Richest Rag-picker-Chapter 53: Challenging the Dojo
"Pfft! Hahaha, this guy’s a genius. ’A monkey?’ Haha. It really does sound like that."
"Yi Zhihou... ’a monkey’... You know, he’s not wrong. That’s exactly what it sounds like." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Hearing Fang Chenyi’s words, the crowd of onlookers immediately erupted in laughter.
Hearing this, Yi Zhihou and his group stopped in their tracks, their faces darkening.
They considered pretending they hadn’t heard, but too many people were watching.
If he just feigned ignorance, got in the car, and left, he wouldn’t be able to show his face around school anymore.
Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to turn around. "What’s your problem, punk? I was magnanimous enough to overlook you stealing our stuff. What more do you want? Also, my name is Yi Zhihou. The ’Zhi’ for wisdom, not the ’hou’ for monkey!"
Hearing this, Fang Chenyi just chuckled, not taking the bait.
’Fang Chenyi was no fool. In this day and age, public opinion was a powerful weapon. Even if I’m going to take this guy down, I need to have the moral high ground.’
"Heh, call yourself one monkey or two, it makes no difference to me. Furthermore, ’it’s only natural for a gentleman to court a fair maiden,’ so I won’t hold it against you for pursuing my Hanhan. But from what I just overheard, you’re not from Huaxia, are you?"
At the mention of this, Yi Zhihou immediately lifted his head with pride. "That’s right, I’m not a Huaxia person. I’m from the Big Stick Country, seumnida!"
Getting excited, Yi Zhihou couldn’t resist blurting out a bizarre mix of Chinese and Korean. His horribly broken Korean left Fang Chenyi dumbfounded for a moment. ’What the hell is this guy even saying? Is he some kind of wannabe?’
"Are you really a citizen of that country? You speak like a total fraud. I should smear crap all over your stupid face!"
Fang Chenyi glanced at the smug-looking Yi Zhihou and rattled off a long, fluent stream of Korean.
Instantly, the surrounding onlookers, and Yi Zhihou himself, were all dumbstruck.
"Damn, is that rich guy speaking Korean? That’s so badass! It’s one thing to be handsome and rich, but this motherfucker also knows a foreign language?"
"I think so? Anyway, I didn’t understand a single word. But what did the rich guy say at the end? Did he say something about smearing crap all over the other guy’s face?"
"Holy shit! Bro, can you not be so disgusting? I’ve studied a little Korean. The rich guy was asking if the other dude is a wannabe."
Fortunately, at that moment, a guy who knew a little Korean stepped up to translate.
Yi Zhihou, meanwhile, was completely floored by Fang Chenyi’s long string of Korean. It was true that he now held Stick Country citizenship, but he was a born-and-bred Huaxia person.
His entire knowledge of Korean consisted of "seumnida" and "oppa." As a result, he hadn’t understood a single word of what Fang Chenyi said.
Seeing this, Fang Chenyi confirmed his suspicions. He shook his head in disdain and finally spoke in a flat, indifferent tone in Chinese.
"Tsk, so you’re really just a wannabe. Alright, let’s get down to business. I hear you’re the vice-president of the Taekwondo club?"
Seeing that the other guy was no longer pressing the Korean language issue, Yi Zhihou let out a long sigh of relief. Hearing Fang Chenyi’s question, he puffed out his chest proudly. "Heh, what’s wrong? Scared now? That’s right, I’m the vice-president of the Yan University Taekwondo club. Alright, if you’re scared, just apologize and you can leave!"
Even now, Yi Zhihou was still putting up a strong front for the sake of his so-called "face."
’Apologize? Heh.’ The words almost made Fang Chenyi laugh out of sheer exasperation. ’Where does this guy get off saying something like that?’
"Heh, apologize? Are you worthy? Alright, let’s cut the crap. Since you’re the vice-president of the Taekwondo club, that makes things simple. I’m not one to hold a grudge, but I do have a... special hobby."
At this, Fang Chenyi paused. Instantly, everyone’s gaze turned strange.
Seeing that the crowd seemed to have gotten the wrong idea, Fang Chenyi quickly stopped trying to build suspense and said directly:
"You see, I have a hobby. I enjoy challenging martial arts schools, especially Taekwondo dojos. How about this? I happen to have some free time, so I’ve decided to come and wreck your Taekwondo club today!"
BUZZ!
The moment Fang Chenyi’s words fell, the surrounding crowd exploded.
"Wow! This guy isn’t just handsome, he’s so domineering when he talks! I’m in love, I’m in love!"
"Holy crap, did I hear that right? What did this guy say? He’s going to challenge their dojo? No way..."
"Tch, what do you know? It’s obvious this guy is just getting revenge. With his money, he can just go hire some expert later. He’ll have no trouble crushing Yi Zhihou and his crew."
...
"Young man, don’t talk nonsense. Come on, you should hurry up and come back to the security office with us!"
At this point, the security captain standing to the side stepped forward again. He glanced at Fang Chenyi. Although he was tall and handsome, his build wasn’t particularly muscular.
Challenging a dojo wasn’t a beauty contest where the most handsome person wins. When fists started flying, this kid definitely wouldn’t stand a chance. Even if he could beat one or two of them, the Taekwondo club had over a hundred members.
Fang Chenyi hadn’t expected the security captain to be such a good person. This was already the third time he had spoken up to warn him.
After giving him another grateful look, Fang Chenyi turned his gaze back to Yi Zhihou. "Alright, now scram and get ready. I’ll be there in ten minutes sharp to kick your Taekwondo club’s sign in half!"
After speaking, he ignored everyone and strode towards his sports car.
Seeing this, the surrounding crowd hurriedly parted to make a path for him.
It wasn’t until they watched Fang Chenyi get into the silver-white supercar that the crowd began to snap out of their daze.
"Holy crap, this dude isn’t actually going to challenge them, is he? The Taekwondo club doesn’t just have Yi Zhihou as an expert. Their president is a real exchange student from the Stick Country, right? I hear he’s already a master at the green belt level!"
"What’s the point of guessing? We’re free anyway, let’s just go over and see for ourselves!"
Conversations like this filled the entire area. Not only that, but some people even took out their phones and started calling their dorm-mates and classmates to come watch the show.
In no time, the news that a handsome, rich guy was going to challenge the Taekwondo club spread throughout all of Yan University.
’Are you kidding? Something like a dojo challenge... I’ve lived for over twenty years and have never seen one before. Now it’s about to happen right in front of my eyes, how could I not go watch?’
And so, any student with free time began to frantically rush towards the Taekwondo club.
As for why Fang Chenyi made this decision, it certainly wasn’t on a whim.
