Remarriage Failed Again Today-Chapter 174: If You’re Fine, Just Shut Up and Rest
Leona Grant roared, and a throb of pain shot through his groin.
This was exactly why he was covered with a blanket, not a comforter.
He was afraid a comforter might press against his injury, while a blanket wouldn’t.
But the blanket barely concealed a thing!
Humiliation. Absolute humiliation!
And it was all because of the wretched woman standing before him.
But she was still laughing!
Annabelle Linton ignored his roar, laughing until she nearly fainted.
Leona Grant: "..."
He was discovering he was truly helpless against this woman.
Leona Grant’s expression turned grim. "Keep laughing, and I’ll make sure the whole world knows how I got hurt."
Annabelle Linton finally stopped laughing.
But not because she was afraid of his threat—she’d simply had her fill of laughing.
"I don’t care. I imagine the whole world would be quite interested to know what you’re like when you’re injured."
Annabelle Linton scoffed, her eyes flicking to the tented fabric at his groin. "I have to admit..." she said, her tone full of meaning, "...it’s quite a spectacular sight."
Leona Grant’s eyes narrowed dangerously, and a wicked grin spread across his lips. "They won’t get the chance to see it, but I have countless ways to let them know *how* I was injured."
"With what, medicated oil? Heh. Be my guest."
Leona Grant’s face fell, and he seethed, grinding his teeth in frustration.
’He’d never met a woman with such a vicious mouth!’
But he quickly regained his composure, his tone light and breezy. "Annabelle Linton, don’t you find the location of my injury... rather suggestive?"
A sharp glint appeared in Annabelle Linton’s eyes, and a sense of foreboding washed over her.
Leona Grant chuckled, looking askance at Annabelle Linton. "Tell me," he said softly, "what do you suppose they’ll think when they see I’m injured... *here*?"
The worse Annabelle Linton’s expression became, the more delighted Leona Grant grew. "Will they wonder if you were just too delicious and I got too rough? Or maybe that you were too tight? Or what if they imagine you, unsatisfied, climbing on top of me and accidentally..."
"Enough!" Absolutely sickened by his vulgar filth, Annabelle Linton cut him off coldly. Her face an icy mask, she started for the door. "If you’re not dying, then shut your mouth and get some rest. Stop spouting nonsense like an imbecile!"
"Stop!" Leona Grant’s gaze was sharp. "Did I say you could leave?"
"I didn’t come here to listen to your delirious, lunatic ramblings!"
Leona Grant watched as Annabelle Linton’s hand closed around the doorknob. A cold, predatory light flared in his eyes.
He didn’t try to stop her. Instead, he threw out a lethal parting shot, his tone laced with a barely perceptible, testing edge. "Annabelle Linton, don’t assume I wouldn’t dare leak something!" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Annabelle Linton’s hand tightened on the doorknob. She didn’t open the door, but she didn’t turn around either, her back remaining squarely toward him.
Watching her frozen form, Leona Grant’s lips twisted into a cold smirk. A flicker of resentment flashed in his eyes. "Care to see the video from that night?"
Hearing this, Annabelle Linton whipped around. "What are you trying to do?"
’He actually recorded it.’ Annabelle Linton knew he hadn’t made the video just for his own twisted viewing pleasure.
Seeing her tense expression, the chill in Leona Grant’s eyes deepened, becoming even more glacial.
And yet, he simply arched his lips into a malevolent smirk. "I must say, your performance that day was immensely satisfying. So tight, so full... a delicacy to be savored to the very marrow. Every moan, every gasp... they made me..."
"Shut your mouth! Don’t test my patience. I’m giving you one last chance. What is it you want!"
’Leona Grant’s lips twitched. In the entire world, Annabelle Linton was probably the only person who dared to speak to him that way.’
’But, surprisingly, he wasn’t angry. In fact, he found it rather interesting.’
’When a man’s life has been nothing but smooth sailing, when he’s spent too long as the center of everyone’s universe, he grows weary of the profound loneliness at the summit.’
