Reincarnated in the game world ~ A gamer's beginning to [Dungeon job hunting recommendation]-Chapter 627Vol. 11 - - An aspirant for Eden? Let’s go to the dungeon!
We were in a spot! The former user of «White Throne» had come out in hope to join «Eden». And if that wasn't enough, she also wished for the «White Throne». Even with her silence, the 'let me use it' aura she emanates was palpable.
We were in a rock and hard place. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Before that, I would like to confirm one thing, Tabase-senpai. Why did you choose «Eden»?"
Facing interviewer Sierra's interrogation, Tabase-senpai coolly answers.
"Because «Eden» has the «White Throne», and this is my biggest reason. There's only one thing I really want, and the only guild with prospects for it is «Eden» as of now."
A simple reason, but this spoke of her conviction. Even if this required her to leave her former guild, Tabase-senpai would never give up on «White Throne».
I felt a resonance with her inside me. She had chosen the one option that was almost sure to grant her the equipment of her desire, even if it meant treading it alone. I had already found her to be my liking.
I probably had bragged about our strength, and she should've calculated «Eden» was the place where she could find «White Throne».
Well, «Eden» itself was borrowing «White Throne», but we had plans to officially have it, and the negotiations for it were already in motion. And beside that, there's quite a good chance we might find a second «White Throne» from dropped items. Even then, with the hidden method to farm, «Eden» still was most likely to find it.
Though, Tabase-senpai probably meant the former point, negotiation, we also were covered in case it failed. So, in that case, Tabase-senpai was incredible to choose us. I had already felt like wanting her in our guild.
«Eden» would definitely appreciate another healer, which we're lacking. And Tabase-senpai's circumstances were just right. Hence I would like to proceed with the mindset of accepting her.
There was, however, only one problem—she was a 3rd year student. She barely had half of the academic grade left before turning in for the graduation. Goodbye Tabase-senpai~, eh? That was a glaring problem.
"Oh, speaking of, can I ask what's your job, Tabase-senpai?"
If it happens to be a good enough~ job, maybe we could have her go through «Job Transfer», and restart her school life. With that hope lurking beneath, I asked in expectation.
"«Messiah»."
"«Messiah»?!"
"Hey now, Zephyr. Your voice is too loud."
"A-aah, my bad."
Right. The lounge room had perfect soundproofing, but shouting was still rude. It was my faul—No, wait a minute. That wasn't what I meant. It was inevitable. Like, it was one heck of a serious job after all. It was completely opposite of what I was expecting.
On another note, It was idiotic of me to hope that. I should have known better than anyone that there's no way Tabase-senpai would have an ordinary job considering she had supported an A-rank guild as its sole healer.
Explanation time, I guess. —Messiah. It was a high-ranking job, and not just high-ranking, but peak of the peak. The best part about this job was that anyone with the «Aristrocrat» category could acquire it. In the «Noble» category where only «Baron» could acquire a primary healer job, «Messiah» was an absolutely pivotal recovery job. I had benefitted much from having them in the game too.
And taking in account that she was «White Throne» sole user, then her status point should be spent with guild battle in mind, not a determinant either. «Messiah» and «Seraphic Saintess» had different ways to override the square boundary rule. «Messiah» was the second best option for «White Throne» if one decided to not go forward with «Seraphic Saintess».
There's no way I had any qualm with that job. On the contrary, I now definitely wanted her in the guild! I guess I need to look at the 3rd year problem from a different angle.
Since the job was already an epitome among healers, «Job Transfer» made no sense. Still, the graduation...... If I thought of her as one of the 'temporary' characters, then it's clear she would be leaving the party at one point, unlike the character I had built from scratch.
"If you allow me the chance to join you, I wouldn't mind sharing the experience I had acquired to your guildmates."
"That's certainly an offer!"
Considering she used to be a member of the former A-rank guild, I certainly would like to learn from her perspective. It would definitely help «Eden» in the long run.
The only main problem was «Temple Saber». From the gist I had picked up, it didn't seem like they would officially terminate her membership so easily. I mean, the letter of challenge definitely was proof of their stubbornness.
But against the benefit Tabase-senpai would bring in, I was already tempted to work my way against them.
Sierra looked in a dilemma. It certainly wasn't an easy decision to accept a new member out of nowhere. But perhaps she had reached a decision, when our gazes met, she gave me the 'I will leave it to your judgement' look. I nodded in assurance.
"Alright, I heard your case, Tabase-senpai. I have an idea."
"?"
I had been thinking of beginning a recruitment for new members for «Eden», so ultimately, it wasn't a bad deal for us. I decided to move forward with my plan.
"So, as a trial run, you will be accompanying us in the dungeon campaign."
It was about time to pick our pace up, and that meant a busy schedule. Oh wait, I should also contact him. If we were accepting Tabase-sensei, then there were things to be investigated.
