No one could identify what those monsters were. Whoever tried to stop them ended up dead without exception. And soon enough, a scary rumour spread across the massive battlefield, speaking about the deadly monsters that would appear and vanish fast.

William didn't stand idle either. He kept moving with Becky, scanning the many battlefields they encountered. The deeper they went, the more skirmishes that happened, and the bigger the battles they found.

"They found him!" In less than half a day, William's eyes shone brightly when he spotted the fifty monsters running in one scary wave towards him. There was a big battle standing between him and them, yet they simply dashed through the middle of it, not caring about anything.

"Let's first clear the stage, kill everyone!" William didn't intend to spare anyone, so before even meeting up with his monsters, he gave them the order using the link with their cores.

The battle had at least thirty thousand strong masters, fighting among each other. Yet when they spotted fifty huge behemoths running towards them, they all stopped fighting as if they had already agreed on this beforehand!

Then, without further ado, they directed everything towards the fifty monsters, and yet nothing worked!

"You are really ruthless," Becky knew he could have easily scared those masters by killing a few and letting them watch and test how futile it was to stop his monsters. And yet he didn't intend to spare anyone from the very beginning, didn't give any master a chance to run, nor an opportunity to surrender!

William ignored what she said, and even changed into his fox body, and joined the fight using his deadly arrows and techniques!

The fight that could take days for a large master army concluded in less than two! William stood in the middle of a mountain of corpses, drenched in his enemies' blood, looking so mighty and terrifying in Becky's eyes.

And yet she knew the worst didn't come. But she knew one thing: "he won't hold anything back this time, he will fight to his fullest and will show me everything he's got!"

This was part of the reason why she was highly anticipating the upcoming battle. And most of the reasons were related to how bad she felt towards her Ex, wanting to see him suffer, wanting to see William kill him.

"Lead the way," William didn't even stop for a single second to catch his breath. He instantly gave the order, and his monsters led the way. They crossed lots of places, met many ongoing battles, ones that William handled in the same deadly way!

He released his monsters, joined the fray, and made sure no one escaped or survived. As his monsters spotted his enemy's location, he knew it was better to cut as much as possible of his allies, or else killing him might be a bit problematic.

William was sure that dude was planning something big. His thoughts drifted to the scary formation that the bastard had laid out at the last battle, letting many of his friends and his master's disciples die in vain that day!

That formation needed lots of blood and corpses, required a ton of human sacrifice to get activated. William didn't have the time back then to properly inspect and analyse that formation, but he still recalled the horrors he met thanks to it.

The only way to stop such a tragedy from occurring again was by killing that bastard fast. Even if there was a risk for that dark master to activate his deadly formation, William was fully prepared for it.

"This world is finally playing into my favour lately," William couldn't help but thank his luck again. Thanks to all this happening in this lower realm, the magnitude and effects of that bastard's formations were destined to be way weaker than they would be if they were in the upper realm!

"Your greatest weapon is dull from the low quality of this world's spirit power, and my monsters are far ahead of this world's cap of might. You won't escape me this time, no matter what, you will fall into my hands!"

"..."

Becky turned to glance in silence towards William. The more he spoke, the more she was sure this feud had nothing to do with her, despite dreaming this might be a possibility in the long list of reasons William had against her Ex.

"He is here!" Two hectic days of constant running and fighting ended with a sudden stop from William and his monsters. Becky scanned the area they stopped at; it was the heart of the colossal basin area. There was a huge river running in the middle of the region, with lots of masters standing on both sides, eyeing each other as if they were seeing their deadliest enemies.

"This is by far the largest gathering of enemies we've met so far," Becky admitted, yet she couldn't spot her Ex anywhere. "I can't see him."

"He is here," William clenched his sword, "this is where my monsters spotted him."

"Do they know what he looks like?" She asked in doubt.

"No need, they just spotted his unique way in laying formations and controlling them," William patted on one of his big behemoths, "they are very sensitive to spirit power, and they spotted a man infusing a great deal of his spirit power into the ground."

"He is controlling formations in the entire region using this method? That's… Quite hard to pull, but yes, if it was him, then it's possible!"

"It's him," William moved his eyes and spirit sense around, "let's get rid of the small flies, and push him to the open… Attack!"

"Wait, they aren't fighting among each other," Becky tried to stop William, or warn him of the weird situation up front, "they must be expecting us!"

"I know," William's calm voice came from up ahead, "you don't need to directly fight in this battle. Just stay behind, and scan those trying to run, find him if he tries to sneak away!"
