Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 111: A plan
Once at the hospital, Lilithia quickly grabbed the phone from a passing nurse and called her brother Patrick.
"Hello?" Patrick picked up the call from the unknown number since he was not so busy.
"Brother, it’s me. Lilithia. You have to help me," Lilithia said quickly.
Patrick paused in his steps, the urgency in his sister’s voice making him rush out of his room and put on his coat.
"Lilithia? What’s going on? Whose number is this? Weren’t you returning today? Where are you? I’ll get to you quickly," Patrick panicked when he heard Lilithia suddenly start to cry.
In this household, if there was one person who understood and loved him without expecting anything in return from him, then it was his sister.
His parents always coaxed and pampered him because they wanted him to become the King.
He also knew it was the same reason they didn’t like Lilithia much: according to his father, his sister was useless.
"Brother, I am at the family hospital near the junction," Lilithia sniffed before telling him everything that happened.
She also told him about an unfamiliar girl who saved her life and traded hers for it.
"We need to save that girl, brother. I will never be able to live with myself if anything happens to her," Lilithia cried through the phone.
Patrick asked the driver to drive towards the hospital before taking a deep breath.
"Don’t worry, Lilithia. We will find the girl and save her. Nothing will happen to her. Just describe the area to me, and I’ll send it to my team immediately. We will repay her for her kindness and boldness. Don’t worry," Patrick coaxed his sister.
Lililthia shook her head.
She had seen firsthand what those rogues were capable of. They planned that accident, too. The thing that had hit their moving car was a rogue in its wolf form.
They risked so much for it. They had evil intentions from the beginning.
If they already knew who she was, they wanted money from her father in exchange, and if they didn’t know who she was, then they would’ve taken her to the brothel.
They left her because that girl was beautiful, and that leader suddenly grew interested in her.
What if something happened to her? How would she forgive herself?
The thought of that beautiful girl being sent to that hell in return for saving her life made Lilithia tremble in hatred and disgust at her helplessness.
"Call brother Cyrus, please," Lilithia said.
Patrick, who was about to coax her a little more, suddenly froze.
Did his sister also believe in Cyrus more than she believed him?
"I am coming there, Lilithia. I assure you that nothing will happen to that girl. Can you not trust your brother? What extra thing will Cyrus do that?" Patrick started, but Lilithia shook her head.
Her brother misunderstood, but she didn’t have time for that.
"Brother Cyrus is the named monster. The rogues don’t cross him easily after he disfigured those rogues of the East borders last time, just for fun. That’s why I am asking you to call him. Please, brother. I know you both are rivals for the position, but this is not about the throne. It’s about the girl who saved me," Lilithia pleaded.
Patrick ended the call, clenching his fists around the phone in anger.
He gritted his teeth before taking a deep breath to calm himself down. His sister was right.
It wasn’t about trust or belief. He told himself before calling Cyrus, who was busy signing the next deal with the Alpha Morgan, who wanted his support against the rogues in exchange for the Pack’s unformidable trust in his reign.
"Now that the deal is signed, when can we expect a meeting from you, King Cyrus?" Alpha Morgan asked, and Cyrus was about to answer when he saw an incoming call from Patrick.
He furrowed his brows.
They didn’t necessarily hate each other. His animosity was also with his father because he knew Dominic was the real mastermind behind everything.
However, due to his differences with Patrick’s father, the two brothers rarely contacted each other.
Thus, it was definitely surprising for Patrick to call him like this.
"I’ll call you tomorrow to schedule the meeting, Alpha Morgan. Something urgent came up," Cyrus said, and Alpha Morgan said a few words before they ended the call.
Cyrus looked at Fabian, silently asking if something had happened at the Palace or if his grandfather had reached out to him.
When Fabian shook his head, Cyrus leaned back in his seat and picked up Patrick’s call.
"What is it?" Cyrus asked.
Just like that. No greetings, no humble words shared. Straight to the point.
"I know you must be busy, but it’s about Lilithia. She was attacked by the rogues earlier, and—" Patrick told Cyrus everything.
Cyrus raised his brows.
Were there still such brave souls in this lifetime who would risk their lives for others? That to be a women?
As he thought about it, the image of Amelia jumping before his grandfather and saying she would protect him with her life appeared, and he smiled.
"Why does she want me there?" Cyrus asked.
Patrick took a deep breath.
"I know this is between us, and you probably hate me, but can you not take this out on Lilithia. She already comes at a shorter end before our father and —" Patrick started, thinking Cyrus would reject the proposal.
Cyrus just massaged his forehead.
He didn’t have time for his cousin’s stupidity.
"What I am asking is, why does she want me there? Send me the coordinates and I’ll try to look for that girl first instead," Cyrus said.
Patrick understood and quickly nodded.
He sent the description that Lilithia told him.
Once the call ended, Patrick thinned his lips, his fingers hovering over his father’s name on the log.
He contemplated calling his father. Judging from the past, he hardly believed that his father would help them.
Instead, he would only make a fuss about how she was wasting his time.
And his mother? She will only worry uselessly rather than being of any help.
He sighed, stuffing the phone in his pocket.
At the same time, Kyle, who kidnapped Amelia, stopped the bike at the edge of a mountain, making her step down and look at the beautiful scenery before her.
"You’ll have to pretend," Kyle said.
Amelia looked at him, unable to understand the meaning behind his words.
"I’ll help you out in a way the blame won’t come to your husband, but for me to get that money, you’ll have to pretend that you got hurt in a rogue attack."
Kyle looked at Amelia.
Amelia’s gaze flickered.
Kyle explained the plan to her. Since she was already kidnapped, Cyrus would come to look for her sooner or later, and when he found her, he would see her in wretched condition.
Dominic would transfer the money to him after he saw it.
The ministers would definitely accuse Cyrus of security, but then he would send her the video recording of Dominic asking his subordinate to plan this attack.
This way, the tables would turn back to Dominic.
They will get the money, and Cyrus will have something to use against Dominic. This would all affect how well she could enact. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Amelia understood the plan before holding his hand.
Kyle arched his eyebrows at her sudden display of affection.
"Don’t look at me like that. I am not letting you go so easily either. Is there a place you wanted to visit that you haven’t?" Kyle asked.
Amelia knew Cyrus would worry about her, but it was also important for him to win the trials.
She nodded.
"Take me to the Highlight Gamblers," Amelia said.
Her request left Kyle baffled.
Did she really ask to go to the strongest gambling place in the nation, where people from all species come to gamble?
