Chapter 31: Chapter 30: The Demon Child vs The Blades of Death

The evening remained quiet, heavy with anticipation. Only the gentle hush of the leaves broke the stillness around the three figures standing at the heart of Kaidën’s domain.

Lyia, Crimson Fang, stood tensed, short black daggers drawn, their blades etched in crimson runes that pulsed with latent magic. Her eyes roamed the boy before her—no older than ten, ripped shirt, mussed hair, a thin stream of blood emerging from his lip from the earlier clash. Yet he stood tall, his aura unshaken. Too calm.

By his side, Alex cracked his neck, sweeping his twin longswords swords lazily in a wide arc. "That’s enough," he growled. "This little monster, we take him down now."

Lyia scoffed. "No mercy"

Before Kaidën could blink, both Alex and Lyia launched forward.

Steel and shadow blended. Lyia’s daggers shimmered with arcane runes, launching flaming curved slashes into the air. Alex dove low, spinning, both blades striking at Kaidën’s legs. A deadly, synchronized attack—perfect timing, perfect placement.

Kaidën remained still, He shifted.

With a blur of raw speed, he evaded Alex’s sweep, back-flipped mid-air, and spun to avoid Lyia’s arc of flames that cut through the tree behind him as if it had been paper.

The tree split open.

Kaidën landed on all fours like a beast, backing away across the ground, eyes glinting under the black cloth tied over them. Kaidën sneered. "That’s all you got?"

Lyia disappeared in an instant, returning to him with the two knives plunging downwards.

CLANG

Kaidën caught both wrists in mid-swing. The ground beneath him broke apart. His fingers trembled a little. The impact of the blows was enormous. No restraint, no hesitation, she was out for blood.

But neither did he, headbutting her, skull to skull.

CRACK

Blood gouted from Lyia’s forehead as she fell back. Alex saw the opening and capitalized and sliced down from overhead with the twin swords like an executioner. Kaidën didn’t dodge this time. He caught one blade mid-air—his bare hand gripping the steel.

Boom!

A shockwave blew the air around them into chaos. Grass flattened out, trees swayed violently. Alex’s eyes widened in disbelief as Kaidën swung the blade back in, striking his elbow into Alex’s abdomen so hard that his feet lifted from the earth. Blood sprayed from Alex’s mouth. But before Kaidën could press the advantage, Lyia screamed an incantation.

"Crimson Tempest!"

The ground erupted into flames. From the earth beneath Kaidën’s feet, a pillar of swords of flames rose up.

KA-THOOM!

He was thrown backward, body flying through the air, charred, smoldering. His shirt had burned off, leaving pale scars and the glinting runes etched into his skin—old, ancient, markings.

"Now!" Lyia shouted. Immediately Alex roared, dashing ahead one more time. The two blades of death began their dance.

Kaidën fought with his bare hands, but each block severed the air in two. His arms moved like whips, wrapping steel and fire alike with the same freedom. Each kick he landed cracked the earth. Every blow he parried sent gusts radiating outward.

Still, Lyia was fast. Too fast. She moved like a shadow with flame-tipped daggers that bent space and reality around them. She weaved about Kaidën, striking, scorching, warping the very air with sword magic. Alex, on the other hand, was a wall of pure technique—unyielding, ruthless, and precise. Every blow aimed at killing.

And Kaidën? He bled from a shallow wound on his cheek, a cut down his left arm and burns across his chest. He said smiling, "You’re good," he snarled, blood dripping from his lips. "But not good enough."

Alex growled. "You’re pretty cocky for a kid who’s bleeding out and his about to die."

Kaidën tilted his head. "You think... I’m trying? You actually think that am the one in a difficult position" kaidën beginning laughing, sending chills down the spine of the two. He raised his arms and clenched his fists. Suddenly the air condensed. The air became dark as if night itself followed his command.

Then—

BOOM

A pulse of pure force erupted from Kaidën’s body, knocking the two fighters several metres back. Lyia slammed into a tree, spitting out blood. Alex rolled, flapping about the way a ragdoll would.

And Kaidën stood there. His body radiating a colorless glow—not seen, but felt like a storm dropping into their lungs. His hair floated upwards, his veins glowing softly so that they were visible beneath his skin. The ground about him went dark, cracked, and steamed.

