In the end, it didn't seem like he could make up his mind.

I didn't know how long we had been in this place, but it felt like we had been here for a while now and he still hadn't picked out a relic to give me.

It was down to the final three, but it really didn't seem like he wanted to give me any of them.

I really didn't know what to say.

Though there was a part of me that felt like I didn't need to say anything since he should be able to read my mind in the first place.

After another while, Aquaron finally made his decision.

"Sigh, I guess I can spare this one thing. I hope that you will realize just how magnanimous I am being by giving this to you. If I don't have this, my summer outfit will have a part missing from it." The way that he said this really sounded like he didn't want to part with this.

It was almost as if there was something that was forcing him to part with this thing.

It was almost as if there was someone that would have forced him to hand it over if he didn't give it up willingly.

There was no telling what could force a god to give up something like this, but I had some ideas.

If I had to guess, I could already guess who it was related to.

As if he was admitting to this, Aquaron said, "I hope that you'll put in a few good words for me when you see her next time."

A bitter smile appeared on my lips, but I didn't say anything as I looked at the relic that he

sent over to me.

This relic was inside of a bubble of water as it floated over to me.

Once it reached my hand, the bubble of water popped and the relic landed in my hand.

It was a button.

This really didn't seem like a relic with the shape that it had, but I could also sense the mana that filled this button.

That large amount of mana in the button showed that it was indeed a relic and it wasn't just any relic. This was a relic that was worthy of being known as a relic of a god with how much power seemed to be in it.

It was just that I had no idea what this button would be used for.

He said that it was part of his summer outfit...would this button even have a proper use?

Only Aquaron seemed to ignore my thoughts again as he said, "Do you want to get another relic from me?"

I was pulled out of my thoughts and I looked at him with a confused look.

He seemed to ignore the way that I looked at him and just treated it as if I had agreed to what he said. He just continued to speak as if it was only natural that I would agree to his request. But it wasn't as if he was wrong...

A chance to obtain another relic, that was indeed a rare opportunity.

Aquaron just continued by saying, "There's been a bit of trouble in my realm during the past period of time."

I was surprised to hear him admit this.

I thought that with his kind of personality, this would be something that he wouldn't admit.

But it seemed like I had underestimated him.

It seemed that he was as magnanimous as a god that he was able to admit these things without a single care. Though in a way, it also seemed like he didn't really care about these things.

It was almost as if it was beneath him.

As if he was responding to me...

"As a god, it's only natural that I care about the people under my dominion."

An awkward smile appeared on my face, but I didn't say anything as I waited for him to continue.

He just continued by saying, "You should know that it isn't just the mermaid and merman alone who are under my dominion, there are others that are living in this realm under the ocean."

I slowly nodded in agreement since I did know about this from my knowledge from the game. After all, there were also the sea witches that were under the ocean.

"It's been a long time since there has been peace in my domain and in the future, peace will be important when we face the forces of darkness. That is why I want your help in reclaiming the peace in my territory."

I raised a brow and slowly asked, "How will I do that?"

Aquaron said in a casual tone, "That is up to you. My job as a god is just to simply give the oracle, it's up to you mortals to make it happen."

A bitter smile appeared on my face again as I looked at him, but the way that he floated there without a care seemed like he was done talking about this.

It seemed that he was fully wiping his hands from this matter and just leaving it to me.

In the end, I said with a sigh, "Alright, I'll see what I can do."

However, there was one thing that I had to make sure of.

"What if I can't do it?"

Aquaron suddenly stopped acting frivolous and looked at me directly, like he was looking at me with a serious look.

After a moment of silence, he said, "The ones that will suffer will be you mortals if you can't

do this. The forces of darkness can't be stopped, so the only thing that can be done is to build up our forces to fight against them."
