Reincarnated Jester: Taming Players-Chapter 89: Cursefell
Chapter 89: Cursefell
With a devilish grin and maniacal voice, Jung whispered, undoubtedly planning something. "Good morning, my dear pussy cat!"
"What’s wrong?" Nero asked right away. Her tail shuddered after seeing Jung’s uncontrolled facial expression.
It was as unsightly as always, making her uncomfortable.
"What do you mean?" Jung asked innocently.
"You are definitely up to something," the cat said with narrowed eyes.
"You are overreacting. I am in a good mood, that’s all," he answered, feigning ignorance.
Nero’s eyes narrowed even further, and she pointed at her paws. "Say it before I poke your eyes out."
"Chill, dude. You are scaring me," Jung frowned and added, "I am stronger than I was before, and it’s time for you to rank up as well."
Emotions erupted on the cat’s face, and she purred cheerfully.
"Finally!" she said, grumbling. "I have been waiting for your sleepy ass for a week now."
"What? I slept for that long?" he exclaimed and stood up.
"Guess I have to hurry and create pills for your sorry ass."
"Please don’t take your time," Nero pleaded angrily.
Jung nodded, masking his true intent.
Then he reached for the pills and took them in batches.
As soon as he touched this energy with his own persona, he noticed how precise his control had become over the past few days.
’HugeP might have arrived in the city,’ he thought excitedly, and blinking his eyes, he channelled his full concentration.
He easily bypassed every impedance and linked pills together.
Now the true merging process began, and he had to fuse them.
With a new idea in his mind, Jung took over ten pills and mingled them.
"If my quality falls short, I can always depend on quantity."
He said, and instead of ten pills, used fifteen for the start.
After two minutes of constant struggles, every single one of them blended together, transforming into one singular form.
It was a rebel archetype, but the result didn’t differ from his previous records.
At least on the surface.

-Finally created a masterpiece that still has room for growth.
"A win is a win," Jung said, kissing his own ass.
"Give me that and keep going. Slave away for me," Nero said rudely, but her tone remained friendly.
Hearing her beefing with him, Jung scowled and didn’t wait for her to ingest it.
He swiftly returned to the business and practised like a slave.
However, enjoying the process with a clear goal, he didn’t get bored.
After six hours of playing around, Jung almost entirely wasted them.
Fortunately, the more he merged, the greater his success rate became, and with growing speed, he could create Goated pills in quick succession.
"Here you go, my queen," Jung said mockingly as he offered the last pill that would lift her curse.
"It’s been ages since someone had called me that," Nero said out of nowhere, reminiscing about her past and stunning Jung.
"Wait, wait... Are you royalty by any chance?" he asked with interest.
His cat was one mysterious creature, and she rarely talked about her past.
"I was..." Nero said with a smile that looked nothing like the elated expression she usually carried.
"Damn, I didn’t know my stupid cat was part of the nobility. Pardon my ignorance and rudeness, Your Majesty,"
Jung jested in his typical manner, lifting her spirits.
"It’s all past and gone now. And it’s not like I was a good leader... Being a wizard and all..."
Nostalgia spoke to her.
Clearly, she missed those times and her people.
However, she didn’t dwell more than necessary and took the offered pill.
Even if her situation didn’t look promising, she befriended the most bizarre, quirky, and alien human, and thanks to him, there was a light on her path.
The last pill she devoured was proof of their trust and pledge that was fulfilled sooner than she expected.
It was Jung’s greatest creation, designed just for her and carried his unwavering commitment.
"You are like a cow I am feeding to milk with everything she has to offer," Jung commented, not hiding his thoughts.
As Nero’s body basked in energy, and she heard his impudent remarks, she smiled at his childish antics.
After all this time, he still had a hard time articulating his genuine feelings. ƒrēenovelkiss.com
Knowing him better than most, the cat didn’t care and concentrated on herself.
The entire Cursefell ceremony went easier than expected.
No pain or discomfort assaulted her.
On the contrary, it was a soft and liberating sensation, and her existence became almost divine for a second.
Nero’s fur glowed in dark colours, and a familiar aura descended until it disappeared like it had never existed.
"We did it..."
The cat meowed, but before the happiness arrived, her eyes closed abruptly, and she fell to the ground.
Frightened, Jung caught her instantly and asked the system. "What’s wrong with her?"
Before Vex could collect her words, he decided to check himself and summoned her status window.

The system’s voice came at the right time, calming him down.
[She is tired and needs some rest. Let her be... There is nothing to worry about.]
Jung was conflicted.
It didn’t look like she struggled or anything, but her blanking out took him by surprise.
’At least that damn Cursefell disappeared,’ he thought.
Just as he was considering what to do, Vex said, ambushing him with another revelation.
[Snowshade and Lilia called you for another meeting, but you don’t remember that.]
"Not right now. We don’t have time for that," he said, and thought to himself, ’Her well-being is more crucial.’
He covered Nero with a warm blanket and walked around leisurely.
Concentrating on the pill merging proved to be tougher than he originally thought.
With nothing better to do, he waited for Nero to wake up.
Ten minutes was enough for her to regain her vitality, and she woke up from her short slumber with ample energy to spare.
As the cat meowed and hopped around, Jung’s unsightly face returned, announcing in a dramatic tone. "I think it’s time for me to kick your ass."
