Chapter 1383: The Hell Formation

"You bet," William turned his attention towards the front, where his monsters were. He knew if there were any traps placed around that enemy gathering spot, then it would start appearing from where they were.

There was at least half a day’s distance from that gathering point. It only made sense for the enemy to spread their net of traps, working as an early sign of warning system or something.

Yet the first test didn’t pass, and the monsters roamed the area under his spirit sense coverage without exposing or triggering anything!

William wasn’t worried over his monsters; he knew there were rare things in this world that could really harm them. They were made on the standards of the upper realm, and they wouldn’t be killed except by someone from that realm.

"It seems it’s safe here." After waiting for almost two hours, Becky mulled in boredom, "Why don’t we keep moving while releasing more monsters?"

"I don’t want to scare our cautious host," William was still believing the enemy was hiding at the place they were heading to, "let’s take it slowly, take our time to search and confirm any doubts."

"As suits you," she casually shrugged, "yet I fear we give the enemy more time to prepare."

"Soon you’ll know," William started to move again, while his five monsters sent earlier stood their ground like loyal hounds, "in front of my pets, all preparations are useless!"

"..." Becky could finally sense it; what really displeased William was the lack of challenge. "It seems I didn’t see anything at all from these monsters, yet." Her eyes shone brightly, and she was now more eager than ever to meet a large number of enemies at that basin and valleys! 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Her wish soon became true! After they travelled for four hours, William stopped and let loose his monsters. This time, things were destined to be different.

The monsters moved fast and started searching for any trap, while William and Becky stood on the head of a small stream, lying in wait and anticipation for both.

In less than ten minutes, a monster banged into the first trap!

*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*

The first thing that happened was the sudden eruption of series of explosions all over the place. Then swift trembles came, while the entire terrain began to abruptly change!

The area they were travelling within was a totally green piece of paradise. Thick river tracks, lavish green coverage everywhere, with lots of trees and animals that kept their distance from the two. As for monsters, there weren’t a single one spotted, as they were strong enough to feel how deadly the two humans posed to any of them.

Yet all of this changed the moment the trap was triggered. "It’s not a normal trap," Becky shouted on the top of her lungs, "it’s a terrain shifting formation! Or even worse!"

"It’s worse," William saw what Becky spotted using her spirit sense, and his thoughts drifted towards the same list of formations she thought of. What was remarkable and common between these formations was that they all came from the upper realm! And they were quite deadly, and required tons of special materials!

"I’m thinking of the Hell formation, it’s not it, right?" Becky muttered in slightly shaken tone. And she had all the right to feel so. After all, this formation was a nasty one, which was only performed by a scary group of old monsters in the upper realm!

A dark master force that terrorised even the strongest and mightiest families up there. Becky turned to look at William, and when she saw how serious he looked, she knew she guessed it right.

"Of course, I won’t ask how you know this type of formation to recognise it, but now what shall we do?"

"What else?" William seemed to not care about the end of the world happening around him, "we’ll keep moving forward!"

"What the..." Becky’s body froze in her place, while William didn’t stand idle, and started to dash forward.

The world was literally coming to an end around them! Ground was raised, with large pieces getting ripped off, flipped and tossed aside. The green coverage vanished, obliterated by the red spreading from fire eating up all the trees and plants, from the lava streaks that started to evaporate and eat away the rivers.

This was how scary the Hell Formation. Becky knew little about this formation, far fewer news about the groups of scary dark masters who could execute it. Yet there was one simple fact mentioned whenever this group of infamous masters would be ever mentioned in the upper realm!

"Once you spot them, doubt their presence, turn around, and run for your life," Becky muttered these words while watching William walking and jumping between the uneven and unbalanced land pieces, moving forward as if nothing ever happened here!

"Fck it!" After few minutes of hesitation, she finally settled on what she would do, "as if this is the first time watching him defy death! Let’s see how you’ll get us out from this predicament."

She decided to follow William. As for the latter, he kept walking slowly, not speeding up, waiting for her to make up her mind.

He recognised the infamous group of dark masters’ fingerprints over this formation. Yet he didn’t fear them. He knew if he met them in the upper realm, things would have been different, he would have acted differently.

They came down to his lower world, got bounded and limited by its rules. They might be scary, might have lots of forces and influence up there, but down here, they were just like any dak master force.

"I never expected them to lay down such formation for me," William was surprised by this point.

"What’s special about this formation?" Becky was struggling to keep herself safe. The problem wasn’t just in the shifting terrain, but in the toxins she felt spreading in the air!

What William realised from the first glance she finally started to grasp it. She always heard about how scary this formation was.
