Shen Weiyi looked at Shen Tan across from her and asked, "Why did you suddenly decide to treat me to coffee today?"

"He’s back."

Shen Tan stirred her coffee cup and looked at the siblings playing nearby, speaking with a face full of worries.

"Who?" Shen Weiyi was completely bewildered by the abrupt remark.

Shen Tan dropped the spoon she was holding, took a sip of her coffee, and then spat out a name, "Jiang Yu."

Shen Weiyi was stunned for a moment, and it took her a long time to remember who that person was, then she turned to the twins beside her and said, "You mean Yanyan and Ningning’s father? Your ex-boyfriend, the little puppy?"

"It’s the ex-ex-ex-boyfriend," Shen Tan corrected.

Shen Weiyi didn’t care about which ex he actually was, but was more concerned, "Does he know about Yanyan and Ningning’s existence?"

Shen Tan slightly furrowed her brows, a touch of worry flashing across her face, "He’s seen them, but I lied to him that Yanyan and Ningning are only five years old. He probably can’t guess they are his kids."

"What do you plan to do?" She watched as all her friends got married, and now only Shen Tan was left.

She used to flirt with twenty guys in a single day, but now she seemed to have completely lost interest in life, living a life of simplicity and chastity. Her days were spent working and taking care of the children, ignoring any suitors that others introduced to her.

In her words, she had seen enough of men and planned to live her life with her children from now on.

But she was still young, with a long life ahead, and she couldn’t possibly go on like this forever.

Shen Tan pursed her lips and said, "Not much to do, but I definitely won’t give the kids to him." The children she carried for ten months and raised with hardship could never possibly be handed over to anyone else.

Having said that, she looked up at Shen Weiyi, "I might need to leave them with you for a while. Now that I live in the same neighborhood as that guy, I’m afraid frequent encounters might make him suspicious about their origins. Once I find a new house and move out, I’ll take them back."

The children were still small and their features hadn’t fully developed. At first glance, they resembled her, but if one looked closely, many similarities with him could be identified.

The best solution was to keep the children away from him. With no meetings, he naturally wouldn’t suspect anything.

"Okay, I’ll take them to my place later, which will be perfect since they can be with Xiao Ye and Bao’er," Shen Weiyi said, as she quite liked the two little ones and naturally had no objections.

"Thank you, Weiyi," Shen Tan sincerely thanked her.

If it hadn’t been for Shen Weiyi, she might not have had the courage to have these two children.

She and Jiang Yu had come full circle, but ultimately hadn’t ended up together. Later Jiang Yu went abroad, and she found out she was pregnant after he left.

What’s more, despite her family’s objections, she had defiantly decided to have the twins, even falling out with her family over it.

These years, thanks to Shen Weiyi’s support, although raising two children alone was hard, fortunately, both were rather well-behaved, which was probably the most comforting thing for her.

"Why be so formal with me?" Shen Weiyi chuckled, "Have you forgotten how you closed your studio to take care of me when I was pregnant? We’re sisters, and there’s no need to keep things from each other."
