This is also why she had Haku. Haku was strong. The plan was to have her stall Class-8 and then earn the time for their big burst, catching their opponent in pincer. It was an easie-peasie matter---or was supposed to.

A sigh escaped Rina as she looked at the situation. It was apparent Class-3 was barely anything without their leader. In fact, she had sought Class-3's cooperation precisely because she had wanted Haku's strength by her side.

But with no giant pressing on them, Class-8 would become a nail jutting out on their plan. Class-3 should be giving their best, but even with desperate effort, it would only be a matter of time. And once they're wiped out, the full force would sweep toward themselves.

Fortunately, they still had one saving grace amidst the dark path—Rina' skill was finally out of cooldown.

They figured it would be best to support Class-1 in absence of Haku, as Rina's skill could prove to be a trouble, and rushed here.

Meanwhile, Rina, too, had been expecting them.

At the signal, Akemi acted swiftly and shot forth a flaming sphere toward, taking them by surprise. The flaming sphere was vast enough to fill up the vision of Class-'s members as it targeted Noel, Lacritta and Reglam.

Lacritta took a jump before anyone, and propped her two-handed shield to protect her comrades, opting for a defense skill that materialises a giant shield in front of allies.

But, Rina suddenly shot a beam attack just as Lacritta was invoking skill, and it struck her square on the shield, cancelling the process.

She had targeted the opening when everyone's attention was taken away by the giant flaming sphere, while also choosing an attack with faster speed than the flaming sphere. And the end result of Lacritta's skill cancelled at the critical moment.
