Reincarnated as the Elder's son: My Infinite Shop Points System-Chapter 10: Respect for all.
Chapter 10 - Respect for all.
Thanks to Jared's guidance, Lucy was able to use her powers more efficiently.
She slayed more beasts in the forest, almost as if she were playing the role of a beast exterminator while learning new abilities she never knew she had.
They even went as far as to go hunting. The one thing Lucy didn't know how to do and had to depend on Kiara for was now something she mastered perfectly in a single morning.
Gathering over ten animals that she had hunted with Jared, Lucy carried them on her back as she made her way back to the village.
The look on the villagers' faces when they saw this was completely priceless. It was even more shocking for them when they heard Lucy was now a Five-star.
In fact, they were happier than anything. Lucy attaining the reawakening was unexpected but still profitable for them.
Especially with the fact that all this happened when Jared returned, they had even more respect for him.
Having enough food to last them for a month, the people of the village began to rejoice, partying to their hearts' content once the sun was down and the moon showed itself.
Things could only get better from here—that's what they believed. It was what they wanted to believe.
While everyone was partying outside with Lucy being the main star, Jared was inside his small hut.
On the floor, he placed a paper and held a quill, mapping out his plan to place a fence around the village.
The best way he was going to stop magic beasts from wandering into the village was by making a fence strong enough to stop the advance of the monsters.
And it wasn't just that—if it could protect against a magic beast, it should also be able to protect against other intruders.
'This is surprisingly harder than I expected it to be.' Jared scratched his head a bit. 'I mean, I can't decide if I should use magical methods or plain old technology.'
How things seemed, Jared was confident that if he wanted to buy an elevator and had enough SP, he would be able to do so.
But the downside, as he had feared since the very beginning, was how the villagers would react if they knew he could just straight up buy whatever he wanted.
Using the goddess as a disguise was safer and would immediately stop any selfish wishes or envy they could potentially feel.
Jared sighed.
'Or should I just do a mix? That seems far safer and easier. Hmmm, an electric fence should work well. I can purchase the wood needed and wires from the system. How to generate electricity is the main issue here. I can't do anything too grand—it has to be simple.'
He clicked the air in front of him.
[Current SP: 4890 SP.
Shop: (Open.)
Inventory: (Open.)]
During his hunt with Lucy, he had somehow managed to get over 3000 SP. It turned out the system also gave him SP when he did random stuff, like helping his subordinate hunt.
The rest of the SP was gotten from the praises he received from the villagers.
Jared clicked on the shop and began to scroll through the different categories to get his supplies.
Though there were different options for each product, he still managed to find the ones he wanted.
[Ironwood Post (30 SP): This material can be used for building and is capable of generating electricity.]
[Steel Cables (20 SP): These are thin, durable wires for construction.]
For the most part, Jared wasn't too disappointed about the prices of the products—it was quite affordable.
'Now then, the main issue with any shopping is figuring out if what you get is going to be enough.'
With a slight grunt, the system interface disappeared, and Jared stood to his feet.
One hand in his pocket, he made his way outside his hut.
While the entire place was still lit up due to the countless fire sticks around the area, it was entirely empty and dirty.
Everyone who had been partying had all gone into their houses to sleep, including Lucy.
Though Jared didn't pay much attention to it, he loved that they were enjoying themselves. It was his whole reason for trying to make the village better.
He walked for a while until he got to the entrance of the village.
There was no gate to indicate it was, but the huge boulder at the side was all the sign people from the village needed.

Beyond the boulder was a long road with trees flanking both sides, leading down into the distance.
The moonlight shone on him. In his hand was the roll of paper where he had drawn the blueprint.
Just as Jared placed the paper on the floor, he looked up ahead, and there he saw him—sleeping in the bushes while hugging his spear.
[Name: William Hanson.
Job: Village Guard.
Loyalty: 55%.]
Jared had known William for a very long time. He was part of the people who truly cared for the village.
So much so that even after his wife died, he still chose to protect the village of his own volition.
He wasn't strong—a Three-star—but still, he had the heart and fighting spirit of someone who had awakened.
Jared had never really built any meaningful relationship with him over the years. It was no wonder his loyalty rating was so low.
Still... Jared truly respected him.
"Keep up the good work," Jared said out loud after purchasing a heating magic blanket for 34 SP from the system and using it to cover William's body.
Once he was done with that, he stationed himself at the very front of the village, where he could get a good view of the entire land.
It was large—far bigger than most villages.
'I should be able to do this. I owe it to my father and my former self. Yosh! Let's start counting.'
Jared began. He was going to set everything down for tomorrow's project.
