School Hunk or Childhood Sweetheart?-Chapter 412 - 413: The Atmosphere Has Been Set
Situ Jing, watching their interaction, smiled and said, "I have already prepared the room for you and the baby. I’ll take you upstairs in a bit to see if you like it, any dissatisfaction just let me know, I’ll get someone to change it."
"Thank you, Mom."
"I will take Yiyi to see." Sheng Yan, offered voluntarily.
"You should start calling her sister-in-law!" Situ Jing reminded him.
Sheng Yan pretended not to hear, "Yiyi, let’s go quickly!"
"This child..." Situ Jing laughed yet felt helpless.
Shen Weiyi pinched the little one’s smooth face, then took his hand and said, "It doesn’t matter, Little Bao can call her whatever he likes."
The room Situ Jing had prepared for them was originally Sheng Ting’s, but it had been redecorated: curtains and furniture were replaced, walls renovated to the now trendy light luxury style, and everything was changed to warm colors—the once stark minimalist room became sophisticated and cozy, emitting a warm and healing vibe.
It must be said, Situ Jing had a great taste.
She really liked the room.
After visiting her room, Sheng Yan eagerly pulled her to see the next room—an infant room.
The room was small, but well-lit, with soft carpet laid throughout, and there wasn’t a single piece of angular furniture; even the corners and doors were covered with collision protection strips.
It must be said, the one who arranged the room really put a lot of effort into it, though there were a bit too many pink items.
Sheng Yan, pointing at the pink furniture, proudly said to Shen Weiyi, "I chose these for my little niece." Moreover, the baby’s room was very close to his own. After knowing he would be getting a niece, he had moved his room directly across from the nursery.
This way, he could take care of his little niece anytime.
"Really? She will definitely love it," Shen Weiyi looked down at his belly.
The atmosphere built up to this point—it almost seemed mandatory for her to have a daughter.
Two months later, when Sheng Yan was brimming with anticipation for the arrival of his little niece, he was thunderstruck to be told that the niece had turned into a nephew.
As the due date approached, Shen Weiyi’s body noticeably became clumsier, and aside from daily walks, she barely went out.
One day, Shen Weiyi was walking in the yard when Sheng Yan watched over her. Suddenly, she stopped.
"What’s wrong?" Sheng Yan noticed her pale face and immediately supported her, asking.
"I think I’m going into labor." Shen Weiyi touched her belly, her face contorted with concern.
"Don’t be scared, I’ll call my brother." Sheng Yan hesitated for a moment, then quickly took out his phone to call Sheng Ting.
After the phone rang, no one answered on the other side. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"Why aren’t they answering the phone?" His little face turned pale with worry.
Shen Weiyi took a deep breath, waiting for the contractions to pass, and gripping his hand to reassure him, "Don’t worry, I’m okay."
Luckily, the call finally connected at the last moment.
Hearing the news that Shen Weiyi was about to give birth, Sheng Ting was completely stunned.
Even though he had been prepared, he still couldn’t help feeling a bit panicky in that moment.
Fortunately, he quickly calmed down and instructed Sheng Yan, "Don’t be afraid, I’ll be right back. Take good care of her for now."
Sheng Yan, with a very serious expression, looked up to Shen Weiyi and said, "I’ll help you get back home first."
