Thursday.

The following day of the round-table meeting, after the classes were over, and just as I had promised Rina, we were at the «Water Plains Dungeon».

"I am counting on everyone, alright?"

"Yes. Likewise, take care of us too!"

Rina's response followed immediately.

It was always nice to pep everyone when stepping into the dungeon. It was the Gamer's Basic fact.

"Wow, there's a pool of water everywhere."

Rina made her remark, seemingly taken aback by the scenery.

"I would say it's more like some place has been flooded. This is beyond the level of puddles."

As if to point out how naive Rina's initial judgement was, Nico, appearing somewhat sleep deprived, corrected her. She appears like she barely had rest. Was she studying till late at night?

"I don't know what explanation you just came up with, but I am sure your guess is far from the truth, Brave-kun."

Nico said, reading my thoughts. Well, I know what she's talking about. She has been extremely popular among guild members, so it wasn't hard to guess.

"Ahaha, no need to go over trivial stuff. Anyway, we only have five days, including today, so I definitely need your help here, Nico. Please."

"...I don't particularly mind being relied on. It's just, I feel «Eden» is always in hard mode. I really would like it if you can chill out a bit."

"Well, I can't promise that."

"Of course, you can't~. It was worth a shot."

Alright, let's do something for Nico later as a thanks. She truly had been working hard recently. I could even see a faint glazed look in her eyes.

The remaining two members of our party were—the princess of our guild, Lana, and Ester. I had pulled in Ester since we'd require «Carriage» support. I was conflicted if I should pick up Lana or Sierra for the last spot, but Sierra apparently had quite a stuff on her plate, so the choice turned to Lana.

"It's a bit cold here. Do monsters perhaps come out of those pools of water?"

"Lana-sama, I will be preparing carriage. So, please be careful not to step into those pools."

Everyone appeared excited at the view of the new dungeon.

"As you can see, the dungeon's being submerged in many spots. The depth is around the ankle, but the water will gradually sap away your stamina if your legs touch the water. This is a natural trap."

There was no explanation to this, except how when a human's feet touch the water, the stamina would be carried to some other dimension. The traps were like stamina stealing monsters.

It was equivalent to being inflicted with stamina debuff, making it easier to lose your energy.

In the hindsight, this was actually the easier dungeon to clear among other Intermediate-mid Dungeons in the game. So it was quite a surprise even for me. Well, then again, difficulty in itself wasn't high, and the party just had to avoid getting into water.

Since the path was submerged in the water, it did practically force challengers to walk through water, but that's why I brought Ester. It also helped that the water level was only that much.

"Alright then, let's move on already. I would like to clear this dungeon within today's time frame."

"It's been so long since I have come to the dungeon with you, Zephyr-san! You can count on me this time!"

Rina said, brimming with enthusiasm. I was grateful that she was so excited about dungeon exploration, but unfortunately, we're running on a ticking clock, and that means we would have to skip the general aspect of exploration. I could only apologise in my mind. Hopefully, we could take it easy in Int-high dungeons later.

And cutting to the case, fortunately, Rina wasn't as dejected, and for most of the carriage ride, she hit off with Nico and Lana, chit-chatting or playing cards.

With Int-mid dungeon sporting 40 floors, the ride continued for quite long. But compared to rushing on foot, it was at least fast.

We also passed through my other students, who were detouring their way to avoid the water. Their jaws had almost touched the ground when they saw us blitzing our way.

At the boss room, we tried «Flute», but the first attempt was a failure. A bummer. We only found regular boss—a giant frog-type monster, who would summon its subordinate weapon-wielding frogs to assist in fight. Its name was «King Frog».

And as you could expect, the boss room was full of water. You just couldn't escape from it there. But since we'd come to have Nico earn more conqueror's mark, we only needed to clear it once. Just one boss fight wasn't enough to drain all stamina.

In the battle against King Frog, I played as the tank while Rina, Lana, and Nico were our long-range artillery as they gunned down King Frog. Oh, and they'd done it from the roof of the carriage, so they completely avoided getting into water!

Incidentally, Ester was somehow protected from submerging into water, perhaps due to «Azure Cogwheel» leg equipment. She left the carriage on one hand for our long-range squad, while she freely navigated over the water. She was like a skylark, as if she was skiing on the water. This might be one of those times I was truly envious of her!

So, among all, I was the only unfortunate soul who had jumped into the water. I played my role, and pulled in the subordinate frogs and slayed them one by one. I decided to use the «Refreshment» later, as it had the evaporation effect.

The boss didn't last long, and soon we had it finished, and took the teleportation circle to make our way back. The drop was «Wooden Chest». But it didn't wither my excitement. I was sure we were just accumulating luck. I bet we're going to find good stuff in the next Intermediate-high dungeon!

"Let's hit the Intermediate-high dungeon. I would like to make it to the 20th floor today."

"It's a bit disappointing. I had wanted to take a proper look at how the Intermediate-high dungeon looks like."

"Sorry, Rina. I will make sure we will have plenty of time next time. For now, we'll be rushing through it."

"It's all for Tabase-senpai, was her name?, huh. I must say, I am a bit envious."

"Yeah, Zephyr. I have done my part, so I need a proper reward, too. Speaking of, I heard there's a thing called the Academy Festival in November... so, if you're eager..."

As I was speaking to Rina, Lana hijacked the conversation.

'Alright, we will see it,' I put an ad-lib for now. After that, we charted our way through the Int-high dungeon, but on the way, I noticed a chat notification on «Smartphone».

It was from Yumiki-senpai. She had sent the details of «Temple Saber» members that would be appearing in our Duel. For now, I messaged thank you. I would read them later.

That day, we made it through the 20th floor of «Rank 7» dungeon—«Armored Beast of Iron Field», defeated its field boss, and returned via teleportation floor.

All the groundwork was completed. Now, we could challenge the dungeon's boss with our full force. My arms were already tingling in anticipation!

Ah, and speaking of tomorrow, we did have that tomorrow.
