Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 796: Two Consort Candidates
After two years of performing this spirit integration on fifty million people, it was safe to say that Silas was changed.
He was still Silas, but his outlook on things had changed and it even affected the body language he expressed in front of Ozia.
Now Ozia could understand that distinct look he was seeing in Silas’s eyes.
It wasn’t exactly a depressed look, nor was it one of disdain. A certain type of tiredness that comes from having seen too much of everything.
To Silas, the lives of the mortals were a script that they would follow. He knew for a fact that the lives of these mortal humans were not special.
Kill them, break them, hit them, do whatever you want with them. The only ones who truly cared about what anyone did to the humans were other humans.
This did not mean that Silas had lost all empathy for humans; no, he had not. In fact, they felt the greatest empathy and sorrow for them.
He sympathised with them, he pitied them.
Because he knew that in everything that was happening every day, there was nothing special about them at all.
They were not even worth considering to be a drop in an ocean, they were smaller than that. Far smaller than that.
He pitied them because many of them genuinely thought that they held a place in the universe. They thought that they were born into this world for a reason and it made him sad because he could not make them see the truth.
Many of them thought that as they fought for politics, wrote their opinions, built their societies, or started their movements, they were actually doing something meaningful.
They weren’t, at least, not on any meaningful scale worth considering for the rest of the cosmos.
He could only watch as they continued to live in their ignorance. There was no meaning to the life of the humans, their existence was an accident caused by the monkey civilization.
The universe abandoned them to their own fates, knowing that a Great Filter would never allow them to exceed a certain limit.
Normally, even spirit lions would not feel these deep emotions concerning humans but Silas had experienced a deeper level of connection with not just the humans, but everything else.
This wasn’t about humans.
It was about what he felt from them. It was about what he felt when connected with their locked souls.
When that entity reached out to him, Silas had not given his answer because he was not stupid.
He knew that his father was still searching for Primordials who had power over the laws. He also knew that there were detection mechanisms placed in the lion system to detect the presence of unauthorized entrance of other Law Essences.
What he didn’t know about was the existence of Avatars.
Still, even when depressed, his loyalty was to his father and his family.
He had decided to tell Ozia first to know what he should do.
Ozia and Silas walked side by side silently on the vast land.
On the Apex continent, some parts of the land had begun to develop small meadows and short grass, creating a beautiful and natural scene.
"Are you still connected to that being?" Ozia asked.
Silas shook his head, "I don’t know. It merely explained to me the mysteries of the soul, telling me how it worked and how it didn’t.
It knew I was interested, and asked me to join it in whatever it was talking about.
I understood the main gist, not the intent."
Ozia nodded, "Good then, Father already knows. Even if he doesn’t, you will tell him eventually."
Silas nodded, "Yes, but..." He hesitated.
Ozia looked at his brother and narrowed his eyes, "You wished to take that entity’s offer, didn’t you?"
Silas smiled, "Who wouldn’t? He was offering meaning, understanding, and purpose, when I had none altogether."
Ozia shook his head, "I’ll reserve my opinions, but I think you should wait for father’s input.
For all we know, this could be one of his enemies trying to get to him through you.
Or, it could just be something harmless."
Silas pressed his lips together, "I’m not interested in starting my own family, Ozia," He dropped.
Ozia did not frown or flinch, "We know. We’ve gone long enough and every other brother of ours has started picking out consorts for themselves.
Except you.
What interests you lies beyond the desires of the flesh and the intoxications of the mind.
I hope you find what you’re looking for, brother."
Ozia then placed his hand on Silas’s shoulder. As long as his brothers were doing fine, it was okay with him and anything goes.
Silas suddenly chuckled, "Okay, go. I know that you have that fine Hyena lady waiting for you in your private chambers."
Ozia opened his eyes wide, "Meeeeeee?" He sounded shocked.
Silas laughed, "I saw the way you were looking at her when the party was over, Ozia, we know you."
Ozia smiled in defeat, "Old habits die hard I guess," He admitted.
"Yeah, I’m sure that’s what she was waiting for actually. If not, why would she come to meet you by herself?" Silas shrugged his shoulders.
Ozia shook his head, "Doesn’t matter, I’ll enjoy myself and if she’s good, I’ll keep her around."
Silas nodded, choosing not to say anything that would lead to the topic of Isabella.

Five years later.
At the observation lake.
It was early in the morning in this everyday section of the Original Heaven.
A sound of gentle and heavy footsteps could be heard as three figures walked silently to the observation lake.
Two women and one man.
The one man walked in the middle and was ahead of the two women. His form was muscular but hidden by the loose white robes he wore.
This man was naturally Kael.
Kael held in his hands the folded straw mat with a gentleness that was hard to see in him.
His steps were calculated and measured, careful not to walk too fast or too slow.
It was as if Kael was digesting and savouring the last moments of his mortality. His senses were sharp and his body moved with purpose.
Walking a few meters behind him were an unlikely duo, Daniella and Anastasia.
One was a lioness belonging to the Uriel Clan, the other was the granddaughter of the King of the De’Ville Clan.
Once in a while, Daniella would glance at Anastasia with an uneasy look. She was observing this demonic woman and watching out for her.
Daniella had to do this as Anastasia was an unpredictable kind. She had forced herself into Kael’s life without his permission and she was too powerless to chase her away.
Anastasia didn’t even carry Daniella’s efforts in her eyes. All she cared about was the dangerous games she wanted to play with the All-King.
Sure, Kael had asked her to hang around him, but she always came unannounced which was quite annoying.
But at least, she was sensible enough to know when Kael was serious about some things and just kept her antics to herself.
Kael would gladly entertain these two beauties if not for the fact that there were far more important things to handle. Things so important that it helps didn’t handle it with care, he would never have a chance to continue enjoying such pleasures.
Today, Kael wore a solemn expression on his face.
Today was the day that he would be attempting his evolution to become an immortal.
Today was also the day that many cogs in his machine would start clicking in place.
Today was the day that the cosmos must hear the name of the All-King.
Who would stop him?
Who could stop him?
Kael hoped someone would try, it would save him the stress...
Soon, Kael had reached the shore of the observation lake. It was quiet.
Today, nobody came to the observation lake to check anything. They were ordered not to.
Standing at the shore, Kael was barefoot. He looked at the observation lake with a calm expression.
"After this, if I survive, you and I will have some serious talk..." He said.
Kael did not receive any answer.
He was fine with that.
He turned to the two women standing beside him.
"Stand guard for my evolution," He said calmly as he began to unfold the simple straw mat he had in his hands.
Anastasia looked at him, her red eyes burning with desire, "All-King, if you survive this, we can play some more dangerous games. I’m rooting for you!"
She seemed genuinely excited but Daniella and Kael knew not to believe her facial expressions.
"Kael," Daniella suddenly spoke to Kael using telepathy, "Once you become an immortal, can I still be your consort?
Is the position still open?" She asked with a mix of seriousness and mockery.
Kael glanced at her, "We shall see."
Both of them were prime candidates for consort positions and Kael was considering them.
They both had their flaws and uniqueness. Whereas he had to endure a slow burn on Daniella’s side, he didn’t even spend any effort to rope Anastasia to his cause.
Two completely different types of people.
Kael placed the simple mat on the ground, "I’ll begin now."
All of a sudden, Kael’s body surged with power and all his aura was released at the same time.
