Seed of Titan-Chapter 82: Aiming for the Weak Points
Seeing Drai’s amused snort, Donk pouted.
"Heretic mocking. Donk hate. Punish."
Donk’s right hand came slapping at Drai. Despite its size which was even bigger than Donk’s own body, it wasn’t slow at all.
Drai countered with a right hook, striking the giant palm. Unfortunately for him, his fist smashed against Donk’s middle finger, which only managed to flick the finger back but didn’t stop the rest of the hand from landing on him.
"Ugh!" Drai grunted as he was pushed aside.
Not wanting to let the opponent recover, Donk turned his body and sent a backhand slap.
Drai learned quickly not to target the fingers. He met Donk’s knuckle with an elbow spin.
"Aargh!" Donk yelped as Drai’s elbow stabbed his knuckle. He quickly retracted his hand, which felt like it had just punched a nail.
"Combat 1 theory: the same amount of force will be multiplied if delivered through a smaller surface area. Even a high heel can easily puncture someone’s skull," Drai explained.
"Talk much! Donk no like!" Donk yelled as he sent another slap with his left hand.
Drai smirked and dashed forward. Instead of aiming for the palm, he opted for the smaller wrist instead.
Drai clenched his fist in such a way that his middle finger’s joint slightly protruded. And with a whoosh, he sent a straight punch, focusing all his power on the small tip of his middle finger joint as he slammed into Donk’s wrist.
"Aargh! Hurt much! Hurt!" Donk cried.
Donk’s wrist that wasn’t affected by the enlargement skill was easily cracked by Drai’s attack.
Drai didn’t let Donk’s cries bother him. He knew that nobody from the first-year group could stand against Donk’s prowess, so he had to be ruthless.
Drai repeated the same attack, this time onto Donk’s right wrist.
Crack!
Donk’s other wrist also fractured. His large hands were now dangling on his sides.
Unlike Drai, Donk couldn’t enlarge his whole body, so he had no strength to lift his hands after both his wrists were damaged.
Klaus saw their chance and stood up. "Let’s go!" he ordered his team before rushing forward.
The twenty or so melee fighters immediately followed suit, each of them getting ready to finish the weakened enemy.
James spun his hammer that was starting to glow brighter, amassing a force.
Running beside him, Jian unsheathed Full Moon. His qi churned and flowed through meridians, elevating his combat strength.
Leading the pack, Klaus roared and made a leap. The students behind him watched in astonishment as Klaus transformed mid-air. His body enlarged slightly, ripping his clothes. Patches of black fur grew rapidly across his skin, and his teeth and nails turned into sharp black fangs and claws.
When Klaus landed, he didn’t look like a human anymore. He even started running on four limbs.
"Klaus is a furry?!" Jian exclaimed as he looked at the beastly Klaus who let out constant growls as he ran. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Jian only knew that Klaus was from the Nature Faculty, and he did find it weird that Klaus’ build wasn’t typical of a nature student, looking more like that of his or Drai’s classmates. But Jian thought that Klaus was merely a gentle giant who loved nature, not a ferocious beast.
"Klaus is an ursanthrope. He can turn into a black granite bear," James mentioned to Jian.
Jian looked at James and asked, "Why didn’t he go to the Body Transformation Faculty then?"
"It’s different from bloodline classes that hybrids belong to. He’s more like a druid, and you can think of his transformation as one of his spells."
Jian nodded in realization. He now understood why Klaus opted for the Nature Faculty. His beast form wasn’t something that required physical training but instead could be enhanced with skills and spells, making the Faculty of Nature a better fit for him.
"I guess he’d be in a magic faculty if he’d gone to another academy," Jian remarked, knowing that most academic institutions didn’t have a nature faculty.
"He said that if he had failed our admission test, he would’ve gone to a wilderness ranger academy instead," James said.
Jian nodded as he found it reasonable. Even Soluna Academy’s nature students tend to apply to be a wilderness ranger since their skills and knowledge aligned with the profession.
While James and Jian were talking, the group had almost arrived at their destination.
"Keep him down, Drai!" Klaus barked. His voice was barely understandable since it sounded like if a beast had learned to talk.
Drai didn’t need words to understand Klaus’ intent though, so he pushed down hard on Donk’s bulky shoulders, keeping him still in a seated position.
Seeing his helpless prey, Klaus roared and pounced on Donk, aiming straight toward his dangling arm.
’Let’s see if you can still act brazenly here with your arms ripped out!’ Klaus viciously thought as his paw inched closer to the flabby arm.
However, a teal rope suddenly appeared near Klaus and latched onto his feet, pulling him down to the ground.
"Grr!" Klaus growled before slamming hard onto the ground. The teal rope then snapped back and threw Klaus onto the building behind Donk.
Unable to control his flight, Klaus inevitably crashed into the building, resulting in a third hole on the wall.
The rest of the group skidded to a stop. Drai also released his grip from Donk’s shoulders and took a few steps back while reverting to his original size in order to refresh his skill’s cooldown.
From the side of the building, Venus appeared and slowly made her way toward Donk who was now on the verge of breaking down.
On her way there, she glanced at the students who were standing frozen nearby.
"Tsk. You can’t even deal with a group of level one or two heretics by yourself, Donk? You’re shaming us second-stagers," Venus snidely remarked.
Donk turned his head to his team leader, wearing a pitiful expression.
"Venus wrong. Heretic no weak. No punish, Venus," he implored.
"Still not admitting your fault, huh? Heh, looks like you can’t get anymore candy from now, Donk," Venus snickered as she arrived at Donk’s side and playfully patted his bloated head.
Hearing this, Donk instantly threw himself on the ground while reverting his hands. He grabbed onto Venus’ ankles and cried, "No! Donk want candy! Venus meanie! Donk no wrong!"
The watching students gulped nervously. Normally, seeing a scene of an obese grown man begging on his knees for candy would either feel awkward or hilarious. But these students didn’t have the luxury to feel either way, for they had seen how easily Venus dispatched the transformed Klaus who was now nowhere to be seen, probably lying unconscious inside the building.
