Although repentant, the angels had won the matrix which could solve their immediate problem. Samanuel knew he had made a mistake in his bet, but he knew he still had time; he had to find a way to fix the relationship with Andrew.

The fight against Purgatorio was an opportunity, but for now, he returned with his companions to his territory. Andrew, now alone with Crhono, asked, "Will it bring problems?"

"I will keep an eye on him, but I don’t think they will try anything against you. They will surely start trying to improve their image in front of you, but, even so, it is better to be cautious," Crhono said seriously.

"The others will ask about how to achieve divinity, right?" Andrew asked and Crhono answered, "It is most likely." Andrew was silent for a moment and then said, "I do not have that ability. This would leave us on bad terms with everyone."

Crhono smiled and said, "It is possible, but none of us will do anything to harm him. At least not for now when the threat of the fallen god and Purgatory is near." After that, they talked for a while and Crhono left.

The demigods who were in Zaros’ mansion were waiting for the angels to ask them about their meeting, but when they noticed them leaving, their plans were thwarted.

The next day, the demigods visited Cannes Palace again. The reception was the same as the day before. Andrew did not receive them in person and he did not grant each one a private audience either.

"Everyone wants to ask for the same thing, so let’s discuss it quickly," Andrew said a little annoyed. After his meeting with the angels and knowing what these demigods wanted, he was in a bad mood.

They believed it was another strategy of Crhono, but it was not the case, Andrew was really upset. These guys were arrogant and selfish, which Andrew did not like.

It wasn’t the first time that someone wanted to take advantage of him and he despised those people, but not wanting to create enemies at this time, when they needed to be united, he decided to put up with his annoyance.

The demigods looked at each other, not knowing what to say. It’s true that they all wanted the same thing, but none of them dared to ask, because they didn’t want to bother Andrew and lose their opportunities.

Andrew, who didn’t want to continue with this farce, said, "I know that you want the secret of divinity and unfortunately I have to disappoint you because I don’t know it. My path is different from yours and I don’t have the ability to help you."

His words were sincere, although they didn’t believe him. Andrew didn’t try hard to convince them, because he didn’t care. Even so, the demigods accepted his words for the moment.

They believed that Andrew was on guard against them thanks to Crhono and that was why he had told them that, but they understood that it wasn’t the time to push. Well, at least most of them thought that.

Draneg was different. Although he is an ancient demigod who helped in the war against the fallen god, his personality is dark and his mouth sharp, so he does not hold back and says, "What a waste of time."

His words surprised everyone, but it was the next words that startled more than one, "To think that we gave you so much importance, when you are just Crhono’s puppet."

The old dragon and Andrew instantly became upset. The aura that shot out from their bodies made everyone break out in a cold sweat, including Draneg who did not expect Andrew to be so powerful.

They have the conception that, although within their temples the god candidates and the gods are powerful, they did not think they were so powerful. They got the same surprise as Samanuel and the angels the day before.

"How presumptuous of you to say such stupid things. Be thankful that you have made contributions or this would be your grave," Andrew said in a cold and murderous tone. Even a powerful demigod like Draneg trembled in fear.

Silence fell over the office and Crhono was the one to break it by saying, "I think there is nothing more to discuss." Draneg did not want to stay any longer and left quickly.

He knew he could die if he stayed. The other demigods, on the other hand, were calmer and said their goodbyes calmly before leaving. It wasn’t that they weren’t scared, but that they hadn’t committed an offense like Draneg.

In their minds, they thought the same as him, but they didn’t express it, so they believed that they should gain Crhono’s trust before asking for their requests again. Again, the old dragon and Andrew remained in the office.

"Now everyone has a bad impression of us," Andrew said with a sigh. He didn’t regret the way he acted, but he didn’t like the situation either.

"Certainly, we have to keep an eye on them. Lugia and Vaelyra will come to this city as support," Crhono said and explained his plan to deal with these people. Andrew was surprised that Crhono mentioned Lugia and Vaelyra.

Crhono understanding his thoughts said, "Certainly, I have ulterior motives, but I won’t force them. Lugia is an additional protection and Vaelyra a possible wife, but as I said I won’t force it."

Andrew smiled bitterly upon hearing that Vaelyra came with the intention of being his wife. He hadn’t dealt with the nearby vampires and now a dragon joins him.

Crhono seeing his expression smiled and said, "Don’t stress yourself out. She didn’t receive that order. She comes as Lugia’s assistant. If they come closer it’s great, but you shouldn’t take it as an imposition."

"So she doesn’t know about your plan, but you tell me, which will make me feel bad," said Andrew reproaching the old dragon. Crhono laughed loudly and didn’t say anything. Andrew could only sigh, but he didn’t pursue the subject. Crhono had been honest, so he was much better than the demigods he met yesterday and today, so he let it go.

With the talks over, Crhono left and then Andrew’s meeting with his wives, guardians, and apostles began. He didn’t hide anything from them and explained everything that had happened. Enjoy new adventures from novelbuddy

He also told them that things had developed this way because it was his will, not because of Crhono’s plan. He didn’t want them to blame Crhono for the possible problems they would have, since it was all his decision.

Still, they had to create countermeasures. Quickly, they planned strategies to train and get stronger, since they were still very weak. Andrew also told them that Zaros and Elidyr would help them.

He also informed them of Crhono’s plans by bringing Lugia and Vaelyra, which surprised everyone, but just as much as the story of what had happened at the meetings with the demigods.

Likewise, at Zaros’ mansion, Crhono was telling Zaros and Elidyr what had happened and the measures that would be taken to protect Andrew. The war hadn’t even started yet and they already had to watch their allies’ backs.
