Chapter 795: Chapter 795: Born Together, Die Together

Silas had descended to the mortalverse, Planet Kareem in particular.

When he had done so, he had selected a simple city in the nation of Vermilles.

Vermilles was an average nation in the human world that was not something to be taken lightly by anyone at tier 4 equivalent.

The only thing that would have truly caused great distress between the humans of Planet Kareem and the superpowered creatures of the universe would be the nuclear weapons.

Technically, a standard nuclear weapon was enough to hurt if not kill a tier 6 equivalent creature, given that the said creature just stood still and did nothing.

When Silas went to Planet Kareem, he had simply gone there to train his technique, there was no need to tell anyone and no need to fear anything.

Besides, he doubted whether Katari or his mother kept tabs on his whereabouts.

The nation of Vermilles was average as said, about fifty million people for their population and it was a diversified capitalist, socialist, semi-democracy

I’m short, it wasn’t the best nation, but it was stable for the time being. Stability was something Silas needed to practice his technique.

After descending, he picked a simple house for rent and began to practice.

When he started, Silas sat in his apartment with his landlord as his first subject.

The landlord was completely oblivious to the fact that he was harboring the prince of a cosmic intergalactic hegemony civilization.

His mind was easily infiltrated without his knowledge, and suddenly, everything about him was known to Silas.

Silas lived a second life through the eyes of the landlord, but he did not stop there, soon, his mind was spreading its power.

Eventually, on the same day that he got the apartment, he had infiltrated the minds of all the tenants in his apartment block.

On the morning of the next day, Silas’s will could be found buried in the souls of all the people living on his streets. These things happened without their knowledge. They were unaware that Silas was now able to see everything they could see.

Not just seeing what they were seeing. Silas was feeling everything that they felt. Every argument, every heartbreak, every surge of excitement, every sensation of sadness.

It was fed into Silas’s mind and Silas absorbed everything from the comfort of his living room.

To be able to live the lives of so many people at the same time was incredible as it required parallel thinking, multitasking, and a terrifying ability to process large amounts of information at the same time.

Spirit lions were just as intelligent as Magus lions and their brains processed data almost similarly, so Silas being able to do these things should not have been a surprise for him or anyone.

The only difference between him and a Magus Lion of the same level was that he allowed his emotions to guide him while a Magus wouldn’t do such a thing.

After the first week, Silas’s Spirit Integration technique had spread out to infiltrate the minds of almost everyone in the city.

His power was like a virus, a plague that was jumping from one human to another without any of them knowing.

And with this wide range, Silas’s transformation began. Right there in his living room, he began to evolve to tier 6.

He had to.

Not after all that he was experiencing.

To understand why Silas was hit with a heavy dose of depression, one would have to look at everything he was seeing.

But even if a human was given a hundred years, they probably wouldn’t be able to comprehend the information Silas was gathering.

He was discovering that everything and everyone was connected, at the same time, no one was connected to anything.

To him, most humans didn’t know just how closely related they were to their next-door neighbour. It was astonishing.

Because he could see everything from a different perspective, he could calculate and measure, and check without losing himself in the data.

Almost everyone knew someone who knew someone who knew a friend of someone, and so on. At some point, it came circling back.

The fans and celebrities that they cherished so much, most people didn’t know they were two layers of phone calls away from scheduling an actual meeting with one.

Wealth, love, hate, status, ambition, destiny, eventuality, morality, failure, family, happiness, pleasure, sex, birth, death.

Silas was seeing everything.

He was...a god.

When the humans were born, he was born with them, when they grew, he grew up with them, when they worked, he worked with them.

When they started families, he was doing it with them, when they fell sick, he fell sick too.

And when they died? When they fell into that cold abyss of no return, Silas was there to follow them.

It didn’t matter if he hadn’t started out with them, infiltrating their minds meant that he had access to their memories.

So his spirit could integrate with someone and he would access all the memories as if he had been with them from the very start.

It was magnificent, it was beautiful.

Many factors made the experience so incredible. The presence of advanced technology for travel, like aeroplanes, made it so that Silas’s Spirit would eventually stretch out.

He had a limit, but distance was not the limit for him.

He got to travel and experience all kinds of things all over the world with them.

How would Silas explain to Ozia what he felt? How could he tell his big brother the ecstasy he felt from living the lives of fifty million people at the same time for two years straight?

How could he tell anyone?

What was the purpose of such a technique? What was the reason to do such a thing, not inviting madness, or worse, a lack of direction?

Comprehension.

Comprehension of the secrets of the world through the minds of others was the only reason that Silas would attempt this.

Silas did not seek to get stronger like the lions so that he could conquer and dominate, even though that was still part of him.

But it wasn’t his primary drive.

What he wanted was a complete understanding.

Not the kind that N’bayé or the Maguses searched for.

But a true understanding of why the universe ticked, why it turned, and why it appeared the way it was.

Silas had knocked on a door by attempting this...forbidden power, with the level of desire he had.

His soul was like a lost child crying to its parents, asking for meaning.

And the parent heard the cry, and it answered.

Unfortunately, the answer Silas got was not the one he was hoping for.
