Ruin Wielder-Chapter 29: I am the danger.
"Well, do you know how many banquets my brothers attend?"
Liyun asked. He wanted Ergou to be more than just muscle—the man was loyal, so teaching him a royal trick or two wouldn’t hurt.
"A lot, as they are older and are taking on many responsibilities."
Ergou replied. Court politics bored him, but he still had information about the other princes. After all, they all threatened his master’s position.
"Yes, many banquets... How many did Father make me go to?"
Liyun asked again, shifting, trying to find a comfortable spot in Li Mei’s soft body to rest his head. It seemed impossible.
"Only this one."
Ergou said. Other princes were always hosting or attending foreign banquets and receiving guests, while this prince rarely received anyone. There was even a guest ban on his courtyard.
"It’s like this. Father sends me where he needs chaos—when he needs to punish but has no excuse. When I go there, he always gets an excuse. This Wang Mu is a thieving bastard, I know a thief when I see one, trust me. "
Liyun chuckled. That’s right. He had figured out why his father did this. He was too dangerous, the emperor wouldn’t let normal guests into his courtyard, afraid Liyun would kill them.
"Master, are you saying the Emperor uses you as a weapon?"
"You’re wrong. He uses me as a perfect weapon. It’s like a win-win situation. I like chaos. Well actually, I only know how to make chaos."
Liyun said. He was suffering from success—because of his system, he had traumatized the Emperor so much that the man couldn’t think anything good abouthim anymore.
*SNIFF*
*SNIFF*
Li Mei’s tears, which had stopped, began to drop like rain again. Even Ergou gritted his teeth in anger.
Liyun saw both of them and tilted his head, confused.
"W... Why are you guys crying and getting angry?"
He asked, confusion in his tone.
"I... It’s so unfair for the Emperor to treat you like this, my prince."
Li Mei said, then hugged tiny Liyun tightly between her bosom. Ergou nodded his head, still a bit mad for some reason.
"Hey, you guys don’t understand, I... I am not in danger."
"I am the danger."
"You’re so cute, my prince."

Luo Yan sat quietly in her room, her hands clasped together as confusion filled her mind. The Luo family was in chaos—the clan elders were leaving one after another, the Sword Mountain Sect disciple was still being treated by the family doctor, and she herself didn’t even know what to do anymore.
"My Prince treated me so well... Sigh, I didn’t even get to marry the fool. I don’t even know where I belong now."
*PSSHHHHT*
A faint whistle came from the window. Luo Yan turned her head sharply—a figure was crouched outside.
It was a man.
He was wounded all over, his face swollen beyond recognition, his lips puffed like two blimps ready to float away, and his nose bent slightly to the side.
"Who are you?"
Luo Yan asked carefully, her hand inching toward the small drawer beside her, ready to pull out a dagger.
"It’s me... Tian."
Luo Tian’s voice was rough, almost muffled by his swollen face.
"I don’t have much time, Yan’er. Go to Prince Liyun. He... he will keep you safe."
Every word seemed to hurt him. His Qi roots were damaged, his breathing uneven, but his will pushed him forward.
" I... "
Luo Yan opened her mouth to speak, but before she could even finish the first word, Luo Tian was already gone—vanishing into the night, limping, battered, and broken, yet forcing himself onward.
"I...I smell my prince. Is he nearby?"
Luo Yan suddenly smelled the air, then slowly walked out of her courtyard.

Tang Palace.
Emperor Tang was signing some documents, he cracked his neck and went to the window. He was feeling tired, but as long as he was in the document signing room, no one was allowed to disturb him.
ZhenLong then grabbed a glass of water calmly from the desk and stood beside the window. There was a long gash in the city, the whole capital was pacing around, and many houses had been torn and destroyed.
"Sigh! He overdid it, again."
The emperor sighed, then pulled out a futon from a nearby closet, removed his crown and robe, and lay there to sleep.
"Not Today"
Outside the document signing room, there was a huge crowd awaiting the Emperor to come out because a huge thing had transpired: the Luo Family wedding banquet had been a ruin, and the Luo Family attacked the True Disciple of the Sword Mountain Sect.
From ministers to war generals, all await the emperor’s decree. The whole city has become a mess overnight. A Soul Transformation Level expert has made a move inside the capital, which was shocking.

"Li Mei, Go back to the palace. Go slow, and when asked, tell them the prince is asleep, he will report tomorrow in the morning."
Liyun said, then floated out of the carriage, as the system had been reset, and it was time to reap some benefit while he still had the chance.
"Ergou, follow me."
Liyun said and then sped towards the Luo Mansion, Ergou, like a ghost, followed him from behind without making a sound.

Ximen was resting and faking his injury, of course, he was not that hurt. Sure, he got some recoil, but he was not that hurt, but he lost his protective talisman, which is why he needs to pretend until the Luo family coughs up something valuable.
"Damn that bastard, Was he possessed?"
Ximen said while gritting his teeth, the memory of him getting beaten up was still fresh in his mind.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Who is it?"
Ximen asked, and his mood was terrible.
"Young Master, it’s me."
Chen Tao’s old voice came from outside, Ximen shook his head and went to open the door.
Ximen sighed and dragged himself up, smoothing his robe. The air still carried the faint trace of Qi from the earlier battle, and his nerves were frayed.
*BAAM!*
Before his hand even touched the handle, the door exploded inward, kicked clean off its hinges. The wooden frame cracked apart, fragments scattering like arrows.
A gust of spiritual pressure rolled in with the intruder, shaking the lanterns and making the curtains flutter.
Dust swirled in the doorway, the dim light outlining a lone figure stepping through the haze—calm, cold, and radiating killing intent so sharp it cut through the air itself.
Ximen’s pupils shrank. For a moment, his breath caught in his throat.
The person who entered the room was actually not Chen Tao, it was someone who was very tall.
"Who—"
Before Ximen could even finish the word, a sharp chop landed on his neck. His eyes rolled back instantly as his body went limp, collapsing to the floor without a sound.
"Alright, open the window and stand outside. With the commotion, people will rush here soon."
Liyun’s voice came calmly as he floated into the room, his golden sleeves swaying lightly. His smile was small but cold, eyes gleaming with quiet amusement as he looked down at Ximen sprawled on the floor like a fallen beast.
Ergou nodded his head and went outside the window. He then looked at the moon. Although his face doesn’t have any emotion, he was actually quite happy, his days are not boring anymore.
