Return of The Alpha Heiress-Chapter 82: Richard – Beginning of Vengeance
The pressure in my grip tightened. Alpha William’s expression shifted from offense to sheer terror. He realized I could truly kill him right now.
The pressure released by his inner wolf collided with Obby’s, but the pressure of a wolf who wasn’t a true alpha meant nothing to me.
I might not be a true alpha. I couldn’t suppress subordinates with mind command. But my brute force alone was more than enough to kill an ordinary werewolf.
To me, Alpha William was nothing more than an ordinary werewolf. His father might have been a true alpha, but if he wasn’t one, then in my eyes, he was no different from any other.
"You can’t kill an alpha just like that, Commander Black."
Larry spoke from behind me, his tone restrained but firm.
"If he committed a crime, you must judge him according to the law."
Noah and the other alphas looked shocked by Larry’s intervention. They had already felt Obby’s pressure and clearly understood that their strength was nowhere near enough to oppose it.
Even without knowing what lay between me and Alpha Green, witnessing my fury was enough to keep them from interfering. None of them wanted to become the next target.
Seeing Larry speak up, they likely assumed that as a son, he was trying to protect his father.
But I heard something else in his words.
And I agreed completely.
Killing Alpha William now would be far too merciful.
I needed to torment him until he reached the point where he would search for Clarissa and worship her like a god once he found her.
Only then would I cut off his limbs and exile him, just as he had done to Clarissa.
With that thought, I released my grip.
Blood streaked down Alpha William’s neck, but it wasn’t enough. It should have poured like a raging waterfall.
He staggered back immediately, clutching his throat. His body trembled in fear as he met the red glint in my eyes, the gaze of a predator locking onto its prey.
I turned away, forcing myself to calm down, even as Obby continued howling inside my head.
"Commander Black, with all due respect," Alpha Blooms spoke up once he sensed I had settled slightly, "may I ask what crime Alpha Green committed that led you to act this way? I don’t intend to challenge you. I simply believe I can assist with the legal process, if needed."
The corner of my lips curved upward.
Alpha Blooms truly knew how to seize opportunities. No wonder he had Oliver stick close to the alpha’s son of the center pack.
I turned back and replied coldly, "Alpha William Green fabricated accusations, punished, crippled, and exiled an innocent woman."
From the corner of my eye, I saw confusion, even scorn, flicker across some of the alphas’ faces. But whatever they thought, none of them dared to voice it.
"And who is this woman, Commander?" Only Alpha Blooms dared to ask.
My gaze swept across the alphas now standing under my authority.
Then I spoke, my voice sharp with indignation.
"That woman is my fated mate."
Gasps rippled through the room. Shocked murmurs followed. Even Larry looked stunned by my declaration.
Alpha William tried to protest. "That—"
But he immediately stopped himself.
What could he possibly say?
I was merely making him taste his own medicine.
Back then, as the most powerful figure in Green Pack and one of the most renowned alphas in the West Region, he had fabricated accusations against Clarissa, even forging evidence. Everyone believed him because he held power.
Now, I held far more power than he ever did.
If I said something was true, then it would become the truth. If proof was needed, I could simply fabricate it.
He needed to understand that his cunning would never prevail against absolute authority.
Besides, even if it wasn’t confirmed yet, I was certain Clarissa was my fated mate.
That was why Obby was so devastated.
"Commander Black, Alpha William Green’s actions are severely unlawful," Alpha Blooms declared without hesitation. "He must be detained immediately."
He didn’t flinch even as Alpha William growled at him. Several alphas from the West Region who sided with William shot Alpha Blooms sharp glares as well.
Apparently, Alpha Blooms wasn’t someone who could be pushed around.
Most of the alphas from the South Region returned those glares with equal intensity.
The atmosphere was... fascinating.
I dismissed the tension with a wave of my hand.
"For now, Alpha William will complete the mission at Frost Pack. We need to maximize our workforce."
Then I continued calmly,
"After that, I will personally escort Alpha William back to Green Pack and detain him there."
My words fell like a verdict that shattered Alpha William’s world.
The West Region alphas gasped and whispered among themselves, believing the decision far too extreme.
An alpha detained within his own pack was worse than death.
It was the ultimate humiliation.
I didn’t care.
"Tomorrow, Alpha William will lead the vanguard team," I ordered, then dismissed the alphas.
Alpha William left with a look of pure shock.
He was terrified of leaving without heavy security because of The Witch, wasn’t he?
Good.
I would let him taste that fear as the opening act of my revenge for Clarissa.
Before returning to the room prepared for me, I ordered Noah to investigate Ryan, the former Alpha Brown, and trace any possible leads on Clarissa’s whereabouts.
The next morning, the journey to Frost Pack began.
Alpha William had already departed earlier. As vanguard, his duty was to secure the route before the main force advanced.
Oliver told me that Alpha William had spent the night in a room barely better than a prison cell. Alpha Blooms had arranged it, claiming he feared Alpha William might flee.
Alpha Blooms truly knew how to act decisively.
I smirked, causing Oliver to grin proudly, as if his father’s work were his own. He clearly already knew what had happened the previous night.
Turning away from Oliver, I faced Larry.
"Everything secure?"
He nodded. "Secure, Commander. Though earlier this morning, Alpha Green caused trouble. He insisted on bringing a large number of warriors and enforcers with him."
"He must’ve made things difficult for you," I muttered. After all, Larry was still Alpha William’s son.
"Even if he did, I wouldn’t care," Larry replied indifferently.
So Larry was the same as me.
We both harbored resentment toward those who claimed to be our parents.
I was still planning what other punishments I could inflict on Alpha William to make his life miserable when an enforcer came running from the front, his body soaked in blood.
He spoke just before collapsing.
"The vanguard team was attacked. Alpha Green has been abducted by The Witch."
