Jin took her hand in his. "What nightmare did you have? And why didn’t you tell me this before? I told you this that I don’t like you dealing with problems all on your own."

Warmth seeped into her cold, shivering hand and her uncomfortable heartbeats lessened.

"...It was nothing much."

"If it wasn’t much, then you wouldn’t have been struggling for over an hour," he frowned.

"It was nothing really...I just felt that I didn’t want to look at them. I don’t know why. Actually, I should be looking at them a lot. We had been waiting for them all this time, but I just thought...I don’t know how to explain. It’s my first time experiencing these feelings. Actually, you know what? She pointed at the two people before her. Jin stared at the two people before him. And laughed.

"Are you making fun of me?"

He leaned over the crib and gently took their daughter in his arms. The sleeping bun ever so slightly shifted, her little eyes darting left and right in her sleep before she went right back in her dreamland.

"See? Isn’t she so adorable?"

Alix bent over, staring at their daughter’s little face. "She is so small."

"Yeah," he smiled.

"She is very small."

"True."

"She is very, very small."

"I-I don’t think she is that small..." he coughed. "Come on, you hold her now."

"...But I didn’t want to look at her before," her gaze dimmed.

Jin dropped a peck on her forehead. "Look, your body has just gone through a damn painful process. Your hormones and mood are all over the place. The effects of medicines have also not completely dialed down yet, so I guess all that confusion made you have a bad dream and bad feelings. It doesn’t mean that you don’t love your babies. You are going to be the most awesome mother in the world!"

"But there are two...I feel I will mess up..."

"Aren’t they so cute? They are too small, but I know they are definitely blessed with your beautiful features."

"What are you talking about? Zi Rui looks like he would emit the same pheromones as you," her brows furrowed. "I see his potential of becoming a big bear part 2 like you."

He coughed.

"And is it me or do I see a similar grumpy look on Zi Yue’s face as yours?"

"I don’t...look grumpy."

"Don’t worry, it’s a compliment. I believe your attitudes are going to be in perfect sync. I think the two are more like you than me."

"Nonsense," he snorted. "I will happily wager a bet that they will grow up to be just like their mother - Beautiful, sharp and with a little hint of sexy evil sprinkled."

Her eyes narrowed. "So I am evil huh?"

Jin coughed and quickly pecked her lips. "Sexy is the adjective dear."

Alix snorted, then looked down at her baby still, staying completely still. Occasionally, her finger tickled her cheek and Zi Yue would stir inside her blanket. That little movement would tickle her heart in turn, washing a strange warmth in her chest. Now it felt like she could stare at her two pies and spend the whole day catching their little brow movements and watching the drool sliding out from their mouths.

"I am here!!!"

The door opened once again, this time with a zest as Chyou made her dramatic entry.

"Hellooooooo fellow parents!"

Within her arms lay her son, who was, like Zi Rui and Zi Yue, asleep without a care in the world. His little dreams were far beyond his mother’s antics.

"Aren’t they such cutie pieeeeeees?" Chyou hopped over to their side with little Ziyi joining Ailun’s gang.

Chyou bent over, glimmering at the two clouds of fluff.

"Why did you come down?" Jin was dumbfounded. "Do you even remember you are still a patient?"

She pouted. "But I wanted to meet you as soon as possible! We had the same delivery, so I wanted to celebrate."

Alix took a peek at her sleeping son, an eager light shining her gaze "How is your son?"

"Yifan is awesome~ He is sleeping soundly in his lala land as you can see!"

"Chyou!"

Yating peeked in and stepped in, narrowing his eyes. "There you are."

"Well of course, I told you," she blinked.

"And I told you to stay put."

"Did you?" Her eyes darted far away from his probing gaze.

By then the Ren family too sneakily made their way inside the room, only to get scolded by Liu Hai.

"Hey! No cutting the queue! We have been waiting for a long time!"

"So have we," Ren Luoyang frowned.

"Well, I am the eldest here so my patience holds more importance," he harrumphed.

Jin’s brow twitched. "Grandpa, can you not be shameless at least in front of our in-laws?"

"Who would I be shameless with if not them?" He complained.

"Aishhh, I cannot believe they are finally here," Ren Cuifen wiped her tears while Mui was busy capturing selfies with the twins.

Nana clapped her hands with delight. "This calls for a big celebration. Yating, Chyou, we should all celebrate together, what do you say?"

"Of course, Mrs. Liu," he smiled. "It will be fun. Let’s have a biiiiiig party~"
