The new battle they just passed was slightly bigger than the previous one. Yet it shared the same general features and circumstances as the first battle, even shared the same ending with everyone's deaths at the hands of William's monsters!

"It seems the dark masters did the same in any gathering," after stumbling upon the third battlefield, William was now sure of his theory.

"They turned their blades against normal masters; that's typical. Still…" Becky raised her head and looked at William in doubt.

"What's the gain, right?" William could read through what she was thinking about, "I can't decide. Perhaps there was a deal between the two sides, and the kingdoms' masters didn't stick to their side of it!"

"That doesn't add up," Becky was still feeling unsettled, "I can't believe the scaredy cats of dark masters will pull such a move in the middle of enemy territory. If they wanted to backstab these masters, then sudden withdrawal in dire times will be enough…"

"Good point indeed," She shone the light over something that William didn't pay attention towards. In fact, he didn't care about the reason that much, as he was sure no matter what the enemy was planning, he could easily crush it using pure might!

"Tell me, is your Ex that experienced with formations?" William suddenly spoke about that point again, drawing the hostile look from her, "I'm not fooling around this time. I just noticed the overuse of upper realm formations in a complicated way, like that grenade field, like that swarm terrain shifting formation…"

"I got what you want to say," Becky was super annoyed by returning to speak about her Ex, "he was a scum, but genius in formations. His mind worked differently from others, yet his formations always leaned towards the dark side from the very beginning, aiming to kill more masters than to simply win battles. And he also loved to put a childish touch in the heart of his formations, the sacred silly…"

"The sacred silly touch of fate… Damn! It's him!" William's eyes grew wider the moment he recognised who Becky was speaking about. Yet that made Becky glare in a very weird way towards William, standing in her place stupefied, not knowing what she should say.

"Don't ask, you won't like my answer," William honestly said, as if he told her he came from the future and got reincarnated and such, she would believe he was making a fool out of her again, rather than actually believing him.

"O… Ok," Becky felt like she had a cold bucket of water had fallen over her head, "I won't ask from where you heard these words, but yes, these are his beloved motto and slogan, he even hums it as a song if he is happy!"

"I know," William knew the more he spoke, the weirder he would look. So he decided to stick his lips tight and not say anything anymore.

That dark master was an old ferocious enemy of him and his master back in his past life. He didn't get why a human would be this fixated on helping a scary monster like the Fox, one that wanted to destroy the world and devour all humans within. Yet now he could tell he was born with something wrong in his head, and ended up having a love trauma that made things worse!

He couldn't believe his luck! He still recalled how this formation genius created tons of troubles for his master, ending up for her losing lots of her good disciples at the hands of the sneaky and deadly formations of that dark master.

In the end, he was killed in the last battle against the Fox. William knew they paid a hefty price to get rid of the mastermind behind the formations standing between them and the Fox.

"If we killed him earlier, we would have saved a lot…" William slowly muttered, recalling the regretful words of his master back then.

"..." And from the side, Becky kept her silence. She didn't know how William was familiar with her Ex, even knowing the motto he only said to the few closest to him, including her. Yet she was sure of something… The bloodlust William showed the moment he recognised her Ex was unbelievably scary!

She didn't even recall William being this scary before this moment! And when he spoke his little words just now, she felt like his bloodlust was endlessly growing inside his spirit, as if there was a deep hatred and enmity between the two.

"Just… Who in the world are you?!" Realising all this added more mystery and confusion to Becky, who thought to herself, without having a single clue about William's true identity!

"Let's rearrange our priorities first," William didn't satisfy her curiosity or puzzlement; instead, he focused all his thoughts on this golden chance, "we need to find that bastard and kill him before doing anything else!"

"..." Becky didn't know why William acted in this way, but her earlier guess was right. He was after blood, and without the need to ask, it seemed there was a huge feud between the two of them. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

"He isn't doing all this just for me, right? Right?" As if she found an unlikely explanation, she couldn't help but steal glances from time to time over William.

The latter did exactly what he just said. He sent all his monsters to rapidly end the ongoing battle, before suddenly expanding the monsters all over the region. He gave them a single order, finding the human leading the enemies and orchestrating all this mess.

Becky watched the fifty monsters spread and vanish from her large spirit sense coverage. She didn't imagine William was so serious and decisive, ending up sending everyone of his scary monsters just for a single goal.

She didn't see it, but the monsters spread and ventured through lots of ongoing battles. Their sudden appearance startled both fighting sides, ending up for them to be slightly wary of those wandering behemoths.
