Chapter 31: Gigolo

"What are we doing here?" Carl asked while observing the black market, where hundreds of stalls lined the road they were walking along.

Hector ignored Carl’s question and went to ask a few sellers about the main tavern of the black market.

Carl glanced around with a curious look. At some point, he approached a display stand run by a man wearing a cloak that hid his face.

The man revealed his yellow teeth and spoke. His voice carried a gloomy tone mixed with pure mana, sending a chill through Carl’s ears.

"My beloved guest, what kind of stuff are you looking for?" The faceless man said, then he pointed at a ginseng on the display stand.

"This is ginseng. A rare herb I collected from a distant mountain in the north of the world. If you eat it, you can prolong the fun with your girlfriend for a whole week without getting drained."

Carl’s mouth fell open in shock.

"A week? Are you kidding me?"

He cleared his throat and asked,

"How much?"

The faceless man smirked slyly.

"You’re my first guest today, so I’ll give you a 50% discount. You only need to pay 100 silver coins. Deal?" 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"I’ll take two."

Then he quickly headed over to Hector, who was waiting near a nearby tavern.

Hector rubbed his chin while gazing at the two ginsengs in Carl’s hands. A knowing smile appeared on his lips.

"I think you’re going to eat those pretty soon."

"What do you mean, scum?" Carl frowned in annoyance and quickly stuffed the ginsengs into his pocket.

Hector shrugged.

"Don’t mind it."

In the blink of an eye, the noise of countless men quickly stirred their ears when they entered the tavern.

"Follow me... and don’t say anything... unless you want to die."

Hector added quietly.

"This place isn’t a playground for kids."

Soon, Hector walked up to the tavern counter and called out to the owner.

"Hey, we need to talk."

The tavern owner frowned and nodded, then asked in an unfriendly tone,

"What do you want here, kids?"

"I want to meet your boss."

The tavern owner smirked. He lingered for a moment before answering,

"I’m the boss here."

Hector clicked his tongue. His voice carried no fear.

"I want to meet the boss of the black market... Elise Gill."

For an instant, the noise in the tavern froze when that name was spoken. The men inside, for some reason, quickly left as if they had heard something terrifying.

Carl gulped. He completely didn’t understand what was happening.

The tavern owner pressed his forehead for a while... Then his eyes gleamed sharply.

"You’re really ruining my mood. To think that prey would willingly walk up to predators—how strange. Do you want to die that badly?"

Hector shrugged.

"Something like that... I know what your boss wants."

The tavern owner frowned deeply upon hearing that. Then he sighed and shook his head.

"Honestly, I don’t know what the hell you’re thinking."

"Follow me."

Hector nodded and stepped deep into the tavern.

"Damn it! What the fuck are you doing? Why don’t you explain anything? If you don’t explain, I’ll return to the academy!" Carl groaned in anger.

But the next moment, the tavern owner locked Carl with a glance, sending a clear warning intent. If he stepped out of this place, he would die.

Hector just sighed.

"Don’t talk too much. They noticed us the moment we stepped into the tavern. There’s no way for you to turn back at this point. Just follow my commands, if you don’t want to die."

Carl gritted his teeth.

"At least tell me what you’re going to do next?"

Hector smirked.

"You’ll see sooner or later."

After around ten minutes, they finally stood in front of a door.

The tavern owner glanced at Hector and Carl with a pitiful look before saying,

"Get in."

Hector gulped nervously. Honestly, if he said he felt no fear in this situation, it would be a complete lie.

The boss of the black market was a threat to all teenage men in the world. One wrong step, and Hector might pay with his life.

He didn’t want to do this at all, but this was the best option he had right now.

Creak!

Soon enough, a terrifying, degenerate, and filthy scene appeared before the pitiful boys’ eyes.

A large bed, and a pile of corpses nearby.

On the bed lay a naked, fat woman, with a boy sitting on top of her. Even though the candlelight was dim, Hector and Carl knew exactly what the hell was going on in this room.

The boy groaned in pain before rolling off the bed, revealing a drained, pale body under the candlelight.

"I WANT MORE YOUNG BOYS!"

In fear, Carl nearly stepped back and said, shivering,

"Goddamn... don’t tell me this is how we’re supposed to earn money?"

Hector’s face twitched as he gazed at the fat woman. She slowly stepped down from the large bed, each step sending a tremor through the floor.

A perverted smile slowly spread across her fat, round face as she looked at Hector and Carl.

Then she lifted her hand, spreading a strange mana throughout the room, causing deep discomfort to the two young boys.

Hector gulped. Even his skin visibly paled as he sensed the pressure from the sudden change in atmosphere.

He muttered inwardly.

"Just follow the plan."

Before the mana from her purple mana core covered both of them, Hector spoke up.

"I want a deal with you, Madam Elise."

His voice carried no fear—no trembling. For this plan to work, he had to appear confident before that fat woman.

If he succeeded, he would gain a huge amount of money, and even secure a beneficial contract with the woman rumored to be the richest figure in the underworld.

But for him, this mission was pure hell. She was a vicious, perverted woman, one who preyed on young boys to satisfy herself...and her curse.

Elise grinned.

"I have no interest in talking with toys." Then she glanced at Carl and curved her lip on purpose.

"You’re the most handsome one, so I’ll start with you."

In an instant, Carl lost control of his body and was slowly lifted into midair by the fat woman’s power.

"N-NOOOOO!"

Carl writhed in the air, his soulless face twisted in desperation and terror.

Meanwhile, Hector forced himself to smile in such a situation. He had intended for Carl to suffer a bit under that fat pig.

But he needed Carl alive. Therefore, Hector sighed and then said with an indifferent tone.

"So, you want your son to die, fat pig"
