Chapter 1513: The Shock, Puzzlement, and Excitement!

The first messenger to arrive at his destination was the one sent to the leader of the Blue Purgators.

In the grand palace, Anna’s father listened intently to Bernard’s report. He stood by the balcony, looking out over the valley where the blue banners fluttered in a wind that finally felt clean. When the messenger finished, the leader didn’t look angry or threatened. Instead, he ended up cracking a big, admiring smile.

"Interesting kid!" the leader whispered to himself. "Even when he is in the middle of a desperate struggle to save his own world and fighting the influence of the Fox here, he still has the mind to shift his gaze toward his next target. Impressive!"

"Sir, what shall I say back to Bernard?" the messenger asked in puzzlement. He couldn’t quite grasp the meaning behind the leader’s smile or the weight of his words. To the messenger, the idea of thousands of foreign warriors entering this world was still a logistical and security nightmare, but to the leader, it was a glimpse into the future.

"Tell him to trust William and follow his steps closely," the leader paused, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "And tell him it’ll be his fortune if he manages to be a close friend and a trusted ally to him! Tell Bernard to watch and learn."

"Right away," the messenger replied, bowing low. He didn’t have any say in any of that. He knew he was delivering news way higher than his rank, and he was more than happy to leave the worrying to Bernard and the leader.

As Bernard received the sincere advice of his leader, the news reached the other side of the gate. The various factions of the Fox Guild and the two newly affiliated behemoths—the Aspire Academy and the Lockheart Impact—received William’s orders as well.

This time, every single person was caught off guard. Every leader, from the battle-hardened veterans to the young prodigies, was surprised by the sudden shift in strategy.

"I didn’t see that coming!" Anjie said, her eyes wide as she studied the summons. "At a time when we are supposed to be settling things here, reclaiming our cities and fortifying our borders, he asks all of us to converge back to that alien world?

What is he planning to do exactly? Is he going to colonise the Medium World before he even finishes saving this one?! Or does he plan on sending us to various places linked to gates there? It’s still too early, though, to make such a move..."

She wasn’t the only one confused; the sentiment was shared across the board. The challenge of pulling thousands of elite masters from active frontlines was staggering.

And yet, despite the puzzlement and the whispered debates in war rooms and tents, they executed his orders without fail. They gathered their forces, packed their supplies, and led their armies through the portals, heading toward the primary gate.

If William had asked for ten thousand masters only a week or two ago, it would have been an impossible request. The world was being swallowed by Scarlet Bears, and every blade was needed on the walls. But after all the damage William had caused in the Medium World, the results were reflected back at home.

The Scarlet Bears were in a clear state of regression. In many spots, the tides had stopped, giving the guild the breathing room they needed to mobilise.

On top of that, the Fox Guild had added a colossal number of new masters to their ranks. The safe zones had become magnets for every displaced cultivator on the two continents.

The factions that grew the most were the girls’ factions—Anjie, Lara, and the Four Girls’ Alliance—as they were the primary destinations everyone headed toward.

Other minor faction leaders had to make pragmatic deals with the girls, acting as their subsidiary supporters. In return, they gained a portion of the big cake—the massive influx of population and talent.

The first to move into the Medium World were none other than Fang and Becky. The two led ten thousand warriors each, gathered easily from the surging populations of the Scorching Lands and Lara’s city. They didn’t wait for the others; they headed directly toward William’s location.

Even if they weren’t technically part of William’s guild factions, they considered this a rare chance to see the big picture he was aiming to achieve. Becky, in particular, was driven by a sharp curiosity.

She wanted to see what he planned for the upper realm after his ascension. Something told her that no matter how vague he was being now, this unexplained move would hold the key and uncover the mystery in her eyes.

As for Fang, he was simpler. As long as there was a new adventure lying in wait or a strange new land to explore, he wouldn’t hesitate to take the leap. Since joining William’s side, the youngster had always managed to bring the most amusing and fun battles to him, especially whenever he did something as confusing as this.

Following the vanguard, the girls began to arrive. The first to step through into the Medium World was Lara, looking regal and focused. Then came Anjie, followed closely by the four girls—Sara, Berry, Ro, and Lina—arriving together in a show of unified strength.

Each girl was accompanied by a trail of faction leaders who had decided to join their respective banners. To the girls, the figure of ten thousand seemed almost too small considering the massive pool of masters they now controlled; they wanted to show William just how much they had accomplished in his absence.

What delayed the four girls slightly was the sheer scale of the Aspire Academy and the Lockheart Impact. Panther had stressed the need for extra time to sort out the organisation of the Impact, ensuring that the most loyal and capable were the ones chosen to cross the threshold.

Meanwhile, the two grandfathers of the Academy had their hands full dealing with the hundreds of thousands of clans and students begging for a spot in the expedition.
