Reincarnated as a Vampire Who Acquires Skills Through Blood-Chapter 42 - Four Idiots
"I called you a bunch of hairless fucks that probably stick close together so you can hold each other’s dicks to stay warm since you don’t have any hair to protect you from the cold."
I doubled down with the insult and provocation.
"..."
The three bald dudes went completely silent, their skin turning a deep, dark red from pure anger. I felt like if this were a cartoon— their heads probably would’ve been smoking from the heat by now.
"Huh, now you all look like a bunch of angry red moons— perfectly round, completely bald, and about to burst open."
I said that, continuing to poke more fun at their appearance. And in that exact moment— FWOOSH!
The leader swung his fist at me again with everything he had. I dodged the strike with ease.
I had Onyx and Bong occupying both of my hands so I can’t puch back, and so— BAM!
"Gargh...?!"
I countered him with a quick front kick instead, hitting the leader square in the stomach with my heavy steel boots. His whole posture immediately crumbled as he doubled over and clenched the spot where I had hit him, with thick saliva dripping from the corner of his lips.
It was disgusting and funny to look at.
"YOU ABSOLUTE BASTARD...!"
"YOU ARE REALLY GOING TO REGRET DOING THIS!"
His two henchmen then rushed at me at the same time, their fists raised high and ready to punch me down.
TUNK!
"KEUK...?!"
One of them tried to punch me directly in the face, but I just calmly turned my body to the side and blocked his fist with my steel pauldron. The man almost cried out when he realized he had just punched solid steel with all his might, and I’m pretty sure I heard the sound of his fingers cracking.
The other henchman targeted my side, but I just let him land the hit and looked him dead in the eyes while he did it. Secretly— I grew a patch of [Black Scales] directly under my clothes at the point of impact.
CRACK!
"GAAAHH!"
His fist shattered the moment his attack landed on me, while I remained completely unharmed by the strike. In a matter of seconds, all three of them were lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
I felt the eyes of the people around us watching, since we were clearly causing a big scene in the middle of the street.
I just ignored it for now, then after a short while—
"What exactly is happening over here?"
A guard finally arrived on the scene, asking that question in a loud voice.
He looked at me and then saw the three men groaning on the ground; I was just about to explain the whole situation to him— SWISH!
"Do not move a single muscle!"
But he immediately raised his spear, pointing the sharp tip directly at me. I glanced down at the three men on the ground, and I noticed they were actually smiling through their pain...
’The guard is clearly colluding with these thugs.’
I quickly realized the truth of the situation.
"Don’t you know that fighting inside the city walls is strictly forbidden— we’re going to have to kick you out of the city for this!"
The guard said... and this whole messy situation just made me feel even more annoyed than before. I looked at him and saw his mouth opening as he was about to say something else. But before he could even do so—
WHOOSH~
I activated my [Dominion Aura] and covered the whole area around us with a heavy, suffocating pressure.
"...!"
The guard immediately shut his mouth tight, and he froze right where he stood. The three thugs on the ground started sweating profusely as well.
Tap- Tap- Tap-
I started walking slowly toward the guard without saying a single word, my boots making a loud clicking sound with every step I took. The sound of it filled the now silent area.
I walked right into the range of the guard’s spear— but I just ignored the weapon and went past the tip of it.
TAP-
Then I stopped directly in front of him. The guard was a bit smaller than me, so he had no choice but to look up at me... I could clearly see the beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
I looked him straight in the eyes with a deep frown on my face, and opening my mouth—
"I am going to explain exactly what happened here, so you better keep your mouth shut and listen before I decide to shut it for you."
I declared that with a cold voice.
I didn’t bother waiting for any kind of response from him, and without even looking back at the three thugs—
"Those three men ambushed me and tried to rob me of my gold coins, I simply defended myself... Now, I am certainly not an idiot to not notice right away that the four of you are working together."
"I better hear that those three are officially banished from the city by the end of the day, because as you just said— attacking someone is a punishable offense."
"Because if that doesn’t happen... I’ll make sure that Elianna, the Saintess, hears every detail of this."
I stated that clearly, and every word I spoke made the heavy pressure in the air feel even more intense.
"...!"
The guard’s eyes widened in sheer terror.
"T-The Saintess...?"
He stuttered the words out, tilting his head in confusion. I just shrugged my shoulders dismissively, and with a small, knowing smile on my face—
"She is probably in the church right now alongside Kael, Stanford, Kelton, Harper, and Gibson."
I casually said that.
I purposely mentioned the knights and the Saintess using their first names so it would appear that I am personally close to them... which isn’t really a lie, because I’m fairly sure they wouldn’t mind it.
Anyway, I deactivated my skill after that and the pressing aura around me instantly disappeared. I just gave one final glance at the three bald idiots behind me who were still grovelling on the ground. Then, looking back at the guard—
"Well then, I will excuse myself now. You can handle the rest of this mess yourselves."
I said that and walked right past him.
The people watching from the sidelines were all smiling as they saw and heard exactly what had just happened. I guess the three idiots weren’t well like around here.
