Phoebe slowly shrunk back to her normal size crumbled to the floor, sitting down and taking deep breaths. Everyone else was frozen in shock by what they had witnessed.

No living guardian in the current time had ever seen a grand guardian or experienced their might. Even Rufus, the most knowledgeable about grand guardians was really caught off guard.

It seemed the information about them that was covered in the books they read was less than five percent of what they knew. It had not been written that they could turn into glowing giants than were brighter than the sun. He would have to write that part down and add it to a book.

"Are you okay?" David was the first to approach Phoebe, fussing over her.

Phoebe nodded.

The others got back to their senses as well, and Phoebe found herself on the receiving end of questions about her health status and that of the baby. She did not sit around idly; she stood up to help in tending to the injured and cleaning up all the shattered glass.

Suddenly, a wail broke out, confusing everyone as nobody on their side had died.

"No! No! Master?" Margaret run on her knees to the last place where Bradley had vanished from. "Please come back! You said that you would bring my son back to me." She wept in desolation, her soul cleaved by the uncertainty of never seeing her so again. "You bitch! you did this to him." She pointed to Phoebe, viciously eyeing her as she made the accusation.

With the grace of a noble queen jutting out her chin, Maureen stepped close to the weeping woman as if she was about to comfort her only to deliver a stinging blow to her face. "Come back to your senses you selfish woman! Your son died and he is never coming back. But that did not stop you from bringing that man here_putting everyone's life in danger just because that sorcerer promised to bring back your son!" Maureen's gaze dropped to the ring in Margaret's hand.

"Are you a fool? Do you think that dead people are the same when they come back to life? You should know that if you gave that ring to Dickson, then I am happy to tell you that Bradley ate his soul. Since Dickson came from a witch's bloodline, Bradley must have had quite a meal." She pinched Margaret's chin, raising her head and meeting her eyes. "And do you know what that means? No reincarnation for him, ever." Maureen backhanded Margaret across the cheek. Without pausing she slapped her again and again.

"I am calling Agatha and telling her to send the enforcers. This bitch brought Othello here, she is working with demons too and she must be tried and killed." Orson said.

Maureen stabbed her moon fang blade into Margaret's hand. "Not if I kill her first."

Margaret screamed in pain like a thunderclap splitting the heavens, a cry that clawed at the air and refused to fade.

"Shut her up, it is not as if she is giving birth." Jennie said coldly.

Rather than shutting her up, Maureen stabbed Margaret in the thigh and the screaming continued, raw and unrelenting. Not a single person tried to help Margaret or felt sorry for her. She had brought the wolves into their house; she did not deserve mercy. Meanwhile Phoebe's attention was focused on attending to Rufus who was the most injured among them.

She had fed him three tonics, one to heal his external wounds, one to heal the outside ones and one to return his strength and slowly return his magic. Forgetting that he had an act to put up, he stood up and wiggled his feet, showcasing how strong they were.

"Grandpa! You can walk now?" Valarie gasped, her index finger pointing at Rufus' legs.

Nile stared, unblinking. "Do we have Bradley....sorry Othello to thank for this miracle?"

"You have Phoebe to thank for my full recovery, my legs regained function a while ago but i had reasons as to why I wanted everyone to believe that they had not." Rufus told them, pushing the wheelchair aside.

He ordered everyone to lend him their ears. "From this day forth, Margaret will no longer bare the Saxon name, nor will she enjoy the benefits that come along with it. When she is tried by the council the name Saxon should not be used. We are not involved in the shit she started." Rufus announced.

A few clapped, some nodded while others like Maureen loudly cheered. Such a punishment was long overdue besides, she no longer had any ties to the family yet all she did was cause trouble.

"It seems she has long been the inside man for the enemy. I think her son Dickson was in on this secret as well and for that reason the name Saxon will be removed from him as well even though he has passed on. The tombstone will be taken down..."

"No, no, no...you promised." Margaret moaned in pain and anger.

"You also promised to do no harm to this family when you married in." Rufus reminded her. "Since you broke your word, you have lost all goodwill with us."

The guards took action immediately by dragging her out to be handed the enforcers, her screams and pleas to be forgiven fell on deaf ears. A trail of blood was all that was left behind.

"The second branch is now empty. Per family rules, the third branch will move up and others will follow." Rufus announced.

Nile started to dance. On a bad day, there had been a promotion and all the benefits that came along with it.

Grandma Saxon raised a hand and cleared her throat; the room fell into silence. "There is someone else that has disgraced that name and that is Katherine."

All eyes turned to Katherine as grandma continued, "You are to leave this tower and the Saxon group, from this day forth you will fend for yourself. I advise you to refrain from using the Saxon name to make any small moves or else we shall strip it from you as well." She decreed, her voice was inflexible, tolerating no objection.

"I second that." Rufus said.

Falling to her knees, Katherine pleaded with her grandmother to give her one more chance, but her begging was in vain.

"Mother! Father!" She turned her attention to her parents. "You cannot allow nana to do that to me, please I was wrong I admit, and I promise that I will change!" She cried out, her tears streaked her make up like acid.

Miranda responded by smacking Katherine on the head. "How dare you plot to harm my grandchild and her mother? Your blood brother's wife!" She swiped her tears with a furious jerk of the hand.

"But mother.... please...." Katherine began only to be interrupted.

"I am not your mother! I could never give birth to such a vile thing like you." Miranda asserted before walking away.

Fear gripped Katherine's entire being, she regretted all the things that she had done that had got her here. She was about to become homeless and nameless, none of the people surrounding her wanted anything to do with her. She turned to the one person that she believed would save her_ Phoebe.

"I know that I have been a horrible person, even when you helped me, I remained ungrateful, but I promise to change if you plead with grandma just this once." She pleaded, shameless enough to try to negotiate her way out.