Lyia’s eyes widened. "That. that is not Martial Master grade."

"No," Alex whispered. "That’s—"

"Martial Grandmaster."

Despair flashed in both their eyes, "how. how can a child be so strong?" Lyia growled, gritting her teeth.

Kaidën vanished.

CRACK!

Alex’s blade snapped. One of his longswords broke clean in half as Kaidën elbowed it mid-swing, followed by a whirling backhand to the face that slammed him into a boulder.

CRUNCH.

Blood covered the ground.

Lyia screamed and hurled one final spell: "Blood Lotus Dance!", immediately dozens of flaming lotus petals danced around her, the petals cutting through the air with the precision of knives. Kaidën advanced step by step as the petals fell.

Whoosh whoosh, slash slash. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Every petal hit—cutting skin, opening wounds.

But Kaidën didn’t slack. His aura enveloped the flame. His blood boiled—but his eyes didn’t flinch. When he had reached her, Lyia tried to teleport away. He seized the back of her neck saying, "Wanna dance?"..

SLAM!,

He threw her so violently that the ground ended up becoming cratered. She gasped, and blood spilled from her mouth. "Your magic is loud," Kaidën said. "But it’s shallow and weak." Lyia tried lifting her dagger with the little strength remaining she could muster, but kaidën stood on it, snapping it in half

Alex staggered from the rubble, eyes bloodshot, face mangled.

"LYIA!"

He charged—last ditch effort. One single blade, one warrior’s battle cry. Kaidën didn’t even look. He turned and kicked Alex in the ribs.

CRACK

Alex screamed, spitting blood. His face was slapped by a hand.

SPALT

The earth burst, and Alex fell unconscious, going limp.

Silence

Kaidën stood amidst the ruins, shirtless, bloodied, breathing softly. But his aura never faded.

Lyia lay groaning on the floor, unable to stand.

"Both of you," Kaidën said, voice low, calm, terrifying "Strong. But power in front of greater power is meaningless" as he turned, stepping away from their broken bodies.

Behind him, the wind whispered.

As strong and powerful presence was immediately felt by kaidën.

It wasn’t something he has ever, it was something out of this world. Something that signifies power.

A short and calming feminine voice was heard by kaidën "so this where you have been, I’ve finally found you" immediately a strong light ray coming from the heavens, sticking everything and everyone close to it.

It fell directly on the head of kaidën as if he was the man target which he was.

The ray destroy everything in a 3 mile radius.

Spearing not even the plants and animals alike.

"Let see if you can successfully survive this and if your god would be of any help" the feminine voice spoke again, before disappearing together with the light ray, and kaidën no weak to be seen

A boy, still in his high school uniform, found himself in a room filled with different people, ranging from mages to priests. He seemed to have appeared on a magic circle drawn by the priest, a summoning circle.

"Where am I again? This seems like the place where main characters are usually summoned, right?" Different thoughts clouded his mind again.

"Welcome, hero, welcome to the Iron-fist Empire," said a gorgeous lady wearing a white robe. Her beauty was little compared to the goddess, but she was the second most beautiful person he had ever seen.

The emperor immediately arrived, with different people paying their respects. He was a well-built man who seemed to have a lot of experience on the battlefield. At least, he wasn’t just a emperor by name. He was a tall, green-eyed man with brown hair and an imposing atmosphere. It was as if he was too impatient to see the newly summoned hero.

"Welcome, hero, to my empire. You have been chosen by the Goddess of Creation".

A new hero has surfaced, armed with skills like

- Advanced Fire Magic – an active magic that made his magic casting time three times shorter and the damage two times higher for every fire magic.

- High Self-Recovery – which was able to help him regrow limbs, even if they were cut off, as long as he didn’t die immediately. He could keep recovering.

- Master of the Sword Art – which was a skill that made him master all sword skills 10 times faster and four times stronger than the original.

- Acceleration – which was able to increase his speed at an incredible rate.

- Infinite Mana – which made his mana capacity infinite. This was the most powerful skill to ever exist, as the only problem for a sword master or a mage was mana capacity.

And is destined to have a clash with the demon god, the demon that destroys all.
