Rewriting My Fate in the Apocalypse-Chapter 146: Clean the Warehouse
Chapter 146: Chapter 146: Clean the Warehouse
"As long as the space is enough, just take them all. There is no need to waste good products. Maybe leave some finished products just in case other survivors stumble upon this place and need them." Lu Zhen felt that the place was too remote for ordinary people to find.
Maybe the government might come looking for supplies later when the safe bases Leng Pan mentioned are built. But for the time being, it was better to take as much as possible.
Moreover, he understood from what Leng Pan had said before, they might form teams in order to survive because a bigger team was more convenient and also prevented other groups from targeting them.
Therefore, having more supplies meant having more loyal followers. Speaking of followers, he wondered how his assistant was doing. From Leng Pan’s narrative about their previous lives, his assistant had followed him until the end.
Since his assistant’s mother had always lived in another province, Lu Zhen assumed that the same thing that happened to his family must have befallen his assistant. Although Leng Pan never said anything, he could tell that they probably didn’t survive the first wave of the apocalypse.
Lu Zhen decided to look for his assistant once they had collected enough supplies.
"Then I’ll take all the raw materials and unfinished products and leave some of the finished products for those who might need them in the future." Leng Pan felt more confident in her decision after her husband’s affirmation and started to put things in the space.
Ever since the space expanded and the mansion appeared, she felt a closer connection with the jade bangle and using it became even easier.
With a thought, she didn’t even use any mental energy to put away all the raw materials into one pile in a designated spot within the warehouse in the space bangle. She followed suit with the finished products and put them in the warehouse as well.
Using her consciousness, Leng Pan observed all the supplies she had added and found that she had barely used any space. In addition to the meat they had collected the previous day, there was now a section with different clothes products arranged according to their use.
There was a section with thousands of down jackets, another section with wind breakers, another one with puff jackets, another with trousers, blankets, fleece blankets, feather-filled duvets, wool jackets and sweaters, and many others.
Leng Pan could guarantee that they would never need to worry about cold weather again. What was more, they still had more materials they could use to make more clothes. This was an absolute blessing in the current situation where the end of the world has come and new products couldn’t be manufactured.
After everything was stored well in the space bangle, Lu Zhen held his wife’s hand and the two walked out together. A few more zombies had appeared and Lu Tao, being a good learner, had gotten out of the car and was using his Mao saber to kill them.
Seeing him busy with the killing of zombies, Lu Zhen and Leng Pan didn’t disturb him and simply went to the other car and sat inside while waiting for him.
There weren’t many zombies, only about ten but for someone like Lu Tao who was facing so many zombies for the first time alone, it was a bit overwhelming. But he decided to persevere and not ask his brother or sister-in-law for help.
If he couldn’t even kill these ordinary zombies, then he wasn’t qualified to follow his brother to dominate the apocalypse world.
Yes, to Lu Tao, his brother was a world dominator and could rule in the apocalypse the same way he had ruled the business world. Nevertheless, he knew that his brother wouldn’t like such a concept so he kept it to himself. He just decided to use his skills to collect information about those people who seemed to have advanced technology and maybe steal it for his brother to use.
Or at least, find a way to throw them off so that they don’t find his brother when he doesn’t want to be found.
His brother and sister-in-law thought they had hidden it well but in fact, he had already figured out that the group of people calling themselves ’The Dominion’ were looking for his brother and sister-in-law. But he pretended not to know since it seemed that those people were dangerous and Lu Zhen and Leng Pan were worried that knowing too much might endanger their family.
Since he didn’t want to be a burden, he could only grit his teeth and work harder to improve his skills and combat ability as well. He had realized that fighting one-on-one with the zombies gave him a new perspective to everything and allowed him to increase his combat experience.
He was sure that if he faced the same situation like today in the future, then he would know what to do. After killing all the zombies that had shown up, Lu Tao, covered in gore and blood, took out his outer shirt and threw it away before going back to the truck where his uncle was driving.
He didn’t dare to get into the same car with his brother looking like that. The car in which Lu Zhen and Leng Pan were in started and took the lead to leave the factory while the truck followed closely behind.
Even though they had faced zombies and spent a good amount of time fighting, the family still made it back to the apartment complex by 1:00 pm. Lunch time had already gone by for a while but they still had some left overs that could be warmed and eaten for a late lunch once they got home.
Driving to the entrance of their building, the two older women headed straight upstairs while Leng Pan remained behind to guard the truck with their supplies. She didn’t want to take the risk of leaving the supplies alone and then someone comes and takes them. That would anger her to death.
