After negating it, that was when the divine energy disappeared.

However, that didn’t mean that it didn’t leave a single trace behind.

Since that was where the corruption energy disappeared, I took a closer look at the pedestal.

When I was right by it, I could sense the mana that was coming from inside of it.

It wasn’t a small amount of mana. It was as if there was a sea of mana coming from this pedestal.

That sea of mana was what the barrier should have been drawing on to maintain itself.

Once all of these pieces of the puzzles clicked into place, I seemed to understand how this thing worked.

Especially since now that I was closer, I could tell that there was an aura that was coming from the pedestal that was similar to the relics that I received from the gods. That meant that there was divine energy inside of this pedestal.

The divine energy seemed to be mixing with the corruption energy, which negated it.

But this process seemed to be different from the process that the normal divine energy negated the corruption energy.

Once the divine energy negated that corruption energy, it seemed to create a burst of mana.

When I felt this, I couldn’t help thinking of something similar from my past life...
