Saving The Villainous Monster From The Male Lead-Chapter 139 - 138: His Ignorance
Eleanore tripped and fell on the ground. Her breathing was heavy, and her eyes were overflowing with tears. Her body was shivering unstoppably, and she could no longer take it. This feeling was so strange, as if someone was hitting her heart strongly with a hammer and killing her with every hit. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"Grand Duchess." Celine came to her.
She held her by her arm and helped her back on her feet. "Are you okay?" She asks.
As if the question was a trigger, she started feeling dizzy. Maybe the alcohol in that wine was acting up. She pressed her fingers to her temples.
"Do you want me to call the carriage?" She asked, and Eleanore simply nodded.
The gatekeepers, called the carriage of Lancaster mansion and Celine carefully helped Eleanore climb it.

Caelestis’ attention turned to running Eleanore, while he was still in the middle of the conversation with Stella. He had never had such an interesting and immersive conversation with Stella, until Eleanore ruined it all by running past the hall like she couldn’t breathe.
When he thought about the part where she couldn’t breathe, he remembered her asthma and quickly tried to leave her behind but was stopped by Stella.
"Where are you going?" She asked, after confirming that Hael had followed his sister outside.
"Eleanore just ran away, didn’t you see?" Caelestis couldn’t understand the meaning behind her question.
"I saw, but should I care?" Stella just had to buy time, until those two siblings could deal with whatever grievances they have with each other.
On the night of their wedding, Stella had vowed to completely destroy the reason behind this rift between them. That reason was standing right in front of her. If she could get rid of Caelestis. Wouldn’t everything go back to normal?
"Aren’t you her friend?" He asks, puzzled by that question she asked.
"Aren’t you her husband? Yet you took my hand and gave up your first dance with her." She helps him remember what he had done, before he could question her friendship.
Caelestis clenched his jaw and shoved her hand away from his wrist. He turned and left realizing what he had done wrong. At that time he was so caught up in his never-ending heartbreak that he didn’t even notice that he had hurt her unknowingly. Or was it intentional? Caelestis couldn’t quite differentiate.
When he rushed out of the ball, he found Eleanore nowhere. He even called out her name a few times and someone heard it.
Celine walked to the grand duke, after she had just sent off his wife. "Greeting, grand duke. The grand duchess left."
"Left? How? When?" He was confused, and a little scared too. If she had gotten an asthma attack, leaving her alone would be dangerous.
"Just now."
"Was she fine?" His question left Celine thinking about her answer. How should she answer this? The duchess, who was once her lady, looked sad, broken and unwell. The expression she was wearing is difficult to put in words. She didn’t have any health problems, but she looked like she could die any moment because of the pain in her heart.
"I do not think she was fine." She speaks up, however before she could complete her sentence, Caelestis almost flew past her, when he saw the carriage from Lancaster Mansion standing at the gate.
"Eleanore?" He called her, as he opened the door, but there was no one inside.
"The Madam ordered me to come pick you up instead of my brother, My lord." The driver says. He had been sent a message by the knight who had accompanied the couple to the reception party
"I see. Let’s return to the mansion."
Caelestis rushed into his room, as soon as the carriage pulled over at the entrance. He dashed open the door and found it empty. His room was never so empty. It was always dull but never felt as empty as it looks today.
He checked the wardrobe and found Eleanore’s clothes, her lying bags that had arrived yesterday. Everything was missing and so was she.
’Did she perhaps not return yet? But that’s not possible.’
He sat on the dull grey couch at the end of his bed, when his eyes fell on a brown envelope. He opened its seal and found the Marriage certificate; he had made so much fuss about. That’s when she remembered her words from when she agreed to get the document passed in the royal palace.
"I want to move out of this room." She had said.
Caelestis quickly rushed to the stairs, on the third floor where she lived before their marriage. He found Marina sitting on the floor, outside the door with a small torch lamp, sitting beside her.
She noticed Caelestis and quickly got up. "My lord." She greeted him.
"Is Eleanore here?" He asked.
"Yes, the Madam has fallen asleep."
Caelestis took a step forward, but Marina stopped him. "The Madam asked me to not let anyone in, not even you." Her eyes were filled with a mixture of disgust and furry for him.
He sighed on hearing that and turned to Marina. He expected that much of a reaction. Eleanore must be very angry with him. "Is she fine?"
"Yes, just a bit tired." Marina’s head remained low as she answered his questions.
"I see." Caelestis turns to leave, when a loud scream from the room stops him.
He doesn’t think twice before pushing the knob and opening the door to see what was wrong.

Caelestis could never digest the fact that his love was taken away by none other than his best friend in the original.
