Chapter 151: JOINING A PARTY

Logan soon returned to his room in the inn. His training with Ali Arkman had ended just a while ago. He was a bit sweaty.

Without wasting time, he took a quick shower. Cold water splashed down, washing away the exhaustion clinging to his body.

After drying himself off, he changed into a fresh set of clothes. A simple black tunic, brown belt, and light boots. Clean, comfortable, ready for the day.

He stepped out of his room and headed down the wooden stairs of the inn. The smell of food greeted him before anything else. Fried eggs, warm bread, and something sweet....maybe syrup.

Delicia Tavern.

It wasn’t loud yet. Just a few customers here and there. The tavern usually got crowded by lunch or dinner. Breakfasts were quiet.

Logan pushed open the door and entered.

Sylvie was behind the counter but noticed him instantly. Her eyes lit up a little.

"You’re early today. Going for mission?" she said with a smile, walking over to his table.

Logan gave a small nod. "Yes."

"Alright, here is the menu." She placed it gently in front of him. After logan selected few items, she picked it up and walked back to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, she returned with his order: two slices of buttered toast, scrambled eggs, and a mug of warm milk.

Logan savoured the taste while eating his breakfast.

He didn’t rush.

After finishing, he left a few coins on the table and nodded at Sylvie before heading out.

His next stop was the Hunter Guild again. But this time not for training like early morning, but to accept missions.

The streets had gotten busier. Merchants shouting, kids laughing, wheels clattering on cobblestones. But Logan didn’t get distracted. He continued marching forward in unhurried steps and soon reached the hunter guild.

At one table near the window inside hunter guild’s main hall, Gideon’s group was having breakfast together.

Ronald, his long spear resting against his chair, was busy chewing meat.

Jessi, Melissa and Luna were also present.

Gideon, however, wasn’t with them. He was standing in front of the mission board with his arms crossed, scanning through the list of available dungeons. He was looking for a low tier dungeon.

Because his party had two B-class hunters, Ronald and Jessi. Melissa was C-class. And Luna... she was still E-class. Just a beginner. Though he himself was an A-class hunter and also had two B-class hunters, it was very difficult to complete a higher raid with only five members, where one was even E-class.

So, Gideon was looking for a D-class dungeon. Something his party could handle.

Just then, the guild doors opened and Logan entered.

Once inside, he found the usual sight.

Dozens of hunters sat at tables, eating, chatting, joking. Plates clanked, cups clinked, and laughter echoed from every corner.

Even amidst al the dangers and risks, they didn’t forget to enjoy the moment as much as they could.

He walked straight toward the mission board, right beside Gideon.

Many hunters turned their heads for a moment. And slowly, many started murmuring. He was the most discussed topic in last few days after all. He could feel the shift in the hall but didn’t say anything, just stood silently and started scanning the board.

Gideon turned to look.

He smiled. "Morning, kid."

Logan returned the smile gently. "Morning."

Before anything else could be said, Elizabeth approached from the counter.

"Aiden," she called gently.

Logan turned.

"The Guild Master gave me a message for you this morning. He said to remind you...no solo dungeon raids from now on. You can go, but it must be in a party."

Logan paused for a bit. He had almost forgotten last day’s incidents.

He turned back to the board, thinking.

Then his eyes caught Gideon again.

Suddenly, he remembered something.

During the Hunter Test, Gideon had offered him a place in his party if he ever wanted to.

Maybe it was time to accept that offer.

Logan stepped closer.

"Are you going on a dungeon raid today?"

Gideon turned toward Logan. "Yeah. I was just about to select one."

Logan nodded. "Can I join?"

Gideon was taken aback. He had assumed Logan would go with Leonard party. So Logan’s sudden request came as a surprise.

Still, he smiled widely. "Of course! We’d be glad to have you."

He reached out, grabbed one of the D-class dungeon scrolls, and clutched it under his arm. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"Let’s go," Gideon said, walking toward his table. Logan followed beside him.

As they reached the table, everyone turned.

"Everyone," Gideon said, "we’ve got a new member for today’s raid."

The group looked up.

Logan gave a slight bow of greeting.

"This is Aiden. He’ll be joining us."

Ronald gave a nod. " We have all heard about you. Welcome to the party kid. I don’t know how long you’re planning to stay but I hope you enjoy the tenure." He already wanted Logan to join their party.

Melissa grinned, "So you finally decided to join a real party? Everyone here was speculating about how long you are going to play solo."

Logan’s achievements were known to all. A new hunter who was only twelve years old but already a C-class hunter and had cleared 10 E-class dungeon in just six days. Nobody could avoid being amazed.

A polite smile flashed in Logan’s face. "They were all E-class. Barely mentionable."

Though all looked happy, Jessi still had her suspicions. She still couldn’t believe whatever she heard about Logan. "I hope you can keep up." She blurted out.

"I will try my best." Logan said without a hint of dissatisfaction.

And amidst all this introduction, Luna stood frozen. She also wanted to welcome Logan but couldn’t say anything.

No one paid much attention. Except Melissa, who noticed immediately.

She leaned over and whispered, "Someone’s already blushing."

Then she poked Luna in the side with a teasing grin.

"Melissaaa..." Luna whispered in protest.

Logan didn’t hear the whole thing. He was too busy checking the dungeon scroll Gideon had chosen.

It was inside a forest. D-class of course.

"Let’s finish our meal quickly," Gideon said. "The earlier we go, the better."

Logan nodded.

He sat down and waited as the group finished their breakfast. It was the start of a new type of adventure....his first raid in a party.

And unknowingly, the first step toward new bonds.
