SEX WITH MY BEST FRIEND'S FIANCÉ-Chapter 258
- HAZEL -
I stare at my figure in the mirror as the midnight blue dress lines down my body. It is a sleeveless, deep cowl neck, strap detail, open back dress. My revealed back is lined with diamonds on the strap and two ties hangs down behind me from both ends of my neck till it reaches my ankles. The shimmer of my outfit catches my eyes. This fit is layered with stones all over.
I feel my cheeks flush as I examine the detail of the outfit. It looks like it was hand crafted for me. To suit my body. I cannot help but blush at that. Today, professional make up artists, cosmo therapists, fashion designers and nail specialists arrived at my door step along with the delivery of this fit. The good thing is, my parents weren’t around when that happened otherwise, I would’ve had a lot of explaining to do. I haven’t really involved them in my personal life of recent, and they’ve been too busy to even be involved but they surely will seem to think I am spending this ‘away from school’ period quite well with their money. Because how do I explain my man who’s over thirty organised this for me? Or rather, his brother.
I let out a sigh, keeping my eyes plastered on my gorgeous reflection, recalling today. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
‘Took me quite the time but I found you.’ Was written on the card the massive gift boxes came in with the signature; L, at the bottom.
Liam sent it. And he hired professionals to ensure every single detail about me tonight was done to perfection. If I didn’t know better, I would’ve thought he had a thing for me.
I flaunt my ass to show in the mirror as I admire my back. This is the most elegant I’ve ever seen myself. I have my finger and toe nails done, manicured and pedicured with nails matching my outfit. I have my hair done and my skin glowing.
I avert my gaze to the side where my shoes are on the floor. My shoes are crafted with metallic leather. Strappy uppers adorned with crystals sit atop the stilettos. And my jewellery, I gasp, oh my jewellery is the best part. I raise my hand up to feel the piece hanging on my neck.
It’s a simple diamond set. There is something modest about this set that makes it easy to identify from a glance that it is mad expensive. I don’t know the kinds of women Liam has been with but they surely taught this man some taste because what?! I am screaming internally. It is so hard to get myself together and compose outwardly. I love looking this pretty. I love being this elegant and pampered.
It sure has been a while.
The loud ding that echoes in my room draws my attention to my bed. I walk to my bed, heading straight for my phone. The screen is lit up.
“Look out the window.” I read out loud. I blink, completely dumbfounded. With both my hands securing my phone in front of me at chest level, I walk to my window. My jaw almost drop. Parked outside, behind my fence, is an SUV. Liam is standing in front of it with a bouquet. He has a smile on his face as he waves at me.
Should I be concerned that he knows where my room window is as well as the fact that I did as his text said?
I notice Liam’s attention shift to his phone. I immediately receive a text.
‘Would you do me the honours of being my date, tonight?’
I roll my eyes, my smile way too wide for my own good. As if he hasn’t asked me already, I think to myself, walking back to my bed. My hand reaches for the silver purse, also gifted to me by Liam, and I trot out of my room not forgetting to grab my silver shoes. My feet are secured with fluffy crocs.
Heading down the massive stairs, I thank the stars I did not wear the heels. This home of mine is plain modern. Glass exterior walls, massive expensive stairs which lines from the living room up to the other rooms in the house. Fifteen rooms, outside the home gym, indoor cinema, indoor stargazing room and game room then the jacuzzi spa. It is literally what people refer to as an indoor heaven. I was too young when my parents moved from here so I don’t remember why we chose a less modern mansion over this mega one to begin with. I guess I’ll never know.
I step out the front door, walking to the gate now. This estate itself is designed to accommodate only those with pockets that can afford it.
Liam is standing right in front of the gate, his car blocking the entrance. He drove to this part so I don’t have to walk further before meeting him. That’s sweet.
“Does this answer your question?” I tease, walking out the gate. I’m referring to my presence in relation to his text message. Liam stares at me in a passing gaze before holding his hand out to accompany me. I let my palm rest on his as he leads me to the back seat. The door comes open. I sit first then place both my legs inside. This is when he hands me the bouquet. “Thank you.” I say to him.
“It’s my pleasure.” Liam winks at me. This makes my lips purse into a smile. “I would say a word or more about how breathtaking you look but I don’t want my brother to have my head.”
I almost laugh aloud. The unsaid compliment has been fully passed across. “I- I love the evening attire.” I say, draping my eyes over my figure on the seat.
Liam’s eyes are on me, dug straight into my eyes. I notice the curve of the end of his lips to a side before his mouth parts open to say something. “It was all Killian.” Liam utters. This makes my face flat and my eyes widen. “He had it made specifically for you.”
I don’t know what to say. This information changes everything, I thought Killian was staying away from me. I thought he didn’t want to see me at all. I had received no text nor call from him. I wasn’t sure if I should’ve messaged him or not, maybe he was busy and the last chat we had was me reaching out to him when I arrived home from Kate’s beach house and he left me on read. I swallow. I don’t know what to think. None of this is making sense. The man doesn’t say a word to me for days then proceeds to send me a dress. One he knew I would obviously love.
My throat creases as a sickened look soon comes to be on my face. That is the worst way of apologising to me if that was his intention.
“In as much as I would love to take the credit.” The masculine voice brought me back to Earth. It seems to be that my mind had wandered away far too long and he noticed.
“I’d love to pass my gratitude. Will Killian be there?” I ask.
Liam nods at me. Good. Very good. The car door comes shut beside me and I buckle my seat belt before Liam makes his way to the driver’s seat. The car starts and we begin to move. My gratitude to Killian will be passed along with a slap across the face.
