Chapter 47: Chapter 45: Our Past...

"Ever since we were born... we were always useless..." Himiko said, her voice trembling with emotion.

"But for us... we were special to each other..." Hinari added softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"We share the same face... the same feelings... We cry together... we laugh together... We weren't just siblings... We were everything for each other..." Himiko continued, her voice heavy with sadness.

"We know how the other feels... because we're connected—not just by blood, but by our souls, our bodies, and our hearts..." Hinari said, her tone mirroring her sister's.

"Our mom was a maid in the royal palace of the Darkon Kingdom..." Himiko began, her voice shaking. "One day... the prince of that kingdom came to her... drunk... and... he raped her. She got pregnant... and gave birth to us. She loved very much and we loved her too but four years later, the prince found out... and he killed our mom... then threw us out, leaving us to die..."

Hinari picked up the story, her voice equally fragile. "But somehow, we were taken in by an orphanage... where we were treated like slaves. I think it was because we were girls... that's why they treated us differently. They called us scum, useless... garbage... And we couldn't speak back... because we had nowhere else to go."

"There's one funny thing..." Hinari added, a faint smile breaking through her sadness. "My sister loves eggs and fruit... so whenever the orphanage gave us food, I used to give her my share too. That's why her body grew faster than mine..."

"Then, one day, we discovered we had a high talent for magic..." Himiko said, her voice gaining a hint of determination. "That day, we decided we would become stronger... and kill the man who killed our mother."

"But things didn't go as we planned..." Hinari continued. "By the time we joined the royal army of the Darkon Kingdom, he was already the king... We could have killed him, but he had a friend... Geazol. He was terrifyingly strong... We knew we couldn't defeat him. And if we tried to kill the king... Geazol would have killed my sister."

"And I didn't want my sister to die..." Himiko whispered, her voice breaking.

"So, we were forced to stay in the royal army..." Hinari said, her tone resigned.

"And before we knew it... we became killing machines for the kingdom..." Himiko added, her voice hollow.

"But on that one night..." they said together, their voices merging into one.

*Flashback...*

We were inside the castle, lying in our bed, holding each other tightly.

"Hey... sister," Hinari said softly.

"Yes, what is it, my sister?" Himiko replied.

"Have you heard the rumors about the Heaven Goddess?" Hinari asked.

"Oh... yes, I have. I heard she's very beautiful... with green eyes that glow in the dark and hair as white as snow," Himiko said, her voice filled with awe.

"People say she helps anyone in pain or helplessness..." Hinari added.

Himiko smiled faintly. "Really...? If that's true, then... if we beg her for help... do you think she'll help us?"

Hinari smiled back, but her eyes were sad. "Would she even hear us? We've killed people... destroyed families... Our hands are already stained with blood. We're known as the Sisters of Reaper..."

They fell silent, their faces shadowed with guilt. Then Himiko whispered, "I think the only happiness we can have is being with each other..."

Hinari nodded, her smile bittersweet. But...

*That same night...*

We heard a massive explosion in the castle. We rushed to the window and saw her... floating in the air, her white dress billowing in the wind, her hair glowing like moonlight. She was attacking the Darkon Kingdom.

"At that moment, we thought the world had heard our wish... and sent her to save us..." Himiko said, her voice trembling.

"We watched her kill Geazol—the man we feared most—and her supporters destroyed the hell we were living in... and the king..." Hinari added.

"We were a little sad we didn't get to kill him ourselves... but... we were happy too... because we were free... free from the hell we were trapped in..." Himiko said, her voice tinged with relief.

"They brought us to a place they called Paradise... The people there were so kind... They gave us a home, good clothes, and delicious fruits to eat..." Hinari said, her voice softening.

"We decided we would do anything to repay them... So, we started helping people, killing monsters, saving lives... all so she would notice us... and accept us..." Himiko said, her voice filled with longing.

"But she didn't say we were useless... She said..." Himiko paused, her voice breaking.

*("It's okay... You two are strong... You two are special...")*

"We don't know why... but when she praised us... we felt happy..." they said together, their voices trembling with emotion.

"And right now..." Himiko began.

"Currently, we are..." Hinari continued.

"In her arms, hugging her and crying like children..." they finished together, clinging to me tightly.

**[You weren't trying to win, were you?]** Aries' voice echoed in my mind.

*(Yes... neither were they... They were just trying to prove that they're not useless...)* I replied.

**[You know... it's wrong to look at someone else's memories without telling them,]** Aries chided.

I smiled and kept hugged them....
