Revenge Wears Red Lipstick-Chapter 129: Found Your Sister
Eva and her brothers had received new intel about a new weapons shipment happening in Lexora.
They’d already informed her that since she’d been in a coma, they’d not burst out of any warehouse, which meant that their arrival would be shocking to Mr. De Rossi. However, with Eva being alive now, the old man would already be waiting for her so he can finish her off and this time, only he knows what he could be planning.
Despite trying so hard to convince Eva not to leave, she still followed right behind them. Her face was stoic, as if she were deep in thought. She looked different, spoke differently, and rarely smiled anymore. Even if she did, it wasn’t as genuine as her other smiles, making them realize something has really changed in their sister.
"What did you find?" Eva asked Ryan who was with a pair of binoculars, surveying the area.
"As usual, there are armed men stationed nearby, but this could also be a trap," said Ryan. He took the binoculars off his face. "We can attack now, but we just have to be careful," he added.
Eva nodded, glancing at her brothers who were still wearing a worried expression on their faces.
"Let’s go," she said.
Reluctantly, they jumped out of the bushes where they were hiding and carefully snuck towards the warehouse.
Only a small group of men were heading to the warehouse, so in case it was a trap, there were several men who would shoot them down.
It turned out it was a trap, but their plans worked successfully. Grenades were thrown at the criminals, showers of bullets raining on them and they all died instantly.
The others continued to fight, even though they knew their number was nothing compared to the number of Eva’s men.
In a total of one hour, they’d conquered the warehouse. Blood stained the ground and only a few of the armed men who were brave enough to surrender were spared. But if they turned out to be useless, unable to give useful information to them, they would be killed.
In the bushes, Eva felt the presence of someone, and all the hair on her body stood on end.
She scanned around but couldn’t see anything since everything was pitch black.
But she could feel it as well, this was the same way she felt the night their house had been burned down, leading to the death of her parents.
"Can you smell that?" Ryan suddenly asked, pulling her out of her thoughts.
She sniffed the air, and instantly, her eyes darkened.
"Get out of there now!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
Everything went silent for three seconds, and the warehouse exploded.
All the bushes around it burned to a crisp, while the force pushed Eva away. The impact was so heavy and loud that everything was burnt to a cinder.
Eva coughed as she tried to stand up from where the explosion had sent her.
She grabbed her gun, holding it tightly as she held a nearby tree while grunting in pain. Thankfully, she only acquired small bruises but she would only know how deep they were once she took her clothes off.
Without wasting any more time, she rushed to the warehouse and saw her brothers and Ryan with several of their men trying to save the criminals they would take in for questioning, but most of them had already been burned to death.
She suddenly felt that presence again, as if someone had been watching her the entire time. Her grip tightened on the gun.
She saw that face. It was Mr. De Rossi, standing right there, watching her with a disappointed look on his face.
"Are you immortal or something? You never die," he stated, resisting the urge to pull his hair in frustration. "By the way, did you like my welcome gift?"
Eva gritted her teeth. Basically, the armed men he’d brought to guard the warehouse weren’t the trap. It was the fact that the warehouse was already drenched in gasoline, and he stood in the bushes, waiting for the perfect time to light everything up.
Thankfully, they’d noticed it sooner.
Eva pointed the gun at him.
"It’s been quite a long time, Marcus, don’t you think?" She asked, a grin on her lips. "I guess I have to thank you for making things a little bit easier for me. I don’t need to find you anymore since you’ve come here so willingly."
She cocked the gun.
She didn’t expect that Mr. De Rossi would be present, but since he was, she was itching to aim a bullet at his heart.
The man didn’t look scared at all. Instead, he was amused.
"I don’t think you would want to do that," he replied. He took two steps towards her, making her frown deeply. "Because you see, I know something that you need."
Eva frowned at him, but her grip didn’t loosen on her gun one bit. One more step and she would take a shot.
Mr. De Rossi seemed to have read her mind so he didn’t dare take another step.
She already gave him a scar on his face. He couldn’t afford to get another one.
"You’re searching for your sister, aren’t you?" Mr. De Rossi asked. "Well, I found her for you already, and you’ll never believe who it is."
Time seemed to have stilled, and goosebumps rose on Eva’s skin.
Her sister. Keisha, her older sister. Mr. De Rossi already found her?
Mr. De Rossi smirked when he saw that he had Eva right where he wanted her.
It was obvious she cared about her older sister a lot.
"Don’t you dare harm my sister," she warned, tears threatening to brim in her eyes. "If you touch her, I swear to God, I’ll kill you and make sure your body is never found!"
If her threat worked, Eva couldn’t tell because the old man was still smirking.
"We’ll see about that. But if you want your sister to be safe, then you’ll have to quit all of these. Stop troubling me, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll let your sister live."
Eva gritted her teeth. He wanted to blackmail her.
When Eva didn’t say anything, Mr. De Rossi turned to leave. "Till next time, Eva."
However, he underestimated Eva.
Finding her sister may be important, but getting rid of Mr. De Rossi was much more important.
She aimed and took a shot.
