Rise of The Anti God-Chapter 733: Realistic Expectation
A/N: Please read the since there was a mixup between this chapter and the last.
Gunner was confident since he already knew these four women had weaker cultivation than him. Without even the help of his friends, he could defeat them all...one by one, of course. This was why he proposed a duel to guarantee his victory.
His cultivation was at the third level of the Profound Ethereal Realm, while the strongest among these four women was Valentina, who was only at the first level of the Profound Ethereal Realm. The other three were at the Late Level of the Heaven Ethereal Realm, while two of his comrades were at the First Level of the Profound Ethereal Realm, and Lita was at the Late Level of the Heaven Ethereal Realm.
No matter how he thought about it, there was no way these four could beat his team.
"Is that all? Let's get it over with then," Valentina said without any hesitation while her three sisters also nodded, feeling that these foolish people would only understand after clashing fists with them.
Gunner was a bit startled since he didn't expect them to agree to them so easily. He was expecting them to show a great level of reluctance and nervousness since he was sure they could sense that his team was stronger than them.
Then where was this confidence coming from? It didn't seem like these four were faking it based on their expressions and body language.
But then it struck him that he was overthinking this. These four had lived in luxury and knew nothing about putting their life on the line, and so they must have no combat experience.
He smirked, thinking that they must be feeling overconfident because of their upbringing. Still, just to make things safer for him, he said, "Just one more condition to make things fair for you all. If someone from your or our team gets defeated, then someone else who has won their duel can take over their defeated friend."
Reva said with an impassive look, "Fine with us. Now can we begin already?" Reva didn't want to waste time with these idiots anymore.
"Whoa. So excited already? Okay. Choose your duel partners. I will be fighting you, of course," Gunner said as he pointed at Valentina, who simply gave a casual shrug as if she couldn't care less about which of these dumb fellows were going to fight her.
Lita was quick to point at Lily and said, "I will be battling you, heh," Lita felt that Lily was the weakest, especially due to her soft-spoken nature and her innocent appearance.
Since she was the weakest among her team, wouldn't it be fair that she battled against the weakest among these four?
Lily blinked her eyes as she nodded with a smile, "Okay. I look forward to a fair duel," Lily said to be polite.
Lita scoffed, seeing how gullible she was, and couldn't wait to show these spoiled women how it's done here.
Becca tied up her ginger hair as she looked at Reva and said with a conceited smile, "I will be taking you on."
Reva's expression didn't change as she gave a brief nod, making Becca click her tongue, thinking that this woman was putting up airs and planned to show her place.
Milo had a flirty smile on his face as he looked at Yuria and said, "I will be battling you, sweetheart. It's okay to surrender since I might forget to hold back in the heat of the battle."
Yuria playfully twirled the ends of her amber hair and said with a smile, "We will soon see who needs to surrender."
Gunner scoffed, seeing how all these women were acting as if they already had this duel in the bag.
But unbeknownst to all of them, the Station Lord, Kena, was watching this little confrontation from the terrace of her building.
Alex slowly walked up to her as she asked while looking at the large gathering around the place where this confrontation was taking place, "Why didn't you send some guards to break this up? This isn't like you. The newcomers aren't used to these things."
Kena placed her hands on her back as she said with a subtle smile, "That is what you think. But I feel like these four women are more than what they seem. Even if they seem to be coming from noble backgrounds, I think they are tough enough to handle small things like this. This will also be a good opportunity as well."
Alex pulled together her brows as she asked, "You mean a good opportunity to let our people see how good they are?"
"Other than that, we would also get to know where they stand, right? If they can't handle something as small as this, then I would consider it that maybe I expected too much from them," Kena said as she looked on.
"But Gunner and his team are stronger than them. Except for Lita, the other three can simply use their ethereal manifestation to wear them all down. Maybe Valentina might still give a fight. Still, I don't think it's realistic you expect them to win," Alex stated her opinion.
Kena shook her head as she said, "It doesn't matter who wins or loses. When someone fights, you get to learn a lot of things about them. It's better than talking in some ways."
Farah appointed herself as the judge and stood in the middle as she announced, "The first duel will be between Lily and Lita. Both of you may begin!"
Lita let out a haughty scoff as she stretched her arms and said, "Come on, girl. Show this senior sister what you got. No need to be scared."
Lily didn't say anything but had a focused expression as her eyes began to glow with a pure, radiant light.
Lita raised one of her brows with a confused look, but suddenly Lily's eyes began to glow with a brilliant white light to the point Lita suddenly grimaced as she cried out in pain while covering her eyes, "Aaargh!! My eyes!!"
