SILVER-HAIRED-Chapter 143: The Guest
"Windows? Last time I was here there was no such thing" at the sudden deep voice I jumped facing who was responsible, there was a man suddenly beside me that I didn’t see coming.
"W-Who are you?" I demanded, he really took me by surprise, it was like he just appeared there out of nowhere. And then he turned to me and my breath caught.
"Nick-" I paused... no this wasn’t Nicklaus, he loved so much like him, the features, stature everything, but the only difference was that his hair was kept in shoulder length, but some packed up. A smile was evident on his lips, his dim green eyes shone in amusement.
I gulped... could he be?
"Forgive me for startling you Empress," he said with a bow.
"You’re..."
His smile broadens. "It’s alright if you do not know me... this is actually the first time I have met you"
He doesn’t know my past self too, goddess Yelena must have never met him. Celeste did mention that I won’t because he travels from Realm to Realm a lot, he never stayed in one place and they haven’t seen him for a long time but why was he suddenly here?
"Alaric Darkmore, Empress" he introduced. "And you must be my brother’s mate... one I have heard exciting stories about", he brought out his hand and I knew what he was asking for.
"Yelena Darkmore," I said, giving him my hand, he took it and brushed a kiss on my knuckles. "Exquisite" he commented, his voice, his looks everything was identical to Nicklaus but the only difference was his style. His charms were almost identical to Nicklaus.
"So the great Fox goddess is now a mortal?" He raised an eyebrow. "Funny I smell your Fox blood, it is awakened but yet something is blocking that part of you" his eyes narrowed. "And your memories too"
"Alaric!" at the booming voice we turned to see Nicklaus, I was still as he sauntered towards us, his eyes remained on his brother.
"Ha brother... How long has it been? Last I heard you were cursed to the Mortal Realm... I came as quickly as I could when I heard of your return" Alaric said amused.
Now they stood head to head. It was like staring at two twins but with different characteristics, I gulped.
"Alaric" Nicklaus said sternly, he didn’t seem happy to see him the way he looks. "It’s unusual that you have come here, I haven’t seen you for centuries"
"Well home is the perfect destination is it not? And besides with your awakening and the grand ball planned by your first Empress has brought me here, I’m dying to see it. You know I always crave fun" he said his gaze drifted to me, and I blushed. "I look forward to the ball tomorrow, I hope we get more time to talk... for your husband is here," he said politely before bowing, hands behind his back.
"Now where is our sweet little sister?" he mused as he exited the hall.
"He looks just like you," I said breathlessly. They were like twins, maybe they were because they grew from the same branch.
"Part of the genes as siblings," Nicklaus remarked.
"Hmm you do not seem to like your brother... that’s rude"
"I did not say I do not like him" he rolled his eyes.
"Well your looks say it all husband"
"He’s noisy and it’s annoying"
"Hmm he seems like an interesting person then"
"Just avoid him and don’t let him fill your head with ideas"
I folded my arms. "I’m actually seeing your brother for the first time and you’re telling me not to be near him, not exactly the family reunion"
"He’s like a stranger to us, truth is Celeste and I hardly know him and I don’t trust him around you, so avoid him"
"Don’t tell me what to do" I frowned.
He sighed. "I trust you would understand me, wife"
"And you should know I’m not the one to order around... see you at the ball husband", before he could say anymore I was already walking away.

"And you should know I’m not the one to order around... see you at the ball husband," she said sternly, that fire that he loves so much blinking in her eyes, gods this woman. Before he could open his mouth to speak she was already walking away.
gods she was mean and so beautiful, it has been two days since that last quarrel and he was hardly at their chambers, in short, he never came to bed, he still felt the need to give her some peace although it angered him to do so and made his beast unstable, that side of his was becoming more unhinged and he feared the worse, his beast both desired his mate but the manner in which it did, disturbs him.
gods he could only just watch as she walks away, He sighed heavily adjusting the collar of his royal robe like it was too tight for him, he wasn’t sure how long he can contain himself, he yearned to hold her even though it has just been days since he last did and their last session was all he could think of. She gave herself to him without fearing his beast even for a second, she was always so submissive to him, and he loved it but still, it was a risk. What happened that day would always haunt him, the day he lost control.
He turned his gaze to the window, still and his stern eyes watching the snow descending from the skies, it has been snowing endlessly for days and he was the cause of it, his mood was off this period and the weather only just showed, he would figure out a way to set it right or it would snow for gods know how long, more snow puddles and coated places.
For a minute before his peripheral vision, he saw the snowy view as a forest, a beautiful forest, with evergreen grasses and wonderful colorful flowers, his eyes saddened. Yelena’s Realm, the Spirit Forest.
