Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 755: Shatter The Skies
The last time Chez was awake, he was being tortured by a group of large golden lions, forcing him to spill secrets he had once sworn to never tell anyone.
Now, he was waking up again, blinking his eyes and hoping that the last memory he had of when he was awake was nothing but a bad dream.
But the sensation of his broken bones and the absence of his tail was like a cold bucket of water splashed on his face.
Some of his bones had been broken, especially his ribs. And the cause of all this had intentionally left foreign energy within him, preventing him from healing naturally.
Chez wasn’t an immortal, that had to be noted.
Kael could play with him however he liked.
Chez pushed his paws against the foreign ground, raising his head and opening his eyes to a scene that filled him with crushing despair.
He found himself, standing in his true cat form behind a chair. He couldn’t see the person sitting on this chair and that wasn’t his concern at the moment.
What made his already battered limbs weak were the other figures who were sitting on the five other chairs.
Chez could see four of them very clearly, the fifth was being blocked by the chair in front of him as it was on the other side of the large table.
The stench of blood and freshly cut raw flesh hit his nose, forcing his eyes to dilate as his predatory instincts were activated.
’Jordan...’’ Chez whispered to himself, stunned beyond words as he saw the sickly demonic man sitting on the left.
And on the right was Azeus, whose body crackled with orange lightning as he observed the black cat.
But despite the majesty of all the figures in the room, Chez’s gaze lingered more on Jordan before he hurriedly brought his head down.
It was expected. Of all the Supreme Immortal Lion Kings of the Lion Hegemony, Jordan De’Ville was the most feared.
He was the enabler, the grandfather of bullies, some even believed he invented troublemaking as he was very good at it.
The most unpredictable of the bunch.
Seeing him sitting there so calmly with those infamous red eyes that should be filled with madness at all times, Chez was deeply shocked.
Anyone would be shocked, it wasn’t often that people got to see Jordan being so...nonchalant.
He wasn’t doing anything, he wasn’t laughing, he wasn’t trampling over the bodies of his enemies.
Why was he behaving himself today?
Of course, Chez did not ignore the rest. Even the Methuselah of the lion race was here, what was happening?
Any of them could turn him to dust with just a thought. It was. A miracle that he was still alive after some seconds of being awake.
On a normal day, Jordan would have killed the offspring of the Luthor Patriarch if he saw them.
No exceptions.
Not even Seth would be spared if he crossed Jordan’s path.
In fact, even the Luthor Patriarch had been a victim of Jordan’s spontaneous attacks on a few occasions, which is why there was hatred between them.
Jordan’s paws were for everyone, millions of years’ worth of evidence could back that up.
"As you can see," Chez then heard the dreaded voice of the All-King coming from the chair in front of him.
Chez instinctively took a step back, his intuition told him that he had to do everything to distance himself from the creatures.
However, he had barely taken his hind feet off the ground when a powerful invisible force descended to lock him in place.
Chez couldn’t move a single step back, and not a single inch forward.
"I caught this cat, Chez," The All-King said from the comfort of his chair while observing the environment with his keen golden eyes.
He watched for every shift or change in their facial expressions. It didn’t matter if they were faking it or not, he observed.
"Oh, is that the reason why all those cats were coming at you at the same time?" Jordan asked with one of his eyebrows raised.
Kael nodded, "Yes, it would appear they had found out the general location of Chez at that time.
However, the main reason they had chosen to engage me in battle was simply that I was the All-King, not because of Chez."
"Oh," Jordan nodded, then returned his head again so that he could look at Chez.
"But how does this matter?" Phestus asked. He wriggled his fingers in front of him, splashing blood and pieces of flesh away, "How does this relate to you having a plan to break us out?"
"I am getting to that," Kael said as he put down the fourth eagle wing that he had been chewing on in a row. The two eagles in front of him on the table were now completely wingless and in a lot of pain.
"You see," Kael began, "You all must believe that the only place that I could have possibly found Chez was in Original Heaven, after I came here.
What you and most creatures would have never known is that I caught Chez outside Original Heaven, not in it."
It was now that the faces of the Kings became extra serious.
"That’s not possible," Gabriel said, "Only immortals are allowed to leave. Chez is merely tier 7 equivalent..."
"Then how would you explain this?" Kael said as he snapped his finger and a screen appeared in the center of the table.
It was a manifestation of the Law of Illusion but was supplemented by Kael’s spirit powers.
It was a replay of some of his memories, the ones that involved Chez.
Behind Kael’s chair, Chez was dumbfounded to see that his image was being displayed like the main character of a live video.
From the moment Kael locked eyes with him when he was in that arkship to when he was being beaten up, everything was played for the king’s very fast.
"I met Chez in the mortalverse, on his way back to the Original Heaven. It is safe to say that he had come out a few times if he could be so casual about it."
Every word that Kael spoke was like a nail in Chez’s heart. He was sinking into despair. He didn’t want to be at the center of all this at all.
"How?" Gabriel asked, his bright yellow eyes narrowed, showing that he was no longer in a jolly mood.
"His brother," Kael admitted as he suddenly stood up. The illusion at the table was wiped away and Kael was the only one talking.
"His brother is the Primordial Cat of Freedom. According to Chez, Seth has been able to break some of the universe’s rules with his special powers.
It didn’t matter how something was set, Freedom dictated that Seth should not be bound by any rules.
And so, Seth learned how to leave Original Heaven without causing any alarm. All he needed to do was use his powers to tear a hole in the fabric of Original Heaven’s sky."
"Seth?" Azeus asked, "But we were all made aware the day Seth decided to go to the mortalverse. It’s not like he was sneaky about it."
That’s right, the last time an Immortal left Original Heaven, it had been Seth. The cats had sacrificed a lot of effort to convince many factions to let him pass through and they had been especially wary of the lions back then.
At that time, no one really knew what was happening. The lions were only suspicious as all the members of the Ancient Feline Council had suddenly begun to act strangely.
"Perhaps that was all a ruse, a simple distraction to put you all.off what they were actually planning," Kael said, "But I am sure we’ll discuss that particular situation later, for now..."
He gestured with his hand to the back, pointing at Chez.
"Chez is evidence that there are ways to bend the rules and leave this place. They might have kept it away from us but it doesn’t matter now.
We have a way. But this is just one way."
"One way?" Azeus questioned.
Kael nodded, "Yes, as I speak more plans are being made on methods that could help shatter the skies of Original Heaven.
I want you all out of here as much as I do,"
"Sooo?" Jordan leaned toward Kael. He smiled ferociously, like a child waiting for his parents to tell the next part of a bedtime story.
He was eager.
"I am currently trying to replicate what Seth has been able to do," Kael stated.
"Oh, you have other clones out there?" Jordan asked, instantly guessing Kael’s plan.
"And one of those clones is working on piercing the sky right? If I’m not wrong, the location should be above the Endless Plains."
Kael’s face remained calm. He had wanted to keep as many cards hidden but it turned out some of these kings were just too smart, annoyingly so.
"Yes, I am currently working on it, since I have the Law of Freedom, I can actually succeed.
Except I’m not planning on doing it how Seth did it,"
"Oh, please tell," Phestus and the others craned their necks.
"Not only will I be breaking you all out of Original Heaven," Kael smirked, "I want you all out of here, all at once.
Every single one of you, descending to the mortalverse at the same exact time."
Whispers.
"Is that all?" Suddenly, Alexander asked with an ugly look of dissatisfaction
