Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1475: William’s Plan!
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance!" The fierce, predatory light erupting from William’s eyes was enough to tell Fang everything he needed to know. This wasn’t just about defence anymore; it was about acquisition.
"I am planning to secure this world for us. I want to claim this world of gates to different worlds. But doing so requires immense preparations, including the absolute securing of three safe exits. If I leave now, I’ll waste lots of time which I can use to finalise preparations for this step. So..."
"So you need us to secure those other two exits for you from the outside," Fang finished, his eyes scanning the rocky terrain. He took a deep breath, his curiosity finally outweighing his caution.
"But first, let me go up there. I need to see what’s so special about this place with my own eyes before I leave you to your madness. You know, my spirit sense is blocked in here for some reason."
"Cool," William said. He took one final glance at the copper-brown sky, double-checking that no new tornadoes were festering in the thick fog above their heads. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
He led the way, carving a path through the surging Scarlet Bears with ease. They ascended the jagged edge of the valley—the side William had recently cleared of gates. When they reached the summit, Fang stood at the precipice, and for the first time, he saw the true face of the Medium World.
The sight left him breathless, his spirit vibrating with a mix of awe and pure terror. "This... The entire world is like this? There are thousands... Tens of thousands of these gates... But how? How is this possible?!"
Fang struggled to process the scale. He had been shocked by the endless number of Scarlet Bears and the thousands of monster gates visible as far as his eyes could reach.
But the question that truly haunted him was the one William had raised earlier: if there were all this number of active gates in this world, why were only a dozen or so hitting theirs?
"I believe the output of this world isn’t just limited to our home," William said, his voice dropping to a low, sombre tone. He paused, intentionally holding back the full extent of his theories until he had more concrete data and clues. "But I need to gather proof. That is why this Medium World is so vital to us. It isn’t just a breeding ground for monsters."
"You don’t see a threat," Fang said, the realisation finally dawning on him as he looked at the horizon. "You don’t see a power to be destroyed. You’re after the bridges to other worlds..."
"Exactly," William nodded.
"Fine," Fang said, his hesitation finally evaporating. "I’ll make sure to secure those two extra gates for you. But just as a hypothesis... What if there is more than one Medium World involved in this invasion?"
"I doubt that," William replied. "The type of this world is very hard to make, is too unique. If that were the case, when you try to re-enter, you’ll arrive in a world where I don’t exist. If that happens, retreat immediately, come back here to our original gate, and find me. Then we can brainstorm a new solution."
"Leave it to me," Fang said. He didn’t dwindle or second-guess himself any longer. "To me and Becky, and others, of course."
He turned and headed back down the slope toward the basin. The ten monsters William had originally left at the gate were joined by five more, forming a phalanx of fifteen lethal bodyguards for the old master.
William watched them go, calculating his remaining strength. By giving away fifteen more monsters to Fang, he had ensured that both Fang and Becky would have ten elite guardians each once they reunited. Between the various fronts, he had now distributed fifty of his monsters: ten each to Lara, Anjie, Fang, Becky, and Ro.
He was left with fifty monsters for himself. To any other master, being alone in a hostile realm with only fifty allies would be a death sentence, but William knew these were more than enough to protect his position and begin the work he truly came here to do.
He stood silently at the edge of the valley, watching Fang’s silhouette vanish into the shimmering purple light of the monster gate. The moment the portal pulsed and closed behind the old man, the atmosphere of the valley seemed to grow heavier, more silent.
"Time to start the grand plan," William whispered to the wind.
He descended down the edge until stopping beside the gate. He wasn’t going to just destroy the gates; he was going to forcibly link it to his spirit. And such a grand step required lots of preparations.
Around him, his fifty monsters formed a perfect, silent circle, their eyes glowing with a protective red light that cut through the lots of Scarlet Bears coming from the gates on the only edge functioning.
William did not immediately venture further into the jagged, fog-choked horizon. Instead, he signalled his remaining fifty monsters to expand their perimeter.
They moved with efficiency, clearing a massive circular expanse around the gate, their deadly weapons and immense strength making short work of any Scarlet Bears that dared to linger. Once the ground was secured, William began to unpack his arsenal—not of weapons, but of creation.
From his spatial rings, he withdrew a staggering amount of equipment: heavy, high-grade ovens, anvils that hummed with power, and delicate alchemy equipment designed for the highest level of concoctions. To an observer, it would look as though he were setting up a master-class workshop in the middle of a war zone.
"To simply take down this world isn’t a big step in itself," William muttered, his hands moving with grace as he ignited the first furnace.
"It’s easy to destroy a machine if you know where to strike, but it would be a colossal waste to let this grand chance be obliterated. Instead, I shall take over this world. I will make it mine. Through this hub, I can establish connections with dozens—perhaps hundreds—of smaller realms like my own."
