches, and a couple of blisters showed signs of popping out. "I guess I am starting here then." Kaden sat down on a relatively lava free area and started meditating.
As he closed his eyes, he immediately felt the fierce mana of the Emberforge Abyss swirling around him, tugging aggressively at his senses. It was a struggle at first—the volcanic mana was wild, volatile, resistant to being harnessed—but as his breathing steadied, he gradually synchronized with its chaotic rhythm.
