Rise Of The Infinite Sovereign-Chapter 397: Musaduval Sathar
Chapter 397: Musaduval Sathar
With attack, Ezra’s energy reserves entered critical levels, so was dispelled.
He had to quickly land in front of the elder building, sitting his sore body on one of the displaced blocks lying on the floor.
As the explosion settled, a scream erupted.
"DAMNIT!"
The ent screamed, killing the embers on her body as she stood, and began releasing far higher levels of energy, radiating killing intent thick enough to be seen by the naked eye.
No longer holding back, she intended to kill Ezra at all costs.
Just as she advanced in strides towards him, a large silhouette appeared in front of her, blocking her way.
The orc stood in her path with his palm raised.
"Stop Ivesa, this fight is over"
His words only flared her anger and increased her killing intent.
"Move out of the way, muscle freak. Else you want to die as well"
In response, the orc simply got into a battle stance.
Just as Ivesa, the ent, was about to launch an attack, another voice rang out.
"Ivesa, stop"
"Caverra?" At the words of her best friend, Ivesa faltered, coming to a pause for ten seconds before relenting with deep sigh.
Looking beyond the Orc, she stares Ezra in the eye, to which the latter stares back unamused.
"Tsk" clicking her tongue, Ivesa turns away and walks towards Caverra, burying a grudge deep within her heart.
She might be able to move personally, but she was far from being out of moves!
’Just. Wait!’ she thought, clenching her fists hard.
This humiliation would be paid back in full.
That, she promised.
With the tense atmosphere settled, the other Nascent’s looked towards Ezra’s figure, but their gaze carried much different meanings than before.
’Unbelievable’
Avaken was the most shocked, his plans thoroughly disrupted.
’But no matter’ he thought. ’I’ll have you dealt with in the secret realm’
Beyond the pre-nominal grudge he held earlier, now, Avaken’s mindset was now to nip a bud and eliminate a troublesome competitor before he could sprout.
A routine measure.
He could now glimpse the reason why a Transcendent was nominated as an Elder.
’All the more reason to get rid of him’
But he dare not underestimate his opponent.
’This is going take a little something more’
Like that, he started planning how best to ensure Ezra would be thoroughly ensnared and killed within the secret realm.
’It would be good to also dig up his background just in case’
"Can I go and sleep now?"
Ezra’s voice broke him out of his reverie.
Taking a moment to think, Avaken replies.
"Surely" flashing a smile as he throws him a set of keys. "This is the key to your room"
"Understood" nodding absentmindedly, Ezra takes slow strides into the destroyed building.
Heading upstairs, he finds his designated room intact.
Entering, he locks the door and activates , entering his universe.
There was no way he would feel safe staying in the same building with a person highly motivated to kill him.
Using , he pops right into the room he and his mom grew up in, laying on the bed carelessly.
Here, he begins looking over the battle.
’I was lucky’ he acknowledged.
If Ivesa hadn’t underestimated him, even his fire spear would have been easily cancelled out.
Besides, she hadn’t used any real power, relying only on the bloodline ability which allowed her to control wooden vines.
And with just that, she had pushed him to the edge.
’I’m still incredibly weak’
Zydrax told him of the difference in rank, but experiencing first hand was something else.
Despite this, Ezra’s lips were stretched into a wide smile.
Because no matter what.
’I won’
That thought was comforting.
After ten minutes going over the battle, Ezra falls asleep.
With his energy levels critical and his body sore, it was long overdue.
Waking up hours later, Ezra finds himself completely refreshed, his energy had recovered and the soreness in his body was gone.
Taking his time, Ezra headed back to his room in the elder residence.
"You’ve awoken"
Unlocking the door, he finds the orc standing in front of it.
Wondering whether to run away, the orc spoke further.
"No need to worry, I’m not here to cause harm"
"...I find that hard to believe" replied Ezra.
"It’s true" the orc insisted. "Earlier I thought you were weak and I despise weak people. Now that I see that you’re strong"
"We can be best friends!" the orc exclaims, flexing his muscles.
Blinking, Ezra nods. "Is that so?"
"It is most certainly so" the orc answers, looking at him with a wide vibrant smile.
Ezra could feel the sincerity in the orc’s words, and judging from his earlier actions of stopping Ivesa, it seemed this fellow truly meant no harm.
