S.P.E.C.T.O.R-Chapter 526: Name change complete

While people all over the universe were hyped for the release of Earth fashion that had been announced to be two days after the release of the photos, no one was expecting Erkath Fashion to post even more announcements on Xer-verse and their other social media accounts.

After Rowena had proposed Adam’s suggestion to Erkath, the latter had readily accepted before requesting that Rowena record a short promotional video of the earring in action, along with some photos of the earring itself and her wearing it, so that they could post them online.

The morning of Lorelie’s first concert in the Felidae Galaxy, which was to be held in the same stadium that she performed as part of the UMB Cup opening ceremony on Felidae Seven. Spector’s AI construct suddenly appeared on a holographic screen and made a sudden announcement while they were all eating breakfast together.

“The Universal Company Registration and Management Body have authorised and completed the name change request for Royal Entertainment.

The company name has been successfully changed to Spector Entertainment.”

“About time,” Lorelie, who sat beside Adam, complained before adding, “I was starting to think they had forgotten or there was an issue.”

“It did take a surprisingly long time,” Rowena remarked with a frown.

“Any idea why it took so long, Spector?” Adam asked.

“Affirmative. It seems Drotas Entertainment logged a complaint regarding the name change.” Spector replied.

“Drotas Entertainment! Why?” Lorelie asked with a frown.

“It seems they logged a complaint regarding the fact that the owner of the company is your boyfriend,” Spector replied before continuing. “According to the official complaint, they are quoting the law set by the Universal Entertainment Authority that an active artist can’t own their own entertainment company.”

“Are they stupid? It’s not Lorelie who owns the company but Adam,” Tephe asked.

“I guess they're worried that Lorelie will influence the company since she is dating the owner,” Aphrodite remarked before smirking and adding, “With good reason.”

“Except it’s not only Diva Loreli, but Diva Rowena and Diva Aphrodite who will influence the company's growth and direction as they advise the owner,” Stacey, who sat on Adam’s other side, remarked with an evil grin.

“What the Universal Entertainment Authority doesn’t know won’t hurt them, granddaughter,” Rowena replied while mirroring her granddaughter's evil grin.

“So why did the Universal Company Registration and Management Body still give the ok even though there was a complaint?” Adam asked.

“After conducting an investigation, they came to the same result you all did,” Spector replied before continuing. “Adam is not a recognised universal celebrity and is therefore fine to own the company.

Also, they added that Adam’s race is not registered with the Universal Senate, so while his company does fall under universal law since it’s a registered company, he does not.”

“That is such a loophole,” Tephe remarked.

“I was about to say that,” Adam replied while smiling at her.

“I know,” Tephe replied while sticking her tongue out at him.

Adam laughed at Tephe’s antics before asking, “How is it possible for me to own a company when I’m not registered as a universal citizen?”

“Because you are a citizen of the universe. While your race might not be part of the Universal Senate, you yourself exist in the universe, so you are recognised as a part of it,” Rowena replied.

“That’s not very… exact,” Adam replied.

“Well, no law is exact and there are always loopholes in them for the rich and powerful to exploit if they know how. You just happen to be the sole exception able to use this loophole, “Rowena replied while shrugging.

“Don’t complain,” Lorelie stated while poking Adam’s cheek.

“I’m not, I just think it’s a rather glaring loophole,” Adam replied.

“Babe, your entire existence in the known universe is a loophole,” Stacey remarked while poking his other cheek.

“Thanks.. I think,” Adam replied.

“So, can we sign with your company now, please, babe?” Lorelie sweetly asked as she ran one of her index fingers down his chest.

“Do you even need to ask?” Adam replied before asking, “Spector. How do we go about doing this?”

Before Spector could respond, Rowena spoke up and said, “I should start a call with Kasumi since it’s time.”

After she finished speaking, she used her uniband for a moment before another large holographic screen appeared, showing Kasumi’s beautiful appearance.

“Rowena, is it time?” Kasumi asked with a beautiful smile.

“It is,” Rowena replied with a smile of her own before saying, “But first introductions. “I’m sure you recognise Lorelie and Aphrodite.

“A pleasure to meet you all,” Kasumi said politely before focusing on Adam and studying him with a critical stare.

As Kasumi finished speaking, a smaller holographic screen appeared before Lorelie, Rowena, Aphrodite and even Kasumi, who raised an eyebrow in surprise as Spector said.

“Please read through the prepared contract and ask any questions you have. If you find the contract terms agreeable, please go ahead and sign the contract.”

The four women nodded before Rowena stated, “Kasumi and I will naturally have to leave Dynamic Entertainment before we can sign.”

“Will that be an issue?” Adam asked curiously.

“No. As long as we have the early termination fee available in her bank, then there is no problem with us leaving them and signing with Spector Entertainment immediately,” Rowena explained.

“That’s good,” Adam replied before looking at Kasumi and saying, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Kasumi. Rowena has told me much about how great an actress you are and I look forward to working with you.”

“The feeling is mutual, Adam. Rowena speaks nothing but praise about you,” Kasumi replied.

“Then she must have left out much,” Adam replied.

“Such as?” Kasumi asked curiously.

“Well, for one thing, this will be the first company I own, so don’t expect too much of me,” Adam honestly replied.

“Thank you for your candour,” Kasumi said with a smile before continuing, It’s rare to find owners of major companies that will so readily admit their flaws.”

“So that was a test?” Adam asked with a chuckle.

“Not really. I’m just trying to get a feel for the type of man my new boss and Rowena’s boyfriend is,” Kasumi replied while covering her mouth to politely chuckle before she added.

“But seeing as it’s an entertainment company you own and you have two divas as your girlfriends, I’m fairly sure you will be alright.”
