Remarriage Failed Again Today-Chapter 105: Is She That Empty and Lonely?
Annabelle Linton felt that, in many ways, Ashley Grant’s temper was a lot like Leona Grant’s—domineering, arrogant, and completely self-important.
The only difference was that Ashley Grant was kindhearted, with a sharp tongue but a soft heart. As for Leona Grant... Annabelle could only say she must have been blind in the past.
"I think you should focus on the first two points I made. The last point was just to embellish them and emphasize that Miss Grant is gentle, kind, magnanimous, tough as nails, a passionate hero, righteous and brave, doesn’t sweat the small stuff, is gorgeous, has a great body, and most importantly, is a modern-day Robin Hood who offers a lifeline to those in need..."
"Stop! Keep this up and you’ll turn me into a legendary outlaw, won’t you?"
Ashley Grant scoffed, but the corners of her lips couldn’t help but curl up. "But then again, your flattery skills have really improved. Especially that part about being gorgeous with a great body—I thought that was spot on. Feel free to say a bit more on that topic. I don’t mind, HAHAHAHAHA..."
Annabelle Linton: "..."
’Lady, can’t you be a little more low-key and reserved?’
Annabelle Linton walked over. Ashley Grant glanced at her hand and took the meal from her. "Need me to feed you?"
"No need. One hand is injured, but the other one still works. I won’t trouble Your Majesty."
After speaking, Annabelle Linton started to eat with her left hand, which was almost completely uninjured.
Used to handling a scalpel, she was almost equally skilled with both hands, making her seem like a natural lefty.
...
Leona Grant had just finished a meeting and sat down when his phone chimed.
He opened his phone and saw a social media post from Ashley Grant.
[Tired of endless blind dates? Sick of being hounded day and night to get married? Well, good news! See the woman in this picture? Her name is Annabelle Linton!
She’s a lady in public and a master in the kitchen. Lonely, available, and an eligible bachelorette, she’s currently looking for a husband! Requirements: must be male, alive, handsome, rich, and gentle. If you make the first move, your story together can begin. For all you guys out there dreaming of taking a goddess home, what are you waiting for?]
Leona Grant: "..."
His face dark, he opened the photos.
In the first photo, Annabelle Linton was hugging a throw pillow, dressed in a pink bathrobe that revealed her slender, porcelain legs. Her feet were propped up on the coffee table as she leaned against the sofa, watching TV with an air of boredom. It was clearly a candid shot.
Her expression was a mixture of indifference, languor, and cool detachment, giving her an indescribable charm.
In the second photo, she was staring at the camera with a deadpan, exasperated look, yet she somehow managed to appear both adorable and sexy.
Leona Grant’s expression grew even darker as he scrolled through the comments.
User A: "Holy shit, what a gorgeous woman. I’m calling dibs. I’m not marrying anyone else. Gimme her address, I’m going to propose tomorrow!"
User B: "Damn, those legs, that face! Is this what love at first sight feels like? I think I’ve found my soulmate. Oh, Cupid, is this why you’ve kept me single all this time? So I could finally meet her?"
User C: "Great vibe, sweet face, aloof eyes... so much charm. Hey beautiful, how about you toss that pillow and hug me instead? I’ll be your loyal lapdog for the rest of my life, what do you say?"
User D: "@OP, dude, from the moment I saw your friend, I’ve decided: you and I are going to be best friends!"
Leona Grant: "..."
After about a minute, he snapped out of it and, in a fit of rage, slammed his phone down on the table!
’This woman... we’re not even divorced yet and she’s already looking for a new husband. Is she that lonely and desperate? That starved for love and affection?’
’To be so brazenly hitting on other men while still carrying my name! Daring to cuckold me... She’s challenging me. She’s got a death wish!’
He dialed Annabelle Linton’s number.