But something bothered him.
"For how long have you been standing there?"
"Not too long" the orc responds, waving his hands in a lazy manner. "It’s nothing"
Nothing at his feet dented in the floor, Ezra made a guess.
’Has he been here since I went to sleep?’
A moment later, he decided to forgo the matter.
"Say, what is your name?"
"My name is Musaduval Sathar"
"...I’m just going to call you Musad"
"That’s fine as well" Musad replied. "Now, why don’t we head to a better place to talk?"
"Talk about what?"
"What else?" the orc answers, getting in pose. "Muscles!"
"...."
’I guess there’s a reason why he’s called muscle freak’
Ezra shrugged.
Musad seemed like the simple and straightforward type, so he saw no harm in going.
Besides, it was a good thing to get to know a Nascent.
Walking downstairs, he finds that the building was back to looking good as new.
So much so that he doubted his eyes.
If someone told him this place was smashed apart just hours ago, he wouldn’t believe them.
To his right was the door, to his left were the two women, Ivesa and Caverra, having tea.
Upon noticing him, an eerie silence set in.
Again, Ivesa stares hard at Ezra, and again, he stares back casually for a seconds before turning and walking out the door with Musad in tow.
Upon their exit.
*Break*
The cup in Ivesa’s hands shatters.
"Calm down" says Caverra.
"I hate! His face!" Ivesa proclaims.
Furious all over again, Ivesa looks to Caverra.
"Help me" she says. "I have a plan but I need your assistance to ensure his gotten rid of"
Placing her cup down, Caverra takes a breath.
"I’m listening"
Ivesa lit up. "Really?"
Caverra nods slightly. "It is only right that I help get rid of whatever is troubling my best friend"
"Thank you" Ivesa replies, calming her fury.
"So this is what I have in mind"
Like so, the two begin to plot.

Meanwhile, Ezra and Musad were now seated and had begun conversing.
Talking about muscles, they each shared their experiences training their bodies, providing multiple insights as they understood each other’s perspective.
Beyond that, they both started talking about their fighting styles since they were both gladiators.
As they talked, Musad asked...
"Why didn’t you use your weapon during the fight?"
Bringing Ezra to awareness that he had collected his beloved weapon even two months after the stipulated time.
He had visited once more during the last months, but even then, Galvan warned Skyfall was not ready to be wielded.
Extinguishing the astral energy within Skyfall was taking much more effort than expected, and that increased Galvan work time exponentially.
As rushed work would only bring about haphazard results, Ezra relented.
He’d rather wait than regret his impatience later.
The thought of heading to Cretin right now to check on it briefly came to mind, he decided against it.
"It’s got damaged. It’s being repaired"
Musad nods, "A pity. I would’ve liked to see it"
I’ll bring it for the next expedition.
The days passed like this.
Musad and Ezra got closer to one another as they conversed for hours on end, exchanging insights on different topics.
The status difference between Transcendent and Nascent faded completely between the two.
The fact that they were both gladiators also helped in that they had interest in similar topics.
By the fourth day, they were sparing. With Musad teaching him different tips and tricks in high level battles.
Things like what approach to take when fighting mages or psychics, as well as other ways he could put his ability to use.
Here, Ezra learns what kind of perception they had to his powers.
’So, they think I just passed through the vines’
By using in conjunction with the Nascents had been misled regarding the nature of his abilities.
’Good’
The more the enemies didn’t know, the better for him.
Additionally, Ezra was also able to source vital information from Musad.
Such as the names of talented few among the upcoming Transcendents. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
Basically people to watch out for.
Most of them were of rank five or six and in total, they numbered sixty.
Marked as the next generation of Nascents, each one held remarkable talent in a particular area.
Whether it be cultivation speed, cultivation foundation, strong offensive or defensive capabilities while others held special bloodline abilities.
While he’d read up on twenty of them from the notes of the red dragon clan, it seemed their intelligence was lacking as it had contained nothing on the remaining forty individuals mentioned.
Also, while the secret realm this time was exclusive to Transcendents, these three Nascents had come as supervisors for their set of Transcendents.
Which meant each set of Transcendents held someone remarkable.
As the days passed, some schemed and some trained.
In a blink, ten days passed. The day for the expedition had arrived.
